I wanted to automatically say he's crazy, but I'm not sure. He is "unstable" but what sticks out for me is he isn't working anymore. Not everyone who gets laid off is like this but there are those who are so angry they lash out at family, friends, spouse, partner, whatever. I'm not saying it's okay. I'm just wondering if it could be a possibility. Also I've seen situations like this before. Then again maybe he is just crazy.

For me the second outburst would've ended all communication with him.
