These normally aspirated diesel Merc's was not about speed at all, but extreeme durabillty!

It's not unusual to find ex. W124 diesels that have driven almost 1 million km!!!

Ja mam taki sam silnik 113 km i zbiera się o wiele, wiele lepiej . Od 70-100 to mój tak się zbiera na 5 biegu a ty lecisz na max z pedałem w podłodze

that sounds nothing like the w124 300d straight six you got different engine in yours or somewhat. Just bought mine and the engine is sweet sounds similar to a petrol at high revs really great machine and bought for pocket money..bargain..

my uncle has a w124 250d turbo, i can drive it from 0-100 in about 12 seconds.
