so, it's a sampler/sequencer/groove module. it looks fine, i guess, but with ableton live, reason, fl studio, orion, acid pro, groove machine,etc out there, i just can't see a need for such an expensive unit. it sequences and tweaks samples, just like any DAW or sequencing program that costs less than an 1/8 of what this is going for.

The best machine ever will be close to this... The technology is here but the mind isn't. The pop up screens are a good thing need to go a step further. The best machine will have a pop up that shows a 3d graphic touch screen of ADSR, Filter, Cutout and modulation for each sound. no lag. 10 stereo or 20 individual tracks. 24/96 recording, 8inputs, immediate resampling, drag and drop envelopes so that you can place your sounds where you want it linearly as it plays. Ths is nice.

Just saw the machine in action today. Really really good.. I spoke with the developer, this man have much much much playing live, he's making a beat in less time I wrote this comment... He does a bunch of patterns and then he's able to play live each of them with the pad (pad - step sequencer), record what he plays in midi, apply vst fx.. It's like if you have ableton Live, Elektron gear's best functions every of your vst just under your hands. I think this product have a bright future..TO SEE!
