  • Now they are being forced off their farms, do I feel sorry, only sometimes..

  • Hi Andre: thanks for your reaction. I will forward to Joe Schaffers, the guide of the District Six museum. The original dvd is about 50 minutes.Kind Regards: Hans de Ridder, Cape Productions. E-mail: hans@capeproductions.co.za

  • I thoroughly enjoyed your video - I was born in Constitution St opposite Bloemhoff Flats . My grandmother and mother grew up in District 6. What a shame the goverment wrecked such a beautiful vibrant community where i had such pleasant memories. My grandmother was moved to Hanover Park - what a letdown and culture shock for everybody.

  • What happened to the Jews that lived in District 6?

Did they stay, or were they sent to the Cape Flats too?

  • some have stayed some have been forced out, jews are nice peoiple but a certain amount are very racist, they believe they are better than blacks, so because of this sickness in there mind they decicded to leave after the collapse of the aparthied.

  • I knew a lot of Jewish South Africans living in the UK. I never liked them, they were usually very mean. I think it's because they went from a country with a low living cost to the UK, which has a very high living cost. They also had lots of servants in SA, which they can't afford in the UK.

But the ones who left for the USA in the last few years, I don't blame them. They don't feel safe in South Africa anymore.

  • some in my school moved from south africa at the end.

  • why do whites take the land from people of color, and then get upset if the black peopole want it back? why do they think they are entitled to someone elses land?

  • Most of South Africa was not inhabited when settlers arrived and thus belonged to no one.

  • It was inhabited by the Khosian Africans that are native to South Africa and related to the first human peoples.

  • There population was very small and they were nomadic anyway. Xhosa and zulu tribes were only located north of the fish river and at that time their population was very small too. The rest of the country was not populated.

  • DaTruth2024-

Wouldn't everyone be related to the first human beings?

  • oh is that how you justify racism, and conquering of a nation, maybe you can believe it in some sick mind of yours but all the world knows what the aparthied got up to, and now they are paying for it.

  • What nation are you referring to? The nation of South Africa was formed by white settlers. The original bantus and khoi san small in number and nomadic. They can harldly be called a nation.

And besides, almost every nation on earth was formed through some sort of war. Thats the way things were done hundreds of years ago. Its stupid to try and retroactively impose modern laws and morality of that time.

  • @drevil5001 Well said!

  • @drevil5001 white people love to steal haha

  • @Ezema25 Typical black mentality

  • @drevil5001 Hahaha you are funny dude...its funny what people can say on the internet but in real life, face to face you can't open your damn mouth

  • @Ezema25 Its funny that you think I don't say that face to face. Not all of us are scared to speak the truth.

  • @drevil5001 do you support the apartheid system?

  • @Ezema25 No

  • Exactly!

  • because they think they can get away with it, i go to south africa almost three times a year since 2000, its different now but poverty is rife there, whites dont mix that much still but they queue up the same they shop the same, its just in those time they were supported by the western racist countries but as you know times move on and countries must change aswell, cape town is beautiful i suggest you visit but be careful dont go out on the streets at night
