I turn of my filter when I feed my fish, anyone else?

Weißt du, welche Barben ausser Fünfgürtel und Sumatrabarben kann man eig. noch in so einem Asien-Becken halten???

Most snails are a useful addition to the ecosystem of a tank. They are the garbage collectors of your tank. E.g. if you feed to much, their population will increase.

Personally i wouldn't fight them.

There are fish that eat snails, but most of them are problematic to keep, and eat more snails than you got. Then you have to look for more and more snails.

First you should try feeding smaller portions more often a day.

dame i used to have a Pearl Gourami. it was realy big , i had him for about 3 years, then he died, it was a very sad day in my house

Yeah, they are great fish. It's always sad when a fish dies. My sympathies.

@n03lzz how do u get ur flake to sink like that, i dont think my flake ever sinks 4 inches due to my charging tiger barbs and gobbl everything up in secands

Schönes Video , Interessantes Becken .

Hatte auch mal Sumatrabarben mit Mosaikfadenfischen zusammengesetzt , aber die Sumatrabarben haben sich , als sie grösser wurden , an den Fadenfischen zu schaffen gemacht . Habe die Barben dann in ein anderes Becken gesetzt .

Ja, wenn man Barben vergesellschaften will muss man darauf achten, dass das Becken ihren Ansprüchen entspricht. Viel Platz, ausreichend Schwimmraum und viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten in dichterer Bepflanzung. Meine Sumatrabarben sind ohne Ausnahme absolut friedlich.

After 30minutes, there is absolutly no uneaten food left.

schönes Becken :) mich wunderts das sich die Fadenfische mit den Tigerbarben vertragen, bei mir haben damals die Barben immer schön den Fischen die Faden angefressen... ^^

Das Becken muss gewisse Ansprüche beider Fischarten erfüllen damit die Sumatrabarben nicht so eine Verhaltensstörung entwickeln.

The one at 0:12 isn't a plec. Chinese algae-eaters are related to loaches.
