While holding foward you have to hold both the trigger to make your guy run,and hold the action button to make him jump off the ledge, (kinda at the same time if your right on the ledge) then mash the attack button to assasinate. So basically you act like your running and jumping off a ledge, which you are, then you just keep mashing the attack button. Its really easy once you do it, practice on guards first. Good luck!

on the ps3 just hold R1 and then press the armed hand butten the he wil jump and assasinte the gaurd but the gaurd jou want to kill must be nearby

Hi Rectowarrior, can I ask how you did that slide at 1:01? I haven't tried it yet but does it look like you used gasp? I want to learn from you master :D :D please teach me XD I 've played alot of playthroughs with AC I and ACII but that is one amazing move :D !!!!!

@VelvetxRevolverx I'm pretty sure it is possible on console versions because I watched videos of console players performing it.

At 1:01, there is a green bar that appears on the top right of teh screen, follow that to my other video which details on that mechanic, which i dubbed "vaulting"

Okay, I've been trying this, and It won't work. Do you have to be at a certain point in the game. Because I'm just starting. I'm hanging right above an enemy and it won't work. Am I too close to the guard?

@VincentKintobor Well....all you need is the hidden blade really. Then you just follow the directions exactly. The jump-assassinate from a still position is easier. If you can do that, then procede to the running one

@VincentKintobor Oh and one more thing. You can't be hanging off anything where your legs are off the wall (like those wooden lamp posts that are perpendicular to the wall) You need to have your feet on the wall.

So, Altiar knew how to perform an air assassination, but it was Ezio that perfected it.

@VincentKintobor Ezio learned it from Altair's Codex pages; he and Malik tested different moves sometime after AC1 when Altair was grandmaster. Same for dual hidden blades, etc.

But yeah, Ezio is probably the first (besides Altair) to perfect the moves, you could call him a student if you take away the 300-year gap lol
