Actually, it was originally written for the Pocketwatch cassette dave made before Nirvana ended. Kurt Cobain liked the song so he asked Dave to do it on a B-Side
There is also a version of this on an album called "Pocketwatch". Dave recorded it under the name "LATE!". Just thought I'd share this piece of info. =]
Dave wrote the song just before kurt asked him to join the band, but it wasnt untill 1993 in the in utero demo sessions that they finally recorded it.
It was nirvana's b side on the heart shaped box single!!
I think Kurt was happy for Dave to take some credit for a song for a change. You may also be interested to know dave wrote the material for scentless apprentice which did make the in uetro album!

best song, best rock band ever.

Dave is a greater drummer, besides this was written originally for Nirvana.
Dave drumming blows Taylor's away. This is considered a cover even though Dave wrote. It's still great!

Dave was on guitar, Kurt on bass, and kurt on drums again which was the reason nirvana never did this live because krist could only play bass.
