  • Basically you just have to set your priorities. If you eat unhealthily and gain weight, you'll die young and feel like shit. If you eat healthily, exercise and maintain a healthy weight, you'll live long and feel great. The only way you can gain weight is if you're eating when you already have enough food to meet your energy demands. Shut the fuck up and stop bitching about your weight and do something about it, FATTY!

  • hey i have a joke how do you get a fat woman into bed.....peace of cake

  • please answer this 3 questions poll, won't take 90 seconds

    google >> 7BWC5ZK

a friend need it for homework

    thanks =D

  • The blonde girl who said she plays sports wasn't fat. Just saying...

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta

Whatever, survival of the fittest just remember that

  • @PrychamNaCiebie no thats not what you should do but they do need that. thats what made me change my life. i didnt get made fun of or picked. but the way people looked at me and the uncomfortability that came from it along with the occasional bad comments about my weight drove me to the mental breaking point. i fuckin had enough. fat epole just need to get motivated.

  • This was very honest, straight forward. Something not seen often in phony, make excuses fucking America.

So then, it clearly shows (again) if you are fat, it is because you eat too much, and then do not move around - you fat, fucking pig!

Therefore, it is imperative, to make fun of, humiliate, and bully fat children (and adults) at every opportunity.

This will make them eat even more, and soon they will die - much like the dinosaurs.

  • It has been scientifficly proven that you can alter your genes through diet and exercise. The obesity epidemic has to be hit head on starting with the parents and moving it's way into the public school system. When your child spends over eight hours a day in a class room with a teacher that is usually overweight themselves, constantly asking the children to bring them in another bag of candy, while they suck down gallons of pop and lick the bottom of the chip bag it makes it very hard for kids

  • @myamyvice187 Part of the problem is that kids have become sedentary. They stay inside on the couch using internet, texting, on ipods and video games. When I was young, we had our share of burgers, pizza, hot dogs etc. But between P.E., riding our bikes, football, swimming during the summer, and roller skating on Sunday nights, we all stayed slim. You only saw a fat kid once in a while. None of us were fat because we played outside and burned off what we ate. A message to kids-GO OUT AND PLAY!

  • Yes there are all kinds of other factors like gene,s thyroid and other stuff but over 90% is DIET and ACTIVITY!! People used the genes excuse WAY too much.

  • @MondoBeno

hormone deficiency and excuses... just stop feeding it like its a cow

  • @PanosConroe It? Are we talking about people? Last time I checked, people weren't referred to as "it". And while a lot of people do use excuses to as why there obese, sometimes its really not there fault, or totally there parents fault. There's genes, thyroid, all kinds of things to factor in.

  • @PanosConroe comparing a fat person to a cow is insulting......to the cow

  • I am an obese child and proud of it. I don't care what the media shoves at me and I honestly don't give a crap about the health problems it could cause in the future. It's my life and I will live it how I wish to. I don't care if I die early, we all die anyway! Why bother holding off the inevitable? I'm going to eat the foods I want, spend NO time outside, and generally avoid leaving the house because that's what I feel like doing. Nobody can make me do otherwise unless I want to which I don't.

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta Unfortunately you are to young to know the consequences of your choices as a child. You will regret your choices and lack of action taken to be healthy when you are older. Count on it.

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta lol some day you will have to get a job/fend for yourself just like everyone else kid, your views on health will probablly change as you get older too.but for the time being i admire your confidence lmao.

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta Love your comment. People don't understand that we humans have gotten to the top of the food chain, not by being starving, celibate fucks, we've done it through over-fucking & over-eating every shit we could get our hands on. I think if more people think like you, we wouldn't have wars. In fact, there is some collaboration that a fat president is a peaceful president... just look at William Taft... no wars. Just when a skinny fuck gets voted into office...BOOM! WW1 then WW2.

  • Schools is it really too difficult to have dances a day to help make sad kids happier.?Kids too young to be crying in secreat.Lets brighten the day give a dance to a child who other wise won,t find happy.Radioes are cheep.

  • it's simple,if your kid is fat - dont let it stuff it's face all day long.

  • My penis might be bigger than it actually looks?

FUCK i'm gonna go lose 100 pounds :)

  • At the age of 12 I weighed 135 lb, I then went to the Gold's Gym with my mom. I lost 17lb and now I'm happier than ever, with my body. I'm now 14, I stopped drinking soda, I almost never eat fires, no bacon, frozen yogurt only, no processed foods. I believe if people want to lose weight, they will. But, when they complain about being fat and don't even try to lose weight they don't deserve to be skinny. Eat yourself to your grave. No skin off my bones, only fat.

  • @dark0shade I done almost the same thing when i was 12 I was 177 and am now 14 and 134 and still loosing

  • Society want its people to be some impossible beings. It points out just the flaws of its citizens. You're either too fat or too thin, too tall or too short, too rich or too poor. Society needs to shut up. The fat & the skinny should stop trying to have a conversation with the ignorant & just punch them in the face really hard... that will shut'em up & get them back into their horrible cages.

  • This a Very Seriuos Topic!! Read the Fantastic Book by Zoe Harcombe called The Obesity Epidemic!! All The Best!!

  • 60% of all people overweight have insulin resistance. though 60% of time it can be caused by poor diet and lack of exercise, 40% of the time it is caused purely by genetics. And in a lot of cases both sides contribute. That means that 24% of ALL overweight people can't help the fact that they are overweight. And when you get the syndrome through genetics, its NEARLY IMMPOSSIBLE to lose weight from diet and exercise. So the next time someone bullies an overweight person, consider the facts...

  • lol put the fork down tiny

  • CAN EVERYBODY JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP IM WATCHING THE HOCKEY GAME!

  • I spent a number of years traveling around the world, one of the observations I made when it comes to being overweight is food, its availability and price. A very good example is African countries. Obesity is not as prevalent because food is hard to come by or expensive. I saw very few people that were obese in Ethiopia for example. Lots of obesity is US or UK. Conclusions……STOP EATING SO DAM MUCH!! Take away the source and fix the problem. Like any addiction.

  • Here in the South, childhood obesity is so common no one even notices it as a problem.

  • @Hyenashowl its not problem where I live in Georgia, and this is coming from a 16 year old. fat kids are around one in twenty

  • @Hyenashowl

I live in the south and at my school there are hardly any obese kids

  • Islam is the answer to prevent Obesity . Search this video on youtube:

    "Obesity and Eating in Islam"

  • @ChangaManga1000 Really? I see way more obese Muslims than obese Dutchmen here in Holland.

  • Cool intro song!

  • i used to be obese, i was 230 lbs at 13 years old, it took 10 months of hard work but i lost 50 lbs and now at 180 lbs and am now extremely active. Although i do sometimes eat the wrong food but i do it rarely and also work out to.

  • @jcwilliamsmustdie5 Congratulations on your weightloss! =) I am just now beginning my long overdue journey.

  • @altosax315 Good luck and remember you will get to your weight you want, if you work at it.

  • god that entrance song is so in my head foreva!!!

  • That point that this doctor made about kids eating the same amount of food is interesting. I think the problem is that people blow that far out of proportion. Of course everyone's basal metabolic rate will be different depending on the relevant factors, but kids don't generally become obese because of hormone issues. The vast majority of people are in a positive energy balance meaning that they consume more than they burn off.

  • @PurpleHoneyBear That is, it's not usually that they have significantly lowered BMR due to hormone issues, but rather they don't exercise, they eat too much, or (as in most cases) BOTH!

But indeed it isn't the fault of the child. Parents are on autopilot today, I swear.

  • @PurpleHoneyBear I just noticed that it's an overweight woman, the usual suspect, way overstating this relationship between genetics and obesity. Is she telling us that some kids have metabolic rates that are a thousand or so calories lower than other that of kids the same age, height, and gender? This is not some involuntary thing. If you exercise and eat well you will not be overweight. You might be born with more fat cells and whatever other disadvantage, but that's not the core determinant.

  • @PurpleHoneyBear BMR isnt important its RMR. you're not a clinician so plz stop preaching

  • @MrEurocat You don't know what you're talking about. Look up the definition of BMR and then look up people like Tom Venuto who primarily use it to get people started. It is NOT unimportant, and what you've said here is completely false.

You don't need to be a clinician to understand basic scientific knowledge. And you just contradicted yourself because you're making a value judgment on which is more important even though you yourself are not a clinician.

What I've said is rock solid science.

  • @MrEurocat And this nonsense about "preaching" is hilarious. You use that word to taint what I've said and cast a negative light onto it. My contributions were very worthy and my giving an opinion based off of research and critical thinking is something that people do in conversations. It's not about "preaching", it's about having an intelligent discussion.

  • I agree, the amount of unfit people in Western countries is a really poor relfection on society. I mean maybe some of the problem is genetics, but a lot of that can easily be controlled with discipline.

And to all you vegetarian/vegan freaks who are insulting meat-eaters, go fuck yourselves. I say this not because I hate non-meat-eaters, but because you're being assholes. Humans are meant to eat meat, it's fine if you don't want to, but don't make us out to be moral monsters for eating it.

  • In my opinion, the amount of fat kids in the USA is a real poor reflection on this society in general. Parents feed their kids crap, kids live off junk food, soda, chips and all the other crap. I see parents feeding their kids soda and donuts for breakfast....well I guess it is ok because it is low in fat, sugar is good. When I was a kid there was one fat kid in school, that kid by todays standards would not even be fat. I think that lack of discipline is out of control in this country...YUCK.

  • pedo man

  • How about I have a nice bloody rare steak for dinner? Mmm good.

  • @duck24x ......not relly but close

  • $100 says my trigger finger is faster.

Also FYI chickens and pigs are both omnivores and eat meat.

  • They'll eat whatever is forced upon them. But, unlike you, they won't whine and complain if fed only a vegan diet. Hence, they are superior to you.

  • If all I had to eat was a vegan diet that's what I would eat. That's not the case though.

  • excellent worker!

  • You are twisting my words.I didn't say we should make fun of them (although they somewhat deserve it)

  • and you somewhat deserve to fucking die cause youre a mistake of nature

  • I'm sorry if you're fat and got offended.

  • apology accepteddd

  • If your kid is obese, you should have them tested for hormone deficiency.

But you also have to look at how they're eating:

    1. Are they eating breakfast?

    2. Are they eating enough during the day?

    3. Are they so hungry by the time school is done that they raid the fridge the minute they get home?

    4. Do you keep junk food in the house?

    5. Do you serve foods that are high in fat, carbs, and salt?

    6. Do the kids have sit-down dinners, or do they have to eat in the car?

  • i eat breakfast, i eat food during the day, i raid the fridge when i get home, i dont have junk food in my house, i eat some salt but not a lot, i have sit down dinners. im perfectly still perfectly fit. im 5 foot 2 and a quarter and im 96 pounds

  • @MondoBeno ignore these comments - uneducated

  • @MondoBeno There is NO excuse for a child to be obese. No hormone deficiency will make them obese.Chubby perhaps in a few...but NEVER obese. It is ALWAYS the parents fault if a child is obese and they should be punished for it. Its child abuse.

  • @Morethanenough1 No, its not. It is how they want to raise their child and it is their choice.

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta Not sure what you mean. I don't think there is an excuse for childhood obesity, its not hormonal, it IS how they eat and are raised. As for being obese and proud.....your a twit. Not only is it unhealthy, unattractive but it's a drain on healthcare. But if you want to be fat, go for it, its a choice, you are free to eat what you want and excersise as little as you want.

  • ye no one cares that you got a 4 pack, if it was normal it would be a 6 pack....i hate fat, i lost 60 pounds of it

i just think that these obese kids are just whiny little brats

  • haha ya man! i dont know why some girls like to be so frekin skinny, its kind of a trun off sometimes if they go too far!

  • How come she only has all girls here not even a single boy, may be she is lesbian

  • I am TALLand WENT THOUGH and I was diagnosed WITH HYPOTHTHYRIODISM

  • There are only a teeny tiny percentage of people with hypothyroidism, this documentary is about the 99% of fat people who are fat because they eat too much. I'm sorry if you're stuck in a bracket that means you may be fat and tall for hormonal reasons but being overweight should not be accepted (the short term pain for people is worth it for the greater good).

  • i am a mildly obess child and I had to put up with being made fun of for my wieght..

NOW I FOUND OUT I HAVE HYPOTHTHYRIODISM.

look they shouldent treat overwieght people like they over eat..

  • They can. They just get hungry and aren't strong enough to not eat.

  • lol you shouldnt work out for longer than 1 hr no wander it took you so long.

just eat right and do HIIT which is high intensity interval training, look it up eh.

  • people only have themselves to blame.anyone with half a brain would know if you eat more than you need you'll pack on the pounds.they just dont care.

  • You're a jerk.

  • Question:

Is it the kids fault or the parents?

  • It's both. Personal responsibility and ignorance combined with a genetics and poor role models. It's a fucking shame, but it is a hard cycle to break.

  • Parents for sure.

  • its no one's fault

it shouldnt even be looked at as a problem

    it's just how people are

  • You're probably saying that because you're morbidly obese.

  • no i'm just saying we should accept people for who they are.

  • obesity is a major problem,it cant be overlooked just like that, saying that we should accept fat ppl for who they are, thats making things worst. You're not doing them a favor this way.

  • i just don't see the problem

  • I completely agree. People need to start being more honest when a friend asks them if they're fat. No other species gets fat because they don't have access to so much food so even having a bit of a gut isn't natural and shouldn't be accepted.

  • look if you been made fun of for being fat when you tried everthing and ate and exercised normaly

ONLEY TO FIND OUT IT WAS BECAUSE YOU HAD SOMETHING WRONG WITH WITH YOUR THYRIOD

  • People made fun of you because its a natural thing for humans to not accept someone that is obviously unhealthy. Like someone with very bad skin, overweight or whatever. It just happens.

  • not true unhealthy people have been valued in some societys it's a social thing

  • true

  • can anyone help me? or give me advice?? i think i'm obese, and im a 13 year old girl... idk what to do... help

  • Holy poop-train Batman!! Twenty-nine minutes, Fifty-nine seconds?!?! WHOA!!! I've never seen anything on Youtube pass Ten minutes.

  • hahaha fat fucks

  • qhy do people bitch about being overweight and stop blaming parents its the owns persons fault

  • Because the parents are the ones who buy the food, moron.

  • Ooh! This video was posted on my birthday!

..and whoa.. I'm an obese child.

I really enjoy these videos, they really do encourage people, like myself to get inspired and help lose weight. ^.^ 5/5

  • Lmao! get some exercise

  • how much do u weigh at the age of u.

  • who cares dont worry what other things i dont

  • Obesity is a way of life.

  • stop blaming the parents

my parents let me eat anything I want and do anything I want yet I choose to eat healthy and exercise a lot

I go to the gym and I go running 3 times a week e and I swim, play tennis and basketball and go to school by bike aswell

    It's all about the willpower

I am in such a good shape because my lifelong dream is to be a natural hobby bodybuilder:P

  • thats moderately neato................

  • Yes but did your parents feed you Mac Donald 4 times a week when you were 10 years old? Did they give you pop and bacon for breakfast? A 10 year old doesn't shop for themselves nor do they cook for themselves. Not every kid is or should I say most kids do not have the knowledge that you seem to have about eating and about health. I also blame schools for not teaching kids about nutrition. In the USA its not unusal to see a kid at the age of 10-12 40 or 50 lbs over weight.

  • yes they did feed me with shitty food and I was really fat untill I was the age of 14

now I'm 15 and in the shape of my life

I do understand how hard it is to lose weight but I despise people that don't even try

It's all about willpower and research

  • that's not your willpower, that's your genetics kicking in. for most people its not really that hard to lose weight. until you've stopped natural growth, most teens can lose weight easily. though some just cant. so henrik, dont talk as if youve made some accomplishment.

p.s. i have all right to say this, as i've competed as a teenage bodybuilder and (though it did take hard work losing the final layers) weight loss was piss easy at my age. although, i was training 3 hard hours 6 days a week.

  • THE FUCK IT IS WILLPOWER

it took me 2 fucking years to get it off and it was soooo hard for me not to eat or drink unhealthy food

it was so hard for me to go running in the rain

to not drink coke when everyone else does

so it it a huge acomplishment considering I Was fat for 14 fucking years

and both of my parents are fat and so is my brother

    so its nothing about genetics

and when I had my growth spurt I was still fat so that didn't help at all

  • took you 2 years? you said you were fat at 14, and now you're 15 and in great shape... i think you should spend less time on imagining your diet and inner-strength, and work on your math ability.

  • we all should really accept ppl fat or thin. As long as they are happy. Also being chubby is okay - being obese is bad. Jus accept ppl thro personality - not image.

  • what a messed up society we live in. This world is Hell

  • maybe it's not the world, it's the country, we have the strongest economy in the world, yet, we're probably the unhappiest country in the globe

  • ctba452 we have the strongest economy in the world, yet, we're probably the unhappiest country in the globe this is so true and sad. People need help. This world isnt doing well at all.

  • and we're not the unhappiest just b/c of obesity, there are many other factors that are to be considered, but I'm glad I have a way out of this country

  • i never knew that so many people hated there bodys.

  • you go eston83 (:

  • Check out Quantum Scale

  • As a teacher I am disgusted by the food, particularly the snacks that parents send their kids to school with. There's a significant number of fat kids rolling around as compared to when I was child....disgraceful. The parents are to blame.

  • Parents are indeed a large part of the problem, but not the whole problem. When we were kids, we rode our bikes all the time, played football with friends, and loved to go swimming everyday in the summer, all the while eating hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and such. We stayed thin because WE WERE ACTIVE. Kids today stay indoors so much, on the web, i-pods, video games, texting, and cel-phones. They are NOT ACTIVE. Your right, it IS disgraceful, but lack of activity plays a large role as well.

  • agree.

but the parents are still the one who should stimulate there children to be active. when you see your parents having fun being outside and working out, you are more likely to start doing that too.

but in the end it's up to the kid to decide if it wants to play outside.

  • Your right to a degree. We were active, not because we saw our parents doing so, but because we loved playing outdoors. Parents should encourage their kids to do so. And KHayes666 couldn't have put it better. He hit the nail on the head. Fast food has been around for decades. You didn't see childhood obesity or diabetes back then, why now? It's lack of activity.

  • Though it would partially be parents fault for letting them get on the computer so much, or letting them play video games for so long, etc.

  • Burger King and candy have been around for more than 50 years.....yet why are kids fat today and not back then?

Wake up genius, they don't get any exercise. Its not what they eat its their inability to work it off. Because of online video games and dvd's, kids don't ever have to leave the house to be social, hence lack of exercise.

Its never been the food, its the children themselves not getting exercise.

  • People have more cash to spend. And its way easy to get :O

  • Well, well, well, looks like we got ourselves a loud mouth who thinks he knows it all.

Look buddy boy, the food is part of the lifestyle so yes I'm right and you're wrong.

Now go shoot a deer or do some other vulgarity you're probably used to and leave the commenting to those who have intelligent things to say.

  • The food IS part of the lifestyle however I could go nuts on thanksgiving and not gain a pound because I got exercise.

I will admit its the parents fault for not being more pro-active, but its not McDonalds fault kids don't leave the house.

As for shooting dear...sorry, I don't kill animals, I just eat them ;-)

  • good for you, cowboy.

  • On a steel horse I ride

  • Well said KHayes666. I give you props. I too feel that lack of exercise is the majority of the problem.

  • I'm a teacher too and I agree the other posts. I blame the adults and the school system. Ever since the NCLB and the over empathsis on standardize tests children aren't out playing. Recess and PE are sacrificed just to put five more words into a kids head. Then those kids go home and sit inside all day. They're not exercising. Also there is an increase of school violence along with this. It's a fact people who exercise have more control of their behavior and less stress in their lives.

  • This is the worst interviewer I have ever seen....I didn't even know that humans could be this awkward.

  • ugh...one thing i cant stand is how people constantly say very sexist things about guys...just because i am a guy doesn't mean that i burp and I'm disgusting and that i don't worry about calories...just because I'm a guy doesn't mean i don't worry about what i eat...i diet and exercise and feel exactly as all those girls are but for some reason i MUST be gay if i am sensitive and such...I'm sorry but it its bullshit that because i am a guy I can't be sensitive and straight!

  • Nicely said mate.

    ~Zym

  • It's a stereotype that people place upon each other and themselves everyday. No wonder there are tons of bs pills out there for anxiety and depression. People should stop with the labeling and the assumptions. They should just live. Life is hard as it is without needing to put up with the garbage from ones own species. I think it's bs too. I'm also glad there is a sensible guy here on youtube. I was losing hope for our male species, until you came about. Thank you for your comment. Peace.

  • it's too bad 2 many kids r obese. i feel bad for them they get made fun of and stuff. and they also have to hear about this stuff and probably get even more sad.

  • The rats are jumping ship.

CHEMRISK - a research company hired by the Corn Refiners Association has recently taken down it's YouTube channel.

The removal was in response to negative public perception resulting from the discovery of dangerous levels of MERCURY in HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. Apparently it has become a liability to defend the sweetener.

See one of the last remaining ChemRisk videos at CornRefinersAssoc on YouTube.

  • obesity a medical condition? just stop eating so much and eat regular meals and exercise every day. this video is loooong and pointless

  • i just tryed the beyonce diet not gd !!! neva try it in less u have no sence of smell or taste !!!

  • The first part of this video was boring to me, but the second part (which starts at 11:26) about "body image" was very good...but also very sad. It so sad that all these young girls worry so much about their weight and dislike their own bodies and suffer so much. It is a tragedy.

  • i dont understand food programmes and shit. just lose weight the old fashion way.

  • i hve a friend whos obese. hes only 15. he isnt happy with his weight but is hell of a laugh.

i know its alright 2 be chubby. thts not bad. being fat or obese is bad. very bad.

  • 29:57 > 10 minutes OH SHI- WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN

  • Does anyone else find it extremely annoying that Dr. Styne has a continual semi-smile throughout the interview? I mean it eve persists while he's talking. I find it very annoying.

  • One thing I forgot to say. I have hypothyroidism which is a cause for a slow metabolism. Yet I am slim. I am a runner and eat right. It is tough especially for me, but 100% worth it.

  • dickrunner is right. anyone can do it if they try. problem is that people don't want to try. working out and eating right takes effort. i know its hard too! but i've never been overweight.

  • we have to many idots in our country and a lot of them like to post comments on youtube I see.....our country is doomed

  • I too was overweight in middle school, but when I got to high school, I decided enough was enough and started working out. I lost about 20 pounds, and was much happier with myself.

  • here ill make a Non negative comment. I am a young teen who has fought back from child hood obesity in elementary school i was always overweight and ate junk food. I have turned my life around in Middle school i exercise regularly and have become stronger than many others my age. I lost about 20 lbs just because i tried. Anyone can do it if they try

  • (continued from prior post) I suggest that we include, in our academic standards for promoting a student to the next grade, and as a standard for graduation from middle/high school, weight standards. Hence, just as we use grades and standardized testing (in some states) to determine whether a child moves on from the 6th grade to 7th grade, so we need to start incorporating weight standards as part of the criteria as well. That means if Johnny is 50 lbs overweight, he doesn't pass or graduate.

  • this is the most stupid suggestion for school that I have ever heard....you clearly did not listen to this video and are uneducted

  • Hildir, please, if you think I am so undereducated (that is the correct way to spell the word, by the way) enlighten me. What is so fallacious about my argument? It may hurt the politically correct sensibilities of a lot of people, but making someone's academic success contingent on standards generally compels them to rise to the challenge more readily than this laid back approach of coddling them, without expecting results.

  • It's ludacious. That means anorexics and bulimics can pass the class because they're thin even though they lack qualified skills to operate successfully in the world. Also what does weight have to do with academic abilities? Kids have enough stress with standardize exams, now they have to worry about weight too? Little Jonny will end up starving himself just to go to the 3rd grade. It's not about PC you're not seeing the bigger picture with that comment. The consequences it may have at the end.

  • Whenever the weight debate comes up, without fail, someone interjects the potential for anorexia/bulimia. This is a red herring. Anorexia/bulimia is not as pervasive as people think. By using fitness standards (strength and endurance measurements in relation to body weight) along with body weight, we can prevent kids who starve/vomit to get down to the proper weight from succeeding because anorexics/bulimics cannot physical perform to the standards necessary to pass (continued).

  • (continued from previous response)Now, does weight have anything to do with academic ability? No. However, a healthy weight is just as crucial to a child's future well being and future productivity. Education shouldn't be so myopic, as to only consider just ones ability in academic subjects as the only thing of value. Fitness is just as important when dealing with life or death, and is therefore more important to the childs future, and by extension the future of this country (continued).

  • (continued from previous response) Education should be about cultivating a well-rounded individual, and physical fitness is part of being a well-rounded individual. A population of healthy intelligent people is far more productive than a population of unhealthy intelligent people. I fear that the growing weight of our youth is a far greater threat to our national welfare than terrorism, climate change, or financial irresponsibility. Why not make the educational system part of the solution?

  • what the hell is uneducted?

  • The obesity epidemic among children is so out of hand, that I would say of all issues that threaten the future of this nation, the rapidly growing obesity problem of our youth will be the one culprit that, more than any other problem, will likely break this country in the future more so than terrorism, the deficit, global warming, or the machinations of foreign governments. The problem is so extreme, that I would propose a radical solution. (see in next post)

  • The most urgent problem in this country and any other is the exponential birth rate. Maybe thats why people are getting less healthy. Maybe the Earth needs less of us to survive. Not that I want to see people die, but a long life for everyone would not be in anyones best interest.

  • Amen! Overpopulation is serious all over the world (except maybe Japan).

    Excellent point.

  • Is every comment negative? Childhood obesity is a huge problem...literally. If we don't stop it now, it's pretty much going to be the end of our future generations.

  • what the fuck man?

  • wow =/ i cant believe how true the middle of this video is....i dieted when i was in middle school , and i was also anorexic when i was 16.
