Oh this song, I may just be having an emotional day, but the line 'she's lonely, lost she's disconnected, she finds no comfort in her surroundings' really describe where I am in my life right now and how I go 'from situation to situation like a ghost' .
Stevie's like a best friend to me, in the way that she always knows the right thing to say/ sing to me and it feels like she's saying these things directly to me.
Anyway, after that emotional out pouring, thanks for uploading ! :)
Stevie's personality and singing has become so dramatic over the years. Waddy just looks at her and smiles. Stevie's hair extensions are so thick too. She has an excellent hair stylist! I honestly believe she has some new facial thing to have her skin so smooth and wrinkle free. I have to laugh when she's in her "crouching" position. It reminds me of a "jockey" riding to the finish line. hehehe.
@satelliteolove Yeah, I agree after reading your comment. Stevie has so many variations in what she says, you just never really know where the real "truth" lies, do you?
love the "crouching" comments! right there with you both! reminds of the "hbo" show. both nights should get the deluxe treatment. this night is so rare in that she played so many songs off the new cd!
"Lady From The Mountains" has been a fan/collectors' favorite for 20 years. To hear it in full studio production, even as a hybrid song, is wonderful. Stevie has always borrowed her own lyrics from her own songs to create new pieces over the years. "Moonlight" is a brilliant example of that technique. "Lady from the Mountains" was always a ballad in it's many demo versions. Now it is a rock and roll song. You go Stevie. NEVER stop reinventing yourself. See you in four weeks, 2nd row at RED ROCKS
I think people see the title "Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream)" and assume it's "Twilight" inspired. It's not the only vampire movie. I'd hope she wouldn't write a song for sparkling albino vampires. Both verses were written in the 70's.
I got my tickets yesterday and can't wait to see her and all these beautful new songs like this one,7th row center stage in boston. thank you stevie priceless!!!
I was astounded and mesmerized by Stevie's crouching and I noticed Waddy's huge smile when Stevie hit that final note the first time I watched this. Since then I've watched this repeatedly. This is the most "professional", authentic looking "bootleg" recording of a live Stevie performance I've ever seen. It reminds me of the old film recording of Rhiannon that aired on the Midnight Special. It's grainy and raw but with digital clarity. Just beautiful videography. Bravo ed7, whoever you are!
@ 4:41, Stevie begins to do something she's been doing since the 70s ~ she crouches down in such a hauntingly, sexy fashion. Sounds "strange", but an amazing little tidbit I'm sure all the hardcore fans noticed. Hands down, the most mesmerizing song on the new masterpiece that is her album. I was definitely here in spirit that night. Since I couldn't be in LA that night, I played the entire "In Your Dreams" record for my coworkers that night in honor of Stevie's 63rd birthday. Rock on!
@ddemelio I noticed the same thing about the "crouching." She did a lot of it that night in a true return to her best form. It was an amazing concert. I wish you could have been there. Thank you for your comments. You're my kind of fan!
@ed7hanke@ddemelio...... Ya,thats what im talking about DD!..I have seen Stevie 55 times live and have 300 RARE mac/nicks cds and vids..I prefer the ROCKIN backing up with the mic ,Twirling the Skirt ,etc...as apposed to the AIR GUITAR and MIMEing the words...Shes a ROCKER..Finally durring this show ..SHE ROCKED!!
@ddemelio I remember those moves, and I always wish they had gotten more of her routine on film in her early Rhiannon days. I was so drawn to her style that I swore one day I would own clothes like that, now it's the fashion of today, hobo, 80's inspired teired dresses are back, and the 30s Bonnie Parker like clothes she wears walking down the street in the video Gypsy, to her legwarmers, and black on black , I loved it all. SHE is truely the queen.
This is a really, really special performance. The first time performing it live AND on her birthday. The end is hypnotic. Waddy smiles as she wails in full voice at the end! This is an important performance to have captured! Thanks so much!
for reals she looks incredible!!!!!!

Love this song <3 and the whole album. Got to see Stevie live for the first time and flipped.
Good quality video, also.
But I would like to point out for an interesting fact:
This is a touched up Lady From The Mountain, which has been around since 1971 I believe.
