I remember this night vividly..I was 5 years old. We lived 2 houses down from the police station, which consequently ended up in our backyard.

I was there that night as a member of the Rome Civil Defense/Auxillary Police. We were guarding what was left of the police station. It was defininitely a scary night for all Boonvillians.
