What program do you use to record in 1080i...im using media express and i cant get a signal nor audio on hdmi but on 720 i get video but still no audio on my hdmi. And i cant get 1080i on component either.
Oh wow this is beautiful. I was thinking of asking for the intensity for my brithday to hook up and record games. I definitely think I will get it now.
What are the specs on your PC how much ram do you have and what kind of CPU?
I'm wondering if when you go through the BMIP does it output back to 1080p because I noticed on the website it says it can only capture up to 1080i which isn't an issue as long as I can still play games in 1080p while capturing. Please help.
ok got my card working can record 720p but struggling with 1080 im using 2 raid 0 1tb drives after checking black magic speed test my drives transfer rate is olny 88mbps this is the problem shouldnt it be 120x or close on it doesnt seem to have sped up the drives by raid 0 em any feedback would be appreciated ta
If you have your OS, programs, or anything else on the RAID drives this can lead to a slowing down of the write/read speeds. In addition to doing any other activity while capturing.
You may want to consider adding additional drives for a x3 or x4 RAID setup in order to boost the read/write speeds of the RAID. If you are capturing uncompressed video at 1080 then, perhaps you should consider capturing compressed using the included MJPEG codec.
Alright man I have some questions. This capture card is still wanting me to buy stuff. I need a pci graphics card. Is there any good ones? I've done everything, gone everywhere. And I still can't get any kind of capture card to get quality like this without spending, spending, spending. I don't know where else to go.
nice video i have this card set up my new pc running i7 windows 7 set up inputs and outputs hdmi downloaded latest drivers cant get any video output from x box any ideas anyone please
Make sure you have read the manual and have set up your console's resolution and the card's settings in the "Control Panel" to the SAME resolution/settings.
I have the blackmagic intensity pro and did recording straight from Adobe Premiere Pro CS4...uncompressed. Does it take alot of memory? Yes, but I have a 2 TB Raid 0 setup. Only compress once. You can screw it up by picking that MJEG crap then compressing again just to get it on youtube.
ok to all cod lovers you are all playing add on packs suckers. yes thats right you been punked by activision. this is original the game as been smashed open for pc users.you are all gutted cause you paid 30 dabs for a nuke
The frame rate is messed up on this video. Looks to me like your computer cant capture 1920x1080 without struggling. Or you screwed it up when encoding.
waste of money i have a xbox360 hooked up to hdmi Kordz® IMMORTAL wire Pro-fit B.O.S.S. terminated connectors also have a 65inch 5.000.000 to 1 contrast ratio 750hz with 1920 x 1080p - 68.7 Billion Colors (12-bit) - Surround - HDTV takes any setup out this setup is trash mine wins
Pretty sure this video is about the recording of Xbox 360 "HD" game footage with a specific capture card.
I don't see any mention of a capture card / device in your comment, NOR do I see anyone else mentioning their home theater setup.
It seems you are in a pissing contest by yourself over a basic diagram shown in the beginning of the video. You might want to realize that is for illustration purposes and taken right out of the manual.
I don't know what games YOU have been playing because this looks greater than most, including Modern Warfare 2. Plus, add on to the fact that there's alot more going on, the game would have an excuse to have bad graphics, which it doesn't.
Really? You really think Halo 3 has better graphics? You should get those eyes checked. You should also realize that this game features much bigger maps than Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 2, able to hold 24-32 player matches instead of a puny 16-18, and then also add on destructible buildings.
On-topic, it doesn't matter what he recorded, he's showing that it's capable of recording HD footage. The only thing he should've done is record some actual gameplay and not a minute of walking.
So that doesn't matter, the actual gameplay of it is good, so what it has what 5 or 6 more players, that doesn't make it better. What, you can blow up apart of a wall, that does not matter at all. The actual gameplay is not that good.
I think you'll find that both of those factors DO matter, being blow up a wall for easier access to a building or to kill an enemy behind cover can make a huge difference in a game, and so can player numbers. The pace of a 24 with 12 vs 12 is vastly different from 9 vs 9, even if the number increase seems small, and then there are 16 vs 16 matches (but that's on the PC version).
You're probably a Modern Warfare 2 player who wants twitch gameplay instead of huge awesome battles.
I highly doubt Blackmagic is "paying for exposure of their product" in this video.
It's pretty hard for someone to post a TEST, review, overview, of a product without specifically stating what the product is, and in this case it's a capture card.
Would you rather they posted,
"here's a test of a capture card and a little review, but we won't tell you what it is or where you can get it."
Cool video test. Can u get 1080p tho? if not then i'm holding out. Also do u use Vegas to make your videos if not what program do u make your videos with.
The latest "BM Intensity" drivers/software support 1080p 23.976, 24, 25 FPS, but the Xbox 360 does NOT output at those framerates.
You can easily deinterlace the 1080i footage, but it's really irrelavent for Xbox 360 video capturing to post on Youtube.
In addition, you can always record at 720p, which looks just as good. You'll have smaller filesizes to begin with, to speed up encoding locally and for uploading to Youtube.
What program do you use to record in 1080i...im using media express and i cant get a signal nor audio on hdmi but on 720 i get video but still no audio on my hdmi. And i cant get 1080i on component either.

@Ikeagames
The Intensity Pro can output the inputting signal via HDMI or through an analog connection using the breakout cable.
