  • If this thing is like a sauropod, there can always be a big predator that can hunt in packs that can take it down...a giant bipedal theropod-like crocodile that is like 40-45 feet long.

  • @fgt73 whats a "snaiad"?

  • I whould've used my charizard to defeat it,

  • Which Future discovery creatures do you think is the best? Snaiad? Darwin IV? Or this one?

  • die toraton wiegt fast soviel wie eine scheisse, die einst plumpste aus meinem arsch.

  • how would tortoises b an un-thinkable ancestor?

  • OH TORTOISES

  • wow...I LIKE TURTLES!!

  • @RaptorQueen They don't evolve from turtles, it's tortoises

  • @GeorgeDaPunk ah.

  • what network does this show come on??????????

  • @hahayouknowme33 its not on anymore, but it was on Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.

  • Except I doubt they have looked at the possibility of predators. The tortoise today does indeed have a few predators and sorry, but it still will during the next several million years and 100 million years. Especially as it looks that 'Toraton' can't retract it's head nor limbs, when the tortoise has evolved to not be able to, I have a feeling it's amount of predators will suddenly bump up, most likely resulting in extinction. Whilst the nowadays tortoise will change somewhat, but very little.

  • This + The show needed something impressive and flashy ;-DDD

  • What their saying is not fact but a prediction. They have made their hypothsis on how animals have evolved from the past and see what predicted natural events can happen over time, which can give an outcome of what will happen to a certain animal.

  • Aren't you fucking ignoramus.

  • Wow, that's a fucking genius comeback of shakespearian proportions.

  • @tonymuyo

    ignoramus?

    what

  • @beermang2 'Cause being a scientist isn't a real job?

  • But at NO POINT do they say why TORTOISES got that large. I mean, seriously, they haven't changed a bit in several hundred million years, why would they change in the coming 100 million ?

  • They would change from them trying to adapt to diffrent conditions and it doesnt happen automatically, it may get bigget overtime. Like i said in my other comment this is just a prediction.

  • how could it support that neck with no tail?

Anyway, I accidently pressed the right arrow key at 1:09 so it sounded like "Or else it wouldnt have the strenth to sh*t"

  • maybe its heavy shell puts the center of gravity in the middle

  • Watch out for the swampus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How can it even lift up its' neck without an equally large tail to balance it?

  • it is said in the video it neck looks thick but is mostly folded skin also you dont need a long tail to balance a neck. look at a modern day tortoise or a giraffe. and its body is probably heavy enough to balance its neck

  • ¡¡¡Fuck!!!

Why withdrew all the episodes in Spanish?

  • hahahahahaha

  • i can tell your intelligence just by your name... can't spell "the"?

  • Who cares about spelling here?!

  • well I guess if you can't spell you wouldnt but it just shows how stupid our society is growing

  • --_--

  • The fully evolved tortoise.
