these are not hook kicks, they are crescent kicks. He has descent form for a crescent but i'm not sure if this guy can actually perform a proper hook kick because it is much more difficult. kyryllo has the best tutorial for hook kicks that i have found on youtube for anyone who is looking for a good one.

These are not hook kicks. He is demonstrating inside to outside axe kick and outside to inside axe kick. Hook kick is much different.

@7gloves Hook kick you hit with the heel, in crescent you hit with the side of the foot. Atleast thats how i am thought. Heel is more effective.

Well, I practice a Southern Chinese martial art which incorporates this kick (however we call it an inside crescent, the opposite being an outside crescent) as well as a completely separate kick we call a hook kick involving throwing a high side kick off to the side of the opponents head (a usual side kick in my style being aimed at the floating ribs), then snapping our leg back, smashing the heel of our foot into the side of their head, however I personally believe the kick's name is relative.
