So the puzzling questions are, why haven't any American news media picked up this story (or have they?), are these men still alive in the few months since this video was posted, is the US doing anything about their initial commitment to the men that they would be protected, and - it has to be asked - how much more are the men being endangered by putting their faces on video and then posting it on YouTube?

This actually isn't a very clear profile story - it doesn't explain why these men feel let down, and most importantly, it doesn't explain what danger they are in in their own countries because they collaborated with Americans. Only if you happen to watch Beth's piece elsewhere on YouTube do you learn that these men will likely be killed.

hmm, interesting... Kind of reminds me of the thousands of U.S. soldiers we have over in Iraq already. You know, they speak other languages too... But, I guess they weren't rich enough to travel all over the world when they were kids.

So instead they have to lay down fire power to provide cover and help provide aid to the Iraqi civilians as well. Oh well, I guess the U.S. Soldiers will be overlooked again on the positive things they do. Won't be the first time.

you do know that 1/3 of the Army is made of civilians and contractors right? I was deployed and doing the same as the soldiers over there, then i got back and no one greeted me when I arrived back to the states, and honestly, I don't care, I did my part and served my counrty and will continue. And no the troops are not being overlooked.

Gee wiz, since were touching on money how much does a the common soldier make, and how much more to they get for hazard duty? I read the military pay scale. The e-2 get $2,000 a mo.& sargent's get around $3-4,000 a mo. here at home.

well if you were 'deployed' of course you would be doing the same thing as soldiers if you are in the reserves (well some of the things). And yes they are being overlooked when they come home. Plenty of them cant get jobs, and only a few corporations actually start hiring soldiers so they can kick off the lawsuit. But with that said, I do respect your service to our country. I am sorry no one greeted you when you came back.
