mmmm Mexican food is THE BEST in the world, so much variety of dishes throughout the country! and really I dare say that you haven't tasted mexican food unless you did it in mexico. Spain is not all Americans mexico you believe so, but it is not. Spanish food is considered the best in the world. that are only specific dishes. but there is an incredible variety of desserts, fruits, vegetables, meat, tubers, mushrooms etc. porcierto .. Spanish food in the U.S.. is of very poor quality.

in Spain the flavors mingle a lot. in mexico everything is very spicy and spice and sauce. in Spain no .. everything is more measured

Literally "Pitayas" come from cactus. Those cactus that have real long & high arms. The fruit it's at the very tip of the arm. Almost like "tunas", but not from the nopal, rather from el pitayo, with a very sweet flavor & lots of seeds.

I miss my Mom's food. I miss the taquitos that are sold at markets, & vendor places, nothing like that. It is not the same taste as at the restaurants here in the US. To taste real authentic Mexican food, you have to be there. I wish I could take some white people I know, to Mexico & show them around, & take them to places I used to enjoy when I was there.
