Thank for the video. I see now what you are talking about and I had this dilemma initially. Now, I know the human factor is not there when a midi file or a written score is involved which reminds me of some words that my professor used to say, one can not fully transfer sound on paper. Initially thought to explain this grouping as you did I just felt that I did not want to hear that second last sixteenth accented so

  • I picked this group as a quintuplet (down, up down, up, down) and accented only the first note.

Thank you for your responses, if you are in the Toronto area, drop by the school.

  • Hello,

I am aware that there are a variety of ways that the song can be performed in (this is true with all songs). I was just giving a couple of examples of how a quintuplet trill can be used in certain songs.

I however, would like to hear your version of the song. If you want and it is not too much, trouble see if you can upload it. I am interested to hear it.

Hope to hear from you soon.

  • Hello,

I think that you might have misunderstood me. The examples that I gave in the video have quintuplet trills in them. They are not completely composed of quintuplets. If you check out the first example, (high mou), it starts with the quintuplet trill. If you have any questions or more comments and would like to discuss this in further detail, you can also call me at the front desk.
