LOL Earl's face after Johnny puts him in his place. Earl did deserve it though, you shouldn't talk while someone is shooting. He should've said something in between racks. Johnny does slow play alot. I feel that slow playing someone can be a form of sharking. Only because it can get them out of stroke or out of line.

Archer and other slow players are the reason a "Shot Clock" is now being used in events. (Although not used in this event) A player of Archer's caliber should know within 1 minute how to play ANY shot on the table, if he doesn't then earl is right, just shoot it, maybe something good will happen. Earl is also wrong to be talking when opponent is shooting. Both slow play and talking are poor sportsmanship. Does remind one of the scene in "The Hustler" doesn't it.

Who cares if it takes him a long time to shoot? He's thinking and pool is a thinking game - especially 8 ball. How are you going to tell someone to hurry up when you're both playing a challenge match for money, a cruise, and prestige?

I agree! People think that he's deciding what ball to shoot when in reality he's planning out the entire rack. Naturally his game will speed up as he gets in stroke and will start to see patterns quicker as he continues to play. Some people just haven't a clue lol

I dont mind when my opponent takes a long time between shots because it gives me more time to think about what i am gonna do when i get a shot. Since there was no set time limit (ie 30 sec shot clock) then Mr Strickland should not talk out of turn. Archer can take as long as he wants. Poor sportsmanship on Stricklands part

What kind of cue do you think Cuetec gave him, to use in his matches? It wasn't off the shelf, suffice it to say. Probably the best thing they could put together, easily as good as any other custom cue.
