This was a great fight. Cotto shouldn't have fought so low, he left himself open to the uppercuts and he wore himself out with the early dancin' and didn't keep the fight in the center of the ring. Great fight. but dont blame it one a broken nose. Cotto was gased against an older shane mosely. He boxed fantastic the first half of the fight but showed that he work rate slows in the last 3 rounds and the fact is that simply wont fly against margarito. Antonio is just to busy and throws way to many punches. The only reason why Cotto lost that fight was because Margarito broke his nose. Once Cotto's nose was broken he was having a hard time breathing and because of that he slowed down and wasn't able to stick and move as much as he was doing is the earlier rounds. If Cotto's nose hadn't been broken he would of won that fight, but the fact is that Margarito won. Fair and square. Margarito has an incredible chin, and a hell of an uppercut! Great Fight!!

doesnt matter about muscle mass on someones body. punching power isnt developed by having a muscular physique punching power is comes from your hips and legs not just your arms, and you develop power by training on the heavy bags. and traditionally not only hispanic fighters worry about strong conditioning almost all fighters do. doesnt matter how strong you are if u cant last ur gunna get knocked out

i wonder why i never seen a pro HISPANIC boxer with a really amazing muscular lookin body. they are very well conditioned, but there bodies are just ordinary lookin. ive seen lots of BLACK & WHITE boxers with some amazing superior muscular lookin bodies, but HISPANIC boxer's muscle mass barely grows, i woner why?

I know you are saying Margarito is not good. I just wanted verification. Mayweather always brags about how much money he has, how he burns it and throws it around because he has so much. Kind of hard to say you won't fight then because you are not getting paid enough. I am pretty sure he could swallow his "pride" if he has any, and take a measly 8 million to prove he is the best. Never...I respect Margarito but I don't consider myself a fan. I was rooting for Cotto in this fight...speaking of which TKO'd Corley in the 5th. You carry on like he lost the fight. I have my favorites but..unlike you...I want to see them face the best. jasonjmj...I don't think Floyd ducked Oscar...he wanted to get out before the Cotto/Margarito fight. The public would have demanded he fight the winner. Floyd would have lucked really silly retiring after a meaningless De La Hoya fight. Even Mayweather's biggest supporters (eg Kellerman) aren't buying the "nothing left to prove" line. Mayweather should stay retired...hopefully Oscar joins him.

Never...I'm sure you realize 3 of Margarito's losses occurred when he was 16-18 years old....I'm sure you also watched and scored the Santos fight which got stopped in the 10th due to a clash of heads. You wouldn't simply assess a fighter's worth by the number under the L column.

This was a great fight. Cotto shouldn't have fought so low, he left himself open to the uppercuts and he wore himself out with the early dancin' and didn't keep the fight in the center of the ring. Hats off to Margarito. He let Cotto gas himself out then in the 6th took over with uppercuts, he said so himself in the post interview. Tough loss for Ricans. Like always tho, we'll be back my Mexican brothas.

Great fight. but dont blame it one a broken nose. Cotto was gased against an older shane mosely. He boxed fantastic the first half of the fight but showed that he work rate slows in the last 3 rounds and the fact is that simply wont fly against margarito. Antonio is just to busy and throws way to many punches. Cotto's problem wasn't the "borken nose" it was the fact he didnt keep the fight in the middle of the ring, was cornered way to much and forced to exchange. Margarito borke cottos will.

The only reason why Cotto lost that fight was because Margarito broke his nose. Once Cotto's nose was broken he was having a hard time breathing and because of that he slowed down and wasn't able to stick and move as much as he was doing is the earlier rounds. If Cotto's nose hadn't been broken he would of won that fight, but the fact is that Margarito won. Fair and square. Margarito has an incredible chin, and a hell of an uppercut! Great Fight!!
