  • This is awful. In a way that is brilliant.

  • Is appears the only word he can read is numberwang.

  • @slobclothing yeah, I was just thinking that. How can he read the card if he can't read? lol

  • So much green..

  • This is how popular American "reality" shows are created.

  • I went to Oxford, what I meant to say is that I didn't go to Oxford.

    ...I did.

  • BBC3

  • wow i love david mitchell

  • haha i can so imagine a bbc 3 executive acting like this

  • 2:08 he said he cant read

  • Best impression of a coke head I've ever seen.

  • This is basically how TV really works.

  • I love the bit where he goes, "Here's some money!" and throws money at them. It kills me for some reason.

  • ...but basically like skins!

  • My favourite show (looks at card) That Mitchell and Webb look!

  • I think people that like this video are brilliant in a way that they're horrible.

  • Media Management. Cunts.

  • "See that ethnic one, he'll be the head of news one day if we let him which we wont"

  • I... I am indeed Belgian

  • I don't know how to pretend either..... great story I'm not interested!

  • I thought Betram Russell invented numberwang :3

  • Anyone who's ever tried to pitch a media product would totally be able to relate with this skit. Cocaine's a hell of a drug.

  • Meanwhile, at Channel 5..

  • 2 people haven't touched a hot girls boob once

  • 2 people haven't touched a hot girl's boob once

  • i love this show, sketches like these are so true, obviously exaggerated, but this is pretty much how TV producers act these days.

  • My god, Channel 4 *is* slightly more yoofully PC than the BBC.

  • I think i may have pissed myself and cum at the same time!

  • which is BRILLIANT

in a way that is AWFUL

  • "I'm not going to pretend to understand the creative process, because I don't understand the creative process, and because I don't know how to pretend."

    I love this line!

  • Channel 4 anyone?

  • and a little bit of Oxford bashing from the Cantabrian. Love it XD

  • Lord Sugar :)

  • HEY GINGER MO FO

  • does anyone else rekon this might have been bases on mitchell and webb's real experience of tv executives?

  • If he can't read, how did he read Numberwang off the card?

  • @AlexThomson1000 I like to think it's in rebus. ;)

  • If he doesn't know how to read...how is he reading the Numberwang card?

  • outstanding david

  • this is a picture of a hot woman who let me touch her boob once!! YES!!!

  • This is such a great sketch, and what makes it even more impressive is that David Mitchell managed to do the whole thing in one take!

(I found out on the commentary for the dvd, Mitchell said so himself)

    Epic! :D

  • @CheeseDemon - He also looks extremely hot. :)

  • Look it's channel 4. TROLOLOLOL!

  • Ah, taking the piss out of Oxford, great stuff.

  • I love how he looks at the card every time he says 'numberwang'.

  • Hahaha! This is one of my favorite sketches of TMWL! How can he speak so fast?

  • Fascinating glimpse behind the scenes at how real television producers operate.

  • imagine pissing yourself and jizzing at the same time xD

  • How does he read the title off the card if he can't read?

  • @MajikkaniHand But he can read because he didn't go to Oxford ;)

  • @MajikkaniHand don't be a prick hahaha

  • @MemroMusic Aw, but I LOVE being a prick. It's a geek tradition! ^^

  • Should I have left my last comment, or was that in bad taste?

  • This is so funny I think I may have pissed myself and cum at the same time.

  • So this is how they saw the BBC bosses.

  • I don't like to use that word Alison because I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Genius!

  • Oh god yes! Media people ARE actuallu exactly like that O_O

  • Lol "My Team: Disabled Ethnic, Teenage Pooftah and Woman!"

  • I love Skins. Though a Skins-ish version of the Wangernumb round might get scary.

  • and to this day... no new epsidoes of Numberwang ):

  • The sort of people that watched Numberwang were old, weird, had a hat, smelled and were Belgian.

    Well, thanks a lot.

  • @MebefromBelgium It's indeed not very flattering for us, isn't it? ;)

  • reminds me a little of jeremy clarkson

  • This is what they did for the 2005 revival of Doctor Who.

  • does any other irish person watching this think that david mitchell looks alot like gerry ryan in this sketch?

  • what makes this sketch even more impressive is that David Mitchel managed to say all that in one take. :D

  • "I think I may have just pissed myself and cum at the same time..." - they are two of the most epic people on earth.

  • This is exactly how they develop shows in America.

  • This Mitchell and Webb sketch alone is funnier than an entire episode of Little Britian, seriously how do people laugh at the same old catchphrases like "Computer says no" or "Yeah I know" again and again with only a slight difference such as location, costume, silly wig, etc?

  • @ModernDayMinority13 I agree completely, by which I mean I hate you. You are absolutely right. I have no idea what you're saying because I don't understand English. Do you want to post more comments like this? Good! Here's ten million dollars. Buy a sheep farm and snort sausage links for breakfast.

  • @ModernDayMinority13 I think the thing is that is was funny until it became popular. With catchphrases that everybody could imitate (and by imitate I mean repeat in an unconvincing accent and so far out of context that quote had maxed out it frequent flyer miles) people would repeat them over and over. It's like being poked with barbed wire that's on fire; stimulating at first, but eventually its going to get old.

  • @ModernDayMinority13 Tastes vary.

  • @ModernDayMinority13 I don't know... Silly wigs. Those are funny.

  • @ModernDayMinority13 I "Liked" your comment, but I must also add: "Are you 'avin' a laff'?

  • @ModernDayMinority13 268 thumbs up from people that can only enjoy one type of humour at a time.

  • brilliant in every way!

  • My favourite ever Mitchell and Webb scatch

  • it's like Lord Flashheart ran Numberwang...

  • @Callithyia

I HAVE AN IDEA! AND IT'S AS HOT AS MY PANTS!

  • @Callithyia WOOOOOF!

  • wow...

  • disabled ethnic, tennage poofter and woman! LOL
