Someone at CBS made a stupid decision in picking Jennifer Hudson to do a new version. But beyond that, being one of those b-ball fraks who watched as many games as possible, I think there were a lot of clips of players actually MAKING PLAYS instead of spending so much time on clips of Hudson singing or players opunding their chests.

What no one is mentioning in any blogs about this year's 2010 One Shining Moment.. is the following: the remake the song by Hudson was poor, but what was entirely worse >>> the clips/montage overall sucked!! Go back & watch it & count the# of mere face shots, emotions, jerseys, etc in montage vs. actual b-ball playing moments or actions on the court. Ridiculous! Sure, it's fine to get cool expressions & capture emotions, but sheesh, u MUST have the hi-lites we crave 2 C again 1st & foremost!

So this is the guy who was in charge of the weak last couple years of OSM? Yesterday I felt bad this was the first year since like '89 I didn't tape OSM, but by the time I went to bed, I was just relieved. I will be very disappointed if CBS has the tournament next year and OSM isn't markedly improved to be like the classic early versions (see 91's and 92's)

Okay bravo, you watched all the clips and cropped them, but every producer has to do the same thing. Yes, Jennifer Hudson has a good voice, but it should be kept original with Luther, and its about the players, not the artist, so don't show her or whoever else does the singing again PLEASE.
