  • So Taiwan.

  • @wgh999 Its chinese O_O

  • @Jgewelz Yes, mandarin, but I know very well these are aboriginal Taiwan tribal people and the song is itself made in Taiwan :)

  • @wgh999 The song was not made in Taiwan. Kangding Qingge was written in Sichuan province in the 1940's a long time ago.

  • @Ooilei wish I could say that to Taiwanese without getting flamed

  • @wgh999 Why it's the truth? This song is from Sichuan. Kangding is in Sichuan. I see no reason why Taiwanese people would have a problem with that. It's just a fact and history.

  • @Ooilei You try telling some Taiwanese that they are part of Chinese civilization ;)

  • @wgh999 All Taiwanese accept that they are Chinese and are a part of Chinese civilization. Taiwanese people love being Chinese and Chinese culture. What they don't like is Communist Mainland China and the PRC government.

  • @Ooilei Good to know! Hope you are one of these Taiwanese people :]

  • Timi's songs are classic for ever in China!

    We all love Timi!

  • good...............

  • Isn't the original song a Tibetan song? Why is it performed as a dance that belongs to another minority? Taiwanese shan di ren?

  • you got a point there, I was wondering why too... lol. I guess we have to think it just for performance sake?

  • Our teacher mentioned something about Tibet when we did this song, so i think so.

  • normalie: A Han Chinese music student visited the town of Kangding, then the capital of Xikang province (today's western Sichuan), in the 1940s to entertain a group of local Tibetan soldiers who were shipping out with the Kuomintang Army to fight Japanese in Burma. He composed this song based on local Tibetan music. Today, this song is the most popular love song in China.
