So, how did Sean Connery get into playing "Never Say Never"? (no gun barrell btw). I like how the Brosnan ones had that reflection effect, last one with the bullet traveling down the barrell.

What's interesting is that there are 22 films but the actual gunbarrel sequence was only filmed 9 times.

1: Bob for DN re-used for FRWL & GF.

2: Sean for TB then re-used for YOLT & DAF.

3: George for OHMSS

4: Roger for LALD then re-used for TMWTGG

5: Roger again for TSWLM then re-used for MR, FYEO, OP and AVTAK

6: Timothy for TLD re-used for LTK

7: Pierce for GE and re-used for TND, TWINE & DAD

8: Daniel for CR

I seriously didn't hate on brosnan. Im a 90's kid so when I think of James Bond i think of Brosnan. Goldeneye was great, the only bad JB movie that Brosnan was in was Die Another Day. Roger Moore was fucking horrible though, like goddamn atrocious.

I think the World Is Not Enough definitely had the music on it's side. I remember sitting in the theater for Die Another Day and no one was expecting the bullet to come down the barrel. Cool effect. My favorite is Casino Royale just because the blood looks pretty good.

its really a shame that the Craig movies didn't keep a separate gunbarrel. Brosnan's were the best. I always liked the circle expand from the corner instead of the center. In my opinion, Brosnan needs to come back, Craig is ruining the Bond traditions.

Most Bonds have the same sequence, before computer graphics it was a tedious animation process and they'd save time & money by recycling....

I love that Quantum was at the end. It made it different, just like how Casino was different. All the Daniel Craig Bonds should be different in some way or another seeing as how different the movie styles are in general.

the reason the gunbarrel is not at the begining of casino royale is becase bond isnt "00" at that point. however he is at the end of the opening scene so he gets a gunbarrel.

it isnt at the beginning of quantum of solace because MK12 are twats

@oldtex1959 No, they didn't. The Casino Royal gunbarrel was the first kill Bond ever had. All of the rest were when he WAS OO7. Fisher was his first kill on the road to becoming OO7. If they did the original, that wouldn't make sense. Casino Royal was his first adventure , even if it was his latest film, remember?

Very nice vid. Connery is still the best, for me. The way he sweeps his arm out as he turns into the pose is just so classic, it looks great and defines the character, ironically like his performance did.

Daniel Craig's gunbarrel was inventively inserted into that scene, and the Die Another Die one with the bullet is horrendous. Moore looked stiff in general and Dalton and Brosnan were both excellent. I like the glossiness of the barrel in the Brosnan Bond.

I think Roger Moore only shot 2 gun barrel sequences:

1. (a good one) For Live and Let Die, and The Man with the Golden Gun

2. (unusually slow) The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, View to a Kill

They should have stuck to the first, which is pretty good.

The best are still first ones, with the stuntman then the real Sean Connery

Nice. YouTube is littered with 'Custom Gunbarrel Remixes' and whatnot that it's hard to find the actual videos, so this was a nice find. My favourites are usually the ones that stand out from the crowd: Dr No, OHMSS, FYEO, LTK, TND (a notable exception to this rule) and of course, the diabolically awesome one from Casino Royale.
