  • Not a Devils fan, but they should bring back their old goal horn.

  • YEAH zombie nation :)) kick ass

  • i went there for 2 night games and i was fine and so was everyone else.

  • sold out every playoff game we have great fan support so fuck off whoever says we dont. i was at game 2 sold out loud as fuck all devil fans fuck what you see on tv most of the fans in the lower bowl dont get to their seats till mid second period duer to amazing bars and features unlike the shitty arena across the water

  • The thing I love about the Devils fanbase, is that while we have a smaller market or fewer fans than New York or Philly, we're still as passionate as Ranger or Flyer fans... Hell, we even love our team just as much as Red Wing, Canadien, and Flame fans love theirs...

    It's kind of like a cult-following. :)

  • Oh, and you're right about playoff games... I went to Game 1, and was greeted by over 17,000 fellow Devil fanatics... The other cool thing is that they were right about public transportation and a location in a city environment, Game 1 and 2 probably would have gotten only 14,000+ at CAA, yet they were sold out at The Rock. :)

  • that part of the town is safe trust me compared to new york its MUCH safer

  • Alot of the seats in the Prudential Centre are empty, yes, but New Jersey is so fricken small on the map of the U.S. almost one of the smallest places, obviously California with all its roller coasters and stuff is one of the mainly populated places for tourists

  • We'll I wouldn't go as far as to say that the seats always empty...

We'll usually draw a nice crowd of 14,000+, which isn't actually that bad as our arena is relatively smaller (17,625 seats).

  • Hopefully, because New Jersey doesnt usually sell out a crowd, they will have good playoff seats, that would be cool

  • Very true...

And on an appripiate note, I went to the Carolina - Devils game last night... There was at least 16,000 there.

  • Hey, I noticed your old comment about the playoff crowds again, and I'd like to confirm that The Rock sure does rock during a playoff game... (Bad pun, sorry. :P) I went to Game 1, and the place was packed and just as loud as Joe Louis Arena or the Bell Centre. :)

The cool thing is that the same exact game probably would have gotten only 14,000+ at CAA. :)

  • @tacticalreaper666 The Devils have fans its just that most of them that live near Newark work alot and it is hard to sell out on weekdays if they arent playing division rivals or the Red Wings, etc.

  • Haha the Penguins and their newbie fans with their brand new powder blue Crosby jerseys. Must be nice to suck for 10 years and then hit the lottery and get Crosby and Malkin. As for attendance, the Devils never dipped below 14,000 on average, even in a bad year, the Penguins had an average of 10,000 fans before the whole Crosby "me too" bandwagon started. Hardcore guys, hardcore. Go Devils, we will always, always be here. Keep hating.

  • sorry about my comments regarding your devils but still that place is kinda empty half the time though from what i see on tv. i was hoping in going to a game there last year or this year with a special friend of mine but we're not friends anymore so i guess i wont be going to yur new place for a while. shes a hardcore devils fan maybe you know here by chance.. jenn colantoni.

  • they sucked for 3 years !!!!!!! before then 12 straight playoff appearances !!!!!!! if your going to talk smack get the facts straight. LETS GO PENS !!!!!!!!!!

  • HAH! how about 2003-06?? pens were almost rock bottom!

  • pens suck

  • and thats as crowded as that place is going to be

  • can't get more crowded than a sellout, you moron!

  • yea no shit of course it was a sellout for the first game, which is exactly what im refering to! that place will never be sold out ever again, only when my rangers come to town

  • Ah attendance, the cry of a miserable Rangers fan who has probably never even seen the cup won in his own building. I have. Die in a fiery car crash.

Rangers games have empty seats all over the place, but it somehow is recorded as a "sellout", ah James Dolan, you are a hoot! The Devils do quite well for a team that has to deal with asshole Rangers and Flyers fans in our backyards. Win a cup that wasnt A.) Half belonging to the Oilers or B.) When the league has more than 6 teams, then talk. Bye!

  • that whole die in a car crash comment was totally unnecessary. 2nd the rangers 94 win had more than 6 teams in nhl and so what if some of the players were from the oilers! keenan and smith did what they had to do to end the curse and finally win a championship! theres nothing wrong with it! lastly those empty seats at msg belong to ticketholders selling those seats on ebay, stubhub, ticketsnow, ticketliquidator and ticket exchange. they cant make it or dont want to go thats why they are empty!!

  • I'd like to say that he wants you guys to win a Cup that hasn't been thought of as the Cup the brought Edmonton's total to 5 1/2 OR been won in a league with more than six teams. You guys have always done ONE of those two things to win the Cup...

As for the Devils, we've EARNED our Cups with a gritty, hardworking team, not Superstars that are babied (with the exception of Brodeur after 2001), and we never won a Cup with less than 26 teams in the league.

  • but the rangers have won the cup with more than just 6 teams in the league so yeah. and the players the rangers had in 94 were not all from edmontons past.

  • Regardless of the fact that there might have only been three or four notable ex-Oilers, I can almost guarantee that the Curse, er, I mean, the 54-year-period of Ranger suckage wouldn't have ended if it wasn't for Messier, Smith, Graves, and Keenan.

  • i totally agree with you! the curse would still be going on today maybe, if keenan, smith, graves, and messier werent there. keenan ordered smith to make trades during that season to bring in anderson, matteu, noonan and others as well and guaranteed the rangers would win the cup if he made trades to get those players.

  • I agree with your statement as well...

Am I seriously talking to a Ranger fan that has his head on straight?

This may be a sign of the apocalypse! AHHHH!!!!!

haha, I'm just messing with you. :)

  • yes your talking to a ranger fan that has his on straight! guess its because 1 of my best friends lives in joisey and is a huge devils fan! as for devs fans chant of the rangers suck-thats only accurate when it comes to the pathetic power play! we still have the better arena and better fans lol.

  • Well, your arena and fans are better for different reasons...

Our arena is better as it's a brand new venue with modern amenities, your's is better because of the fact that it's a sports icon.

Your fans are better because you have an Original Six fanbase that's been around since the beginning, yet our fans (while there's not as many) as just as passionate as Ranger fans.

  • i cant belive we are on the same page here!! must be because your a pacman fan like i am. my friend jen from nj says ranger fans and devils fans cant co-exist with each other and that why she doenst want a relationship with me. i wana smack her bc i like her so much and shes just being dumb! but yeah yur arena is modern and ours is an icon.. yur fans are passionate like us and we been around for the duration... hey at least we can both agree we are better than the stupid isles fans!!

  • haha, well, I can co-exist with Ranger fans, specifically the one's that you can have a decent conversation with. The Ranger fans I do have a problem with are the little kids who just love to start trouble. :D

  • @ENTERTAINMENT35 the isles dont have fans dumbass

  • @mantlemonkey30: NAH REALLY!

  • too bad the senators scored the first goal earlier in the game

  • what is the name of that song

  • you got that right tbstyle777

  • That must have been awesome! unfortunately i was in california that day, but at least im going to opening night on oct 10 (right after my birthday!)

  • i wish theyd bring back oley as the goal song

  • I have a pennant from the first game ever. Oct5.1982 vs Pittsburgh Penguins. The opening night at Brendan Byrne Arena, which later became the Meadowlands Arena. If anyone is interested make an offer. I have yet to find another. Let me know if anyone else has seen any others.

  • wats a pennant lol

  • i was counting down for such a long time for that night and when it came i was so PUMPED. even though the devils lost, the atmosphere was great. i cannot wait till next season.

  • my dad got season tickets for me n him this year :D

  • i was so excited on oct. 27. i remember being so pumped up after seeing that goal. if only the devils won, that would have a perfect night!

  • DEvils will always be the best and the rangers will always suck!

  • gionta is a super BAMF!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Devils are the most boring team to wathc...they cant take a hit...they suck

  • fuck you netsys15, the devils are the shit!!! what team do you like eh?

  • the penguins. the devins are fukin nothing compared to the penguins. the devils are the most boring team to watch and they completly suck.

  • they dont completley suck actually, what was the record between the devils and the pens this year eh?

  • ok. go penguins. beat the flyers. but, the devils dont suck. they are almost as exciting to watch as the penguins b/c they have the greatest goalie of all time and a solid offense.

  • well why did you watch a devils video if you hate them?

  • HAHA 4-1 SERIES OVER LETS GO RANGERS!

  • HAAH THERE GUNNA JUST GET SWEPT BY THE PENGUINS...

    haha

  • Thats not the fist goal. The first goal was by otawah I was there

  • It's the NJ Devils first goal!

  • devils rule forever

  • I see me in that video...face paint front row by the bench...LET'S BEAT THE RANGERS IN THE PLAYOFFS AND WIN THE CUP!

  • gz gionta!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i've been there a few times so far. i love the new center :]

and i've been tot he old place a billion times.

    lets go giontaaa.

  • nice arena guys

  • i was at sec. 17 row 13 when they beat the islanders

  • damn i hate the devils but i really wanna go to there new place!!!! i walked past the other place once when i was going to a jets eagles game. (i think it was the continental airlines center) please correct me if i am wrong.

  • too bad they lost 4-1 though :(

  • Rangers Suck!

  • ...and Islanders swallow! :-)

  • hell yeah

  • [= [=

  • section 16...I have a few more games this year there, but if you're interested in buying the pair for one of them let me know.

  • Rangers Suck!!!!!!

  • who beat the devils 6 times?? the rangers, lol lol

  • When was the last time the Rangers won a stanley cup!!!!!! Maybe 1993 - 1994.

  • we could of had dem sens in the plam of our hands...argh. i went there woo hoo

its was amazingg..i wish i could live there

when i see that goal i got goosbumbs.

    I LOVE GIOOO. hes amazing

  • The scoreboard in Philly is a little different.

  • ive been to like 11 games its a great stadium those who ddnt go yet should. lets go devs

  • they have the same scoreboard as the wachovia center in philly

  • im a huge devils fan and i was at that game it was sweet even though we lost

  • People who grew up to devils, are college aged to just out of college, we don't have money to spend on expensive hockey games, hopefully the fan base will get money and attend games in the near future....

  • people are now 25 is they were born in 82', but if they saw their 1st Devils game when they were 5 in 82', then they would be 30

thats not right out of college...plus, a generation is like 25 years, the Devils are now in their second generation.

  • What the fuck are you smoking? They do sell out in the playoffs dumb fuck.

  • so the habs sell out 200 games in a row

  • 1.) The Habs are a Canadian team they should sell out every game

2.) The Habs have been in the NHL since 1917. The Devils have been around since 1982.

3.) The devils still have a young fan base in a smaller market then New York.

  • Minnesota has been around since 2000 and they have sold out every game since then.

  • Look man. The Devils play in New Jersey and I was comparing them to the Canadiens, but if you want to talk about Minnesota then think of it this way. They are a bigger hockey town and have always had die hard hockey fans even when the North Stars left. SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT ATTENDENCE! It's the only thing a looser fan can do to put down the Devils. When was the last time you saw your team win the cup fucking idiot...

  • I'm not a Wild fan, I'm just stating facts.

On a totally unrelated note, at least you guys sell out in the playoffs, unlike Detroit.

  • Heard the attendance has been pretty poor there so far.

  • Yeah kind of, but it will get better.

  • its an avg of 14,000+ sold out on the ranger game last wed.

  • So that's like 3,000 empty seats. Honestly it should be sold out or close every night.

  • i totally agree.. i think alot of ppl are still weary of newark thou.. ive been to every home game and there are empty seats. but alot of season ticket holders dont show. not to mention corporate season ticket holders who only use those tickets for clients and other nonsense like that. they do sell out during the playoffs thou.

  • Living in New York City it is very easy to go to games, but I'm not always able to go to games becuase I just don't have the money. I think the Devils still have a very large fan base of young kids between 12-18 that watch all the time, but can't go. This is why they don't sell out.

  • I've been to three home games now. From what I see, a lot, and I mean A LOT of people that are supposed to be in the center black seats, all hang out in the fire/ice bars, and the goal bar. Which may I add, are very nice bars!! I can see why they'd rather hand in there and watch the game then sit in the seat. But if you look at the attendance in the paper, (from the different times I looked) they are actually averaging about 15,500 to 16000 fans.

  • The Wild's Jumbotron is cooler =D

  • kool i have a video like this only i filmed it from the club seats lol at last ngihts game...u cant hear the song in mine tho cuz i was excited and sang along with it lol

  • this new goal song sucks. Bring back the ole' song.

  • what does ole have to do with the Devils though? I'm sure a lot of Devs fans would like Rock N Roll PArt 2 back.

  • I'm all for rock n roll part 2 back.. Ole Ole was garbage.. felt like you were at a soccer game.. The new one is def better than Ole Ole.. But not the greatest..

  • Bring back the original song that lasted until the lockout.......the one most teams still use; this one is at LEAST better than hearing "ole, ole ole ole..."

  • GO SENS!!! WOOHOO. The best team ever!!!

  • i was there!!!!

  • Nice!!

  • We need more of these.
