  • Listen up...if you don't like the USA then get the fuck out and go live in the cave/shithole you came from.

  • free speech preceeded by a brain washing dean. How kosher.

  • F#cking uneducated ivy league monkey, using CFR and propaganda material to support zionism!

  • "Tradition of openness"?

    What a joke.

  • Don't forget our "Free Press". LOL!

[Without which all of the corruption became possible.]

These traditions once existed, but those were the first Americanisms to go.

Where once our differences were the very basis of our strength, now you're either "with us, [Cheney/bush] or your with the terrorists."

  • This American says beware academics who condemn other world leaders from on high while exonerating their own leaders of the same crimes. The United States has a long and well-documented history of sponsoring terrorism in other states and has been on the wrong side of good more times than not ever since it lead a policy of deliberate ethnic cleansing and extermination against the Native Americans.

The problems begin, not in Iran, but at home. Look in the mirror, President Bollinger.

  • It's all because of Columbia's study funders. Of course they want something for they money.

  • This is just sad. Some university professor making a name out of himself by telling all the people how bad a country Iran is compared to America and is aiming all his criticism towards Ahmadinejad and making some ridiculous requests. All this while their own president doesn't show any balls to even.

What a prologue; I think they always have to tell who is the bad guy in America.

And Lebanon sure didn't suffer 'cause of Iran, no, it was 'cause of Israel and who's the one who funds Israel?

  • Shame on Bollinger, he is being a monkey for the Zionists

  • The greates empires on the earth have all failed from the same sickness! Greed and power. Go anywhere and buy one thing made in this country! Look up the anual yearly income average per person in each state and D.C.. Lobbyist put 2.58 billion dollars in congresses pockets in 2006!

  • COMMENT CONTINUATION It stirs up a climate of nationalism and fear through the terrorist related propaganda on every major news network, the image of the mysterious yet terrifying 'other' coming to steal your freedom. The Wolf at the Door if you like. The american people are on a leash, controlled by their master - fear. This makes them dogs

  • hahahaha the "genious" American idea of free speech. Fools

  • bollinger; showing himself for a bush monkey.

  • There are only few who can stand like Ahamdinejad against that kind of public and mass humilation in every possible way.I'm not muslim but it is obvious to me now why every nation don't like jewish people.I think every university should show this to students in every continent.

  • He would never shut up, as he is a brainless monkey, who will never stop and has no manners to talk to any human being. He is the true representative of modern days US, i.e. how these people not only brainless but they also speak it loud as well.

  • wow, does this puppet bollinger ever shut up?

  • look up DAVID COLE HOLOCAUST part 1 to 10.

  • You miserable litte mut!

It is time to take Irans toys away!

Try disputing Hiroshima and Nagasaki you puny digusting little mongrel mut!

You don't like the scraps we give you, then you will get no scraps!

We have taken Iraq and Afghanistan, and soon enough we will take Iran!

    Bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb Iran!

    Can't you hear it?

Don't you realize what we did to Hitler.

    You are next!

Miserable little mut. We will show you how to use Nuclear weapons once and for all!

  • You realise you are the new New Nazi Germany. Every empire falls you american dog

  • ur a dummy...let me guess ur of european decent?...nazi

  • How in the world can you refer to any human as a dog, American or not? It's funny that you compare Americans to Nazis and then completely disregard an entire nation of people. Wouldn't that make you the Nazi?

  • If i described an entire race as dogs then you could call me a nazi. American is not a race. America is a economic and militaristic empire, controlled by a few neo conservative think tanks and businesses who control the population through the media and a climate of fear. Rather like Nazi Germany.

  • And for that America will win!

    Iraq: 0

    North Korea: 0

Iran: (Do we really need to figure this one out?)

  • Not before you do Pig!

  • u as. hole, have u got a call from FOX news yet ?, they r looking for ignorant fu.ks like u.

    May u get fired soon

  • The guy is tottlally delusional. First, the holocaust didnt happned, now there are no homo in Iran. He is nuts.

  • what an idiot professor. you are either a zionist or effected by the zionists owned midea. you invited him first, but when zionists' midea pressured you, you started speaking against him.

  • (Part 1) Thanks to the president of Iran a new word has entered the political vocabulary:mahdaviat it means "belief in and efforts to prepare for the Mahdi(Islamic messiah)Mahdaviat has direct and ominous implications. For Mr. Ahmadinejad, the top priority is to challenge America and Israel, and create a powerful model state based on "Islamic democracy". He believes Allah has chosen him to prepare the world for the coming of Mahdi. (continued in Part 2)

  • (Part 2) But before the Mahdi's return, Ahmadinejad believes there must be global chaos -- even if he has to create it himself. He has stated that this chaos must take place before the Mahdi can come. With him it is a win-win situation. If we attack him, he wins because chaos happens. If we don't, he gets to create the chaos which he has said he is willing to do and he will do. (continued in Part 3)

  • "Iran remains the world's leading sponsor of international terrorism and is on the Department of State's list of countries that provide support for acts of international terrorism."

"Iran has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel and Iran, supports organizations such as Hizballah, Hamas, and the Palestine Islamic Jihad, which are responsible for terrorist attacks against Israel."

Iran Nuclear Proliferation prevention Act of 1998

  • 'By Way Of Deception Thou Shalt Do War'

Let The War Drum Begin! Haven't you Americans learn anything from the Past wars. What make you all so sure is the intention of your government to demonised any country that they going to attack. Only when the war has begun than you realized, you were dancing with the drum beat all along... Slow Pickup.Very Slow!

  • fuck that whiteguy

  • Thats's enough spam out of you burt2121 ,once twices ok, every few hours , nope, now you are purged because you have no self control. You let the jews take up way to much real estate in your head

  • In the words of Edmund Burke "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing". I have never been more proud to be a Columbia Student, because yesterday a good man did something.

  • . Now I don't expect many of you to take what I am saying to heart. I expect you to say "Bush is just as bad if not worse" and "This was personal opinion and attack". I'd like you to keep in mind I'm not supporting Bush by attacking a bad man. I also would like you to recall that Ahmadinejad was giving a speech about his views and ideals, or in other words his personal opinion.

  • We gave him the respect he refuses to give by allowing him to speak at our university, something almost no one else has done, and something we have been criticized for. As we are quietly and respectfully listening to his ideals of hate and suppression he can do the same when we tell him we will not stand for it.

  • Liberalism has a limit and I think it is being completely surpassed by the comments I'm seeing in response to this stand of heroism. This was a Brave man standing up to evil. You are speaking of Ahmadinejad, a proven murderer who has drawn criticism to Hitler himself, as a "respected guest". The man went on to make such outrageous claims such as homosexuals not existing in Iran.

  • In the book Hitler and the Final Solution by Gerald Fleming, there is a quote of Hitler that says: "Once I really am in power, my first and foremost task will be the annihilation of the Jews" (p. 17).

why do you think it's foolish to believe it ever occurred? how can you not believe that the holocaust occurred?

  • What a great speech by the Dean. I really thought he'd suck up to the guy and appease him, but instead he came out and said exactly what needed to be said.

  • you say Iran trying to make nuclear Bomb. well but Iran has not can to produce it yet. but America produced and used it 40 years ago. now which is dengrous? your Navies in Persian Golf or our missiles in our country?

who are near? your armis to us or our's to you?

  • All of you are in the mistake. the America like to kill people in the world and use the other countries's sources. the people of world aren't important for American government and USA's people

  • That was an excellent speech. Much higher level of intelligence and humanity than you ever find on Fox. Hell just froze over.

  • wow, that introduction was more insane than the Iranians. Lesson: the elites are insane.

  • bollinger said freedom of speech is an american idea. oh and not so in canada,eh? where he hate free speech. what an extremist.

  • Iran is bad! America is good! Get that through your head. People need to try to allow themselves to discriminate, listen to Bollinger he says this guy is bad, and he is a liberal, please liberals there is such a thing as good and evil, America didn't create the problems in the middle east they were there before America was even discovered.

  • Wow.... by the way Iran is treated, you would think that Ahmadinejad and Iran have invaded a country unjustly, demolished it's stability and refused to take appropriate steps to rectifying the problem, all in the name of Democracy. If that had been done, I could see why there would be so much protest.

  • This ignorant and arrogant man (Lee)has laid a bad precedent (more detrimental to USA). I am wondering if same treatment is awarded to the President of muderous regime in Washington if he happens to deliver speech in the University outside USA!!!

  • I'm watching CNN right now and they are jumping all over Bollinger's remarks and are blasting him. I agree. You don't invite someone to speak as a guest, and then pull a stunt like this. Bollinger was simply trying to save face amid all the criticism from the University's decision.

  • f*cking rude old fuck

  • Columbia Pres Bollinger's comments take the debate to a personal level, expressing his and our governments dislike towards the Iranian Pres.He couldve expressed his views in a rather not so obtrusive way.But obviously a University Pres can't go against the policies his country ardently supports. (Where will he get the extra salary bonuses from?)

Although I dont share the same views as the Iranian Pres I do believe that this is no way to treat even your worst enemy on an intellectual platform.

  • Invitation by columbian university was rude and unfair. Infact it was a propaganda broadcast that went wrong for them as Ahmedinijad still won the day by handling everything well -- cool dude!. We Americans conveniently forget we are the only nation who has used nuclear weapons (more than once) and killed more people on this planet than any nation in history. Wake up for the sake of humanity. Humananity is one nation.

  • Again, I agree that Ahmadinejad had a right to speak, but for everyone on here to immediately take what he says at face value is absurd. Do you take everything Bush says at 100% face value? Didn't think so. A politician is a politician. Actions speak louder than words and going forward, this is how we should judge the man. However, my personal opinion is that we need to stay out of everyone else's affairs and concentrate on protecting our own damn borders in our own country.

  • lol is this the president of Columbia, dissapointed

  • I wouldn't necessarily call President Bollinger rude or an embarassment to Columbia Univesity. He was just very forward about what he needed to see and given the media hype and the pressure from the many factions of the student body, he acted in a very exceptional manner.

just my 2 cents. if you feel like discussing this further, message me.

  • I respectfully disagree. I think that Bollinger buckled to pressure exerted on him by the pro-Israel crowd which include some students. That's why I catagorize him as a coward. Instead of saying "we will have an open and free discussion to gain understanding on the issue" he chose to play into the hands of the warmongers who didn't want Ahmadinejad to speak based soley on their easily refuted accusations against him.

  • (cont.) He behaved like someone with very little integrity as far as I'm concerned and succeeded in painting us exactly as a lot of rest of the world sees us: Loud, bellicose, belligerent, ignorant and arrogant. The more we decide to choose courses of action that don't consider the viewpoint of the other side the more we'll choose actions that do nothing except harm the situation.

  • and does Ahmadinejad answer them upon his turn at the podium? NO! He waxes philosophic about the divine right of science for about 15 minutes before even beginning to beat around the bush. He doesn't answer one question that we bring up to him, and acts exactly like what we'd expect any politician to do: skate around every topic. The whole field of Columbians were just looking around at each other and what the hell the President of Iran was talking about.

  • ksh, for the people with the philosophical eye, perspective, he was very clear: against homosexuality, pro democracy and female participation, wants a democratic solution for the israelin conflict, inerpretates the consequences of the holocaust in a more realistic way than bush and doenst denie any scientific fact, but investigates all abstract truths, such as genocide and holocaust, supports hizbollah, he never denied that.if you have any questions remaining, i would be happy to explain

  • I'm not directing this at you personally but my question is was Ahmadinejad's words too subtle for the American palette? If you look carefully at his language, it's very clear what he was saying. Does he have to spell it out slowly so we here in the US can grasp what he's saying? If that's the case then we need to seriously look at what we're calling an "education" in this country.

  • I don't know how many people watched the whole speech, but I was there on South Lawn for the whole Bollinger introduction and Ahmadinejad's answer and the discussion.

Don't draw conclusions based on what clips you see off of the TV or the internet. It would be a good idea to watch the whole event. Especially don't watch FoxNews

Presbo presents a very moving speech, which I must admit wasn't much of an introduction. However, he brings up some very strong points that America did want answered.

  • FREE IRAN

  • ..cont'd How many countries has Iran invaded in the last 100 years (0) -killing innocent civilians mostly women and children (not soldiers) in the name of democracy - who is the real terrorist? Please let's start redefining once again what it means to be a terrorist - let's not listen to what the bush admin, FOX, etc define as terrorist acts.

  • I think Iranians in Iran have to right to complain and hate this man (especially homosexuals and non-religious women) but i have no idea what the f*&* americans are complaining about? last time I checked it is our amercian president who has so much blood in his hands.

  • Are all university chancellors in US such and rude and disrespectful? It's a shame for academic society.

  • It just called a spade a spade idiot. Would Hitler have deserved respect too?

  • Godwin's Law

  • Bollinger = foolish

  • Stupid Americans heckling and booing. No damn respect for a leader of another country. They think they are so damn smart and cultured because they take classes 2hrs a week on some bs subject and drink a $10 cup of coffee from starbucks. Unless they have lived in Iran and know its customs who the hell are they to judge. Homosexuality is still illegal in parts of the US. Sort your own damn country out, highest prison population in the world, highest divorce rate, high murder/rape rate.

  • I believe you're mixing up homosexuality with sodomy, and in fact many laws concerning that have been overturned recently (due to the Lawrence v. Texas case in the supreme court). Not to sound like a flag waving redneck or anything, but do you think something like that would even be possible in the Theocracy that is Iran?

  • Bollinger is disrespectful and foolish... he made that very clear. As for Ahmadinejad, he was definitely blowing smoke when it came to human rights issues. Ironically, he did shine light on the brutality taking place in Palestine. Palestinians really have been persecuted in their own country for 3/4 of a century... if you're interested in Israel's cruel practices, just google "Rachel Corrie" or "Golan Heights" or "Israel and Lebanon" or "Occupation of Gaza Strip and West Bank"

  • talkin from iran i hope one day we can get rid of these frakin stupid dictators, sigh i got classmates in prison only for publishing words in local newspapers...

  • Once democracy has firm footing in Iraq, it will come to you. Be patient. Your people will be free.

  • We'll keep our finger crossed and see if it flourishes. Hopefully, it'll be the type of democracy where an occupation force has absolutely no say in who gets to stay in office after popular election. BUT, that's never going to happen because if muqtada sadr runs for office as a candidate he'll be elected in a landslide.

America has become the biggest lying hypocrite in the world. Democracy is just another term for 'submit to the american dollar and will' or we'll kill you.

  • You're in your moms basement mooching off her social security in NY. That's not iran. Start taking your meds again.

  • False. I don't live in NY, nor am I living in a basement, "mooching" my mother's social security. Like the Persian government, you are blatantly ignornt. You make false assumptions and generalize people who hates your religion.

  • I assume you're an ignorant, hateful, and a bigoted little prick then.

You live in your boyfriend's parents' basement mooching off their leftovers! I get it.

  • It's like he's blaming Ahmadinejad for the people who are arrested and detained in Iran. Does that mean President Bush plays a role in arresting people in the U.S.? Am I missing something?

  • how come in every interview he is in he is wearing the same suit...

  • I don't think Bollinger's comments were needed, especially since his University welcomed Ahmadinejad there in the first place. No, I don't support terrorism, and Ahmadinejad pretty much admitted he was letting his weapons into Iraq, but one of the biggest problems I feel is that the US doesn't belong there to begin with. It would be a lot less complicated without our involvement. We do not belong in a civil war.

  • both cbs and columbia did a lousy job of exposing him: their questions were braindead, accusatory, offensive. Both parties lumped too many questions and answers together and details were never scrutinized. Worst of all was colombia's policy of attacking him when he could not respond at the end after he had finished speaking, as well as the audience's audacity to 'clap' or remain silent as it pleased

  • raving religious fanatic, useless and ignorant theorist, thinks he can construct a truth by positing series of impotent arguments. We respect individual rights of women because women have been elected to hold state office? Right...

  • Iraq is minor to a NUCLEAR IRAN.

  • This Columbia guy will be working for fox by the end of the week.

  • it all starts...................now

  • wow, Palistinean...I forgot when was Palestine a country? I am actually shocked Bollinger did speak the truth!

  • It is terrible news that Bolinger of the school got death threats from the government if he didn't say those things.

  • Really? where exactly did you see this reported?

  • Comparing Ahmadinejad's logic, reasoning and preaching of peace and justice to Bush's idiotic bully approach of threatening other nations to subdue or be bombed, American public should seek more channels other than the US mainstream media to uncover the ongoing media manipulation by the US Government. I am shocked but not surprised to see the general public in US has been conditioned to such a juvenile degree on global affairs. Be a scholar, not a Rambo.

  • Thank You, takid!

    A rational voice.

All those students and the mainstream media are on some kind of mob mentality - believe whatever the media and government propaganda tells them.

Wake up people! Don't let yourself get sucked into the mob. That only makes it easier for the mainstream media to make you believe more lies. SAY NOT TO MAINSTREAM MEDIA!!!!

  • Bollinger was not being courageous He acted like a coward. What Bollinger did reeks of a country swamped by hateful propaganda Of a country isolated and living in a fantasy worldWhy even invite someone to speak if you are going to introduce him in such a manner? What is going on here?

  • Bollinger was not being courageous He acted like a coward. What Bollinger did reeks of a country swamped by hateful propaganda Of a country isolated and living in a fantasy worldWhy even invite someone to speak if you are going to introduce him in such a manner? What is going on here?

  • the faith of Islam is an occumulation of fairytells. All organized religion are man made and full of human flaws. This world will never achieve peace with religion on our minds. Grow up and stop believing in these rediculous books. That's all they are. I was about six years old when I figured out that Noah didn't save the creatures of the earth on his boat. And believe me, you will not have any virgins waiting for you in heaven.

  • Have Americans lost their ability to think critically? What does it say about our nation when a president of one of our most prestigious universities resorts to the sort of childish, sensational rhetoric our President is infamous for. Does anyone have the courage to be intellectually honest anymore?

  • he talks of confronting the "mind of evil" and knowing how to deal with enemies.... sounds like a shameless whitehouse drone rather than a fair-minded intellectual willing to examine all the countours of world affairs.

  • how is he a drone when everything the Dean said was supported by a reliable reference? pretty good sources if i may add. while the Iranian Pres. says, "we need more research"

  • im american and bollinger embarassed our whole country by spewing his opinionated bullshit

  • every point Bollinger made was backed by a source, the only opinionated part was when he said 'petty dictator'. that's freedom of speech, you make a claim with foundations then you present your view point.

the Iranian Pres. makes no clear point other than rhetoric ideas and slogans directed toward the impressionable youth.

  • He talked rubbish, especially the part when he accused Ahmadinejad of threatening to engulf the world in a nuclear holocaust, an absolutely farcical claim considering Iran has never threatended anyone and doesnt even have the bomb, while Bush is threatening and invading countries every few years and has nukes up his ass. Thats the kind of blind propoganda that I find disturbing. These crazy americans really believe their bullshit.

  • lenny makes a good point about the US continually violating the UN charter with provocations and threats of force to iran, while iran has done nothing that can even compare to such documented violations of internaitonal order.

  • He makes no clear point? How about asking what Palestine has to do with the holocaust and why they are paying for it?

  • The Israel - Palestine conflict arose after the first world war with the defeat of the ottoman empire, the land was carved up and several nations were created, although Israel was not included in the original countries, Jews in Europe pressured the government for the creation of the nation. The second WW was the catalyst for recognition of Israel.

  • freedom of speech? thats interesting since columbia wont allow rotc or army recruiters on their campus. sounce like a hypocritical asshole to me

  • he cited the petreaus report about iranian terrorism against US troops, which provides no adequate proof. his other sources were refering to petty out of context mistranslations that were aimed at demonizing and dehumanizing ahmadinejad and iranians with trivial rhetoric psychologically designed to scare and anger people.

  • these are hardly "clear foundations" for the hate that was spewing out of bollinger's mouth. and you dont think all that garbage about "know your enemy" and about his think tank buddies in israel was not opinion; he was basically revealing his hatred and bias, and thats about it.

  • i think he could have summed up his inflammatory rant in a few statements. everything the US and israel do is good. everything iran does is bad. iranians are animals, while we are humans. iranians are evil, while we are righteous. cut out the laundry list of speculation and insulting one-sidedness and that is all that remains.

  • I wonder how long the people of Iran will allow themselves to be controlled and humiliated by their own government. Read the book "1984", I'm sure you can relate. In the end, all dictators fall. Too much resources are needed to police your opposition within your borders that they are weakend on the perimeter. Stand up Iran!

  • I wonder how long the people of America will allow themselves to be controlled and humiliated by their own government.

    Stand up zombies.

  • Bollinger is fucking prick. You don't invite a man only to take cheap shots at him... fucking coward.

  • It's called responsible freedom of speech.

  • its called being a pussy

  • I don't really understand why Columbia University "invites" this guy to speak, then lambasts him for ten minutes by way of introducing him!! This is crude behavior. If he really is such a loathsome individual, they shouldn't invite him at all. Hypocrisy.

  • its really quite pathetic and telling of "intellectual culture" , completely buying into media hype. he actually called him "evil". he is forced to apologize because of the outrage at "freedom of speech". this just shows how serious US intellectual culture is at resolving looming conflicts and spreading mutual understanding and respect; they simply toe the white house line, like they did in the iraq war.

  • this kind of childish nonsense does nothing but strengthen hardliners like ahmadinejad and harms the progress of the less than 30 year old nation of iran. when war mongers and their complacent intellectuals talk of human rights, it strengthens the people they criticize. if the US wants change in iran, it first has to look within its own society and governemnt, while supporting reforming element in iran, rahter than strengthening the ruling groups like this.

  • I wonder if this program was for this freak (bollinger) to talk shit or was it for Ahmadinejad!

and besides, if US has Nuclear weapons and the only country who has used it against humans then they r NOT IN THE POSITION TO JUDGE IRANIAN!

  • I think most sensible people would agree that for Bolinger to *INVITE* someone to speak at his university and then to accuse his guest of "brazen provocation" for SHOWING UP is a really FUCKING STUPID THING TO DO!!

  • As a liberal this sounds very appealing - too appealing - his words - in comparison to the horrible acts of violence that take place in Iran is entirely hypocritical. I'm incredibly optimistic, and would love to see serious peace talks - but the faith of Islam is stronger then anything you can even imagine in the United States. This is life in Middle East - Please be wise - but PLEASE don't be fooled...

  • Only one side speaking, and that's enough for me to rate this video low.

    No other comment!

  • ! Your ill use of words, not only explains your ignorance, but your in ability to seek truth! "!" Do your research, before you speak out of ignorance! "!" I live in THIS country FREE, you do also....if you don't like it MOVE! I'm sure IRAN would like your SUPPORT! Careful though, before you make that move, you can't post comments like this! SHANE357!

  • This guy is full of shit. Spinning and twisting statements. Spewing poison. It's sad that he they invited him to Columbia University, and then talk lies about him.

  • Bollinger doesnt deserve to be the president of an Ivy League university...he is so rudewhat the hell...u chicken! y dont ya put the 2nd part and the main part of the talk where Ahmadinejad talks...u scared?

  • good god, i'm pretty sure Bollinger didn't post this... wow...

  • why do the palestinians have to suffer for the crimes of the holocaust? The state of Israel was created as a result of the Nazi's attrocities.

It's not only palestinians that suffered as a result of the formation of Israel, many Christians also have suffered. Anyone who is a gentile in Israel has less rights than a Jew. Why? This is racism.

  • Iranian president is a good president

  • Saddam Was our ally. He killed thousands of Iranians and we did nothing.

I still have not heard an answer from intellectuals or the media...

WHAT DO THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE HAVE TO DO WITH THE CRIMES OF THE NAZIS? WHY SHOULD THEY SUFFER DISPLACEMENT AND BEING DRIVEN OUT OF THEIR HOMES? WHY?

  • Jesus fucking christ this guy talks WAY too much.

  • That's your opinion, the video contains his. Thank you.

  • The Columbia president was extremely rude. The petty insults were embarrassing to the university and uncalled for.

  • Uncalled for? So do you expect nobody to speak out against an evil dictator? That's what they want, that's how they maintain power. Truth can sometimes seem rude when it is negative. I think it was completely called for and have only respect for him to stand up for free speech and democracy around the world.

  • Evil by whose definition? How many innocent people have we killed in Iraq? And you throw the word "dictator" around because you got it from the media. Ahmadinejad was democratically elected, and if the Iranians want him out let them have the balls to throw him out. I'm tired of playing the world's police. You're an idiot because you don't realize conflict is needed to prop up the imaginary economy called the military-industrial-complex.

  • Have the balls to throw him out... and get killed or imprisoned with the rest of the political dissidents, right? Dumbass. We've done some bad things in Iraq, but I doubt the military has ever specifically ordered the public execution of women and children. If you don't think that's evil, I think your perspective is extremely skewed. Quit being a tool by trying to sound educated because you disagree with the "mainstream media." It doesn't make you seem smart, sorry.

  • i dont think its a matter of speaking out against an evil dictator, so much as being respectful towards someone/a guest in your institution. one of the president's first remarks was:

  • Thank you for ruining our quiet discussion with you're capital letters and flagrant disregard for the proper use of an exclamation point.

  • Shut up Bollinger... let the Iranian speak.

  • WAKE UP LIBERALS, do your research! HE SPEAKS THE TRUTH! Remember HITLER was voted into POWER! Don't take my word, do YOUR own research! This guy is nothing more than a Hitler re-encarnate! Thanks to BUSH and our military personel, YOU can feel safe that your CHILDREN will NOT have to face people like Ahmadinejad words will not go unanswered! LIBERALS, THE CLINTON ERA IS OOOOOVVVVVVERRRRRRRR!

  • You are an idiot and your simplistic, patriotic bullshit disgusts me. Do you honestly think people hate America for no reason? That they are jealous of your greatness. No. The just don't want their societies to become the over-exposed, over-sexed, homo-erotic, putrid cesspool that is American culture. Bush and the military personnel aren't protecting Americans (from whom, Iraqis?), they are propping up the military-industrial-complex.

  • Ahmadenijad threatens to wipe Israel off the map. The state of Israel has ALREADY wiped Palestine of the map

  • he US invasion and occupation has been based on outright lies and deception. Over a 800,000 Iraqis of all ages have been killed, plus more than 1 million have been crippled, since the US led invasion. The invasion and occupation of IRAQ IS TERRORISM.

    No Justice, No Peace.

    Know Justice, Know Peace!

  • As I said. We execute prisoners, not orators.

  • We execute prisoners, not orators.

  • Take that Bitch!!!

  • All you hear is talk talk talk. Wheres the President of Iran? When do they show him speaking? Right, they don't.

  • He said in Iran we don't have homosexual folks !!! what rubbish !!! some one must ask this psycho that does Iran exists in planet Mars!!!??

  • and where the hell is the part that ahmedinejad speaks? are we not going to be able to hear what he actually said in CU ourselves? Do we have to get it from "the news"?

  • you can access the transcripts online in a few places. he gave the speech in arabic through a translator.

  • ... i cant find the president's actual speach anywhere on the net. wtf is that about? free speech my ass. it doesnt matter whether or not you agree with what the man believes, it is still important to listen to what he has to say, especially in these times.

  • Awesome job by Bollinger here. This took a lot of guts on his part. I'm glad he presented this audience of young people with such a truthful exposure of Ahmadinejad and the evil he is committing in Iran

  • Bollinger is brilliant, eloquent, and heroic here. This video is incomplete, and misses some of his most profound and moving statements. His opening comments were wonderful, and he should be revered and commended for them. Thank you, Lee Bollinger.

  • powned...

denying the most documented mass murder in history...lol, what a tool

  • watch the whole speech tool. he didnt deny it. you tool

  • Ahmadinejad has consistently denied the holocaust. He held a conference of holocaust deniers "investigating" whether or not it happened. You can argue whether or not Bollinger's tactics are valid, you cannot argue that Ahmadenijad acknowledges the holocaust. tool

  • yes i can argue it just as much as i can argue that youre an idiot that just watches the first 5 minutes of a speech. in thi speech ahmadinejad said that he does not deny the holocaust. now get your head out of your ass and get your facts straight

  • i read the transcript. he repeatedly said, inbetween thoughts, "if it is in fact a reality" or "if it did really occur" and things like that.

quotes: 1) "My first question was, if, given that the Holocaust is a present reality of our time, a history that occurred, ..."

    2) "...well, given this historical event, if it is a reality, ..."

he questions the fact that the holocaust happened. he is a fucking idiot.

  • I believe the right to conference with world leaders should only belong to the government, not some university.

  • That was insulting conduct from the president of Columbia, but AHMADINEJAD owned him back very well and with intelligence and made the president look like an ignorant fool.

AHMADINEJAD comes across as a sane, intelligent and thoughtful guy. Everything Bush is not.

  • You fucking retard. He is a fucking insane liar. Bush is an idiot. No doubt. However, that does not mean that Ineedadickajad deserves any respect. Read what the assclown has said and DONE as president of IRAN.

  • Which leader and country has invaded other nations, and supported terrorists like Saddam, and which nation is threatening to invade more nations? American not Iran. Only an ignorant fool would call AHMADINEJAD evil when his actions pale into comparision with Bush's. Who has AHMADINEJAD ever invaded or threatened to invade?

  • HOLY SHIT!, Do some reading you assclown. He supports terrorists in IRAQ that are killing soldiers. He has also threatened that Isreal needs to be "wiped off the map."

  • Its a war, the americans are terrorists and complaining about anyone who dares to fight back and just labels them terrorists? That makes no sense.

  • Yeah, we americans are the terrorists. I admit it. We are definitely known for suicide bombing, hijacking and blowing up airplanes or flying them into buildings. We're even known for blowing up buses with innocent people in them because they believe in a different God. Sure we're terrorists even though we welcome any religion in our country. We have over 2.5 million muslim people living in our country but yet we are the terrorists. Give me a break you ignorant asshole.

  • You just showed your ignorance perfectly. You seem to think just because you dont hijack planes you are not a terrorist. Extreme ignorance. Your terrorism is on a much higher leve, you invade countries and slaughter the people. For 4 years now you have been terrorising Iraq. Who has Iran invaded? Do you know the USA overthrew the Iran government in the 70s? Ignorant terrorist american.

  • Saddam Hussein was a crazed evil dicator that we overthrew. Yeah we have made some mistakes along the way and Bush is an idiot at times. However, last time I checked we didn't say that Isreal needed to be "wiped off the map." Nor were we placed on the UN's list of countries with the worst human rights records. Guess who was? IRAN. You are the ignorant FUCK who listens to anti-american propaganda and eats it up.

  • Saddam Hussein was such a crazed dictator that American supported him in the 80s and were his friends. Rumsfield shook his hand. See what a stupid american hypocrite you are?

Ahmadinejad was miquoted about what he said concerning Israel. He never said it or wants the country blown up and he explained his position well today. Stop swallowing american propoganda you monkey.

  • I don't know who you are or where you live. But I'm damn well sure that the US has done more for you that IRAN with regards to human betterment in medicine, economics, and technology. Certainly millions of people around the world don't won't to immigrate to the US because we are terrorists. But I'm also sure they don't want to immigrate to IRAN becuase of it's tolerance and opportunity laden environment. The US is not perfect. But we are not terrorists.

  • You have a very limited view as to what "terrorism" is.

The US has probably done more things that could be called "terrorism" than all the nations of the world combined.

  • Take your high school equivalent education and go do some research on what you just said. You sound stupid.

  • We use deliberate attacks on civilians as the standard,

Not accidental or unavoidable collateral damage.

  • You fucking retard. He is a fucking insane liar. Bush is an idiot. No doubt. However, that does not mean that Ineedadickajad deserves any respect. Read what the assclown has said and DONE as president of IRAN

  • you got that right, after all he is a professor of a university. How many monkeys can Bush Educate?

  • This "performance" was a disgrace, but we Americans are getting use to disgrace.
