It's kind of hard to listen to televangelists knowing that they are getting payed vast sums of money to be on this show. I've met most of them and they really don't know much about the Bible. If I was on this show, I could have easily schooled these idiots. I don't agree with homosexuality. And I could have made a much better argument than this. A 10 year old Sunday school student could have done better. This was just sad.
@ndependentwoman I guess because no other sins are seeking legitimacy but homosexuality at the moment. What other sin do you know of that when folks disagree with it face persecution, name-calling, ridicule and angry outbursts by the opposition? Are there churches for rapists, thieves, liars or pedophiles? This is the only sin that bullies, try to silence those who disagree with it and accuses others of having a "phobia". This is why the emphasis is on homosexuality!
Iona is not in contact with reality in that gay folks won't be "mishandled" by most that claim to be Christians. Gay poeple actually support ministries where they are repeatedly called FAGGOT right from the pulpit in their quest to be "delivered". I have witnessed it with my own eyes. Human sexulaity is complex to say the least & the church in well at ease & comfortable with it's collective head that has reamained in the sand for hundreds of years.
On , the contrary, it is very clear that Paul is condemning all \homosexual, IN GENERAL, consistent with the law of Moses (Paul was a jewish Pharisee prior to his conversion). In the context of his writings both in Corithians & in Romans,it's impossible that he was making any such distinctions as U allege, nor is there ANY proof that Paul is referring to so-called homosexual temple prostitution which has also been alleged, I encourage everyone here to check out the YT debate w/Dr Michael Brown
That White lady past-er doesn't understand. The way she wants to approach Homosexuality in the church Isolates people , deviating them further from God. And that Guy in all black is assuming that people in this lifestyle is going to stay in the lifestyle as if he doesn't believe that God can deliver them from this lifestyle thou His love. Another thing I noticed is that same man is wearing an Idol( the cross) around his neck. So looks like he needs to clean his house before he checks others.
@jeweljgemini I don't think the the white woman was dealing with how to address the issue, so much as she was dealing with the way in which we label things. The current culture of the church is one that does not label sin as sin. We see it and ignore it, and say "we all do it" so somehow minimize it; which does not aid in living a life of victory and deliverance. I totally agree. I think that everyone was in agreement, though. The issue should be dealt with in love and understanding.
It was in response to a question sent to the host for discussion. This facilitated by Bishop Greg Davis and included Bishop Micheal Pitts of Toledo, COGIC Bishop Brandon Porter of Memphis, Pastor Cheryl Brady now in metro Dallas, Pastor Darrell Scott of Cleveland Heights, OH, and Bishop Iona Locke
Haha, when I want to elminate insensitivity and judgement on an issue - it really helps, I think, to call it a plague and an epidemic. And it helps to do so more than once.
It is refreshing to see dialog taking place about discovering how to minister and reach out to those who have been alienated for so very long. I continue to seek opportunities to share what Jesus Christ has done for me.
God is reaching homosexuals and He is speaking to His entire family of believers so that we recognize that His love is extended to ALL sinners.

Why is the only emphasis placed on HOMOSEXUALITY? We should discuss ALL sexual sins.
