I watched the documentary on the Bluff Creek Patterson Bigfoot and the guy said they had weapons but were hesitant to shoot.....BULLSHIT.....If I was packing a 30-06 and saw this creature, You better believe i'm shooting.......until there is a body, blood, a head or what ever, there will always be doubters.....that's a fact!!!! The skeptics also have a problem in explaining why, if this is such a 'bad suit', professors with long backgrounds like Krantz or Meldrum would say this footage - this footage - is a real Sasquatch. And not say it about some other footage. The Patterson footage it is, but why if so bad... If suit, doesn't make sense that experts knowing their primate anatomy says good here. It's filmed in clear daylight, nothing hides or obscures the object here...seems to me skeptics have serious problems...

Ive seen special effects and costume makers from hollywood, they watched this film of the Patterson bigfoot and they said it would be very difficult to re-create a costume of that calibre even today. Back in the 1960's when this was filmed, they said no one in the business could do anything like that. They said look at the tv shows and movies of that time, the costumes were terrible and anyone could tell they were fake. Look how all the muscles move and react, you can't fake that in the 1960's

Vids are difficult to fake convincingly because of human anatomy, that's what always give us away and why only so very little bigfootage can be considered authentic. Like the mentioned. Most everything else is fake, which is why they mostly show a few seconds of shaky video of some guy suited up moving behind trees or something. Always covered by objects to disguise the shape and movements, had they been out in the open like Patty we'd easily see them as fakes. Easy to make hard to convince.

Also, there are nearly 1500 bigfoot sightings PER YEAR in washington state. And 3000 in all, in North america. I just found one web sight that boasts nearly 4000 in the U.S. alone. I found another sight that claims that there may be as many as 2000 bigfoot creatures in Washington state alone. If that is the case, why can't any legitimate researchers find even one. Mountain gorillas number less than 800 and can be found easily within 147,000 square miles of Uganda.

I'm very confused by your two statements komodoman... "videos mean little because its just to easy to fake" or "Videos are really difficult to fake though" which is it? You say that the most convincing evidence would be teeth, hair, bones, blood etc. I would very much agree with that. But in any of my research, I have never come across any SCIENTIFIC findings of bigfoot DNA.
@monstermaker40 From my own point of view, it doesn't matter how easy or difficult it is to fake a video of anything "paranormal". Even if they are legit, no one accepts it anyway. Few researchers are able to spend the time that might be required to search for these creatures in the way they should be. What do we have but a few groups of people here and there that can spend maybe a night or two before they have to leave? And when they do find something, it's not taken seriously anyway.
Yes. Videos are really difficult to fake though, only three I know of are absolutely real until I see otherwise presented they are PGF, Freeman, Marble Mountain. All genuine Sasquatches I'd say, I can smell fakes a mile away, they bear all the signs of being real, apart from their bodily evidence; no wild camera shakes or cuts or object obscured by trees, etc. That's all signs to look for revealing the bluffs out there, like Hoffman, that Colorado Patty butt imitation, Redwoods possibly, etc.
@komodoman true, there are a lot of complexities that would be giveaways if they were hoaxes in PGF (of course), Marble Mountain (lots of time filming, height, behavior, walking dynamics, anatomy-proportions, etc), and Freeman (twin of PGF w/ posture, sagital crest, movement, etc, footprint seen by spring, and 2 bigfoot seen- one being hoisted up).
theres only 2 things going for bigfoot- a yeti hair that tested as an unknown large primate in china- and a recording that captured an unrecognized primate in vancouver island b.c that didnt fit any known primate- other than that videos mean little because its just to easy to fake or to hard to capture good footage- scientiftic evidence is the only proof- hair blood teeth remains or capture- the possibility exists

So the BF believers can have their encounters (Hundreds now going by various BF forums) and get it on film, audio tape, catch "eye-shine" of "something" at night, track the thing and find "evidence" of it's interaction with it's environment BUT none of you can get a good picture of a real one because it "is one step ahead of us at all times"? That isn't just ridiculous, it is also insulting. That is not how proof of fact works and you know it. A 40 year old clip of a guy in a suit is not enough.
@digglyda It doesn't really matter how good of a photo anyone gets. They will always be disputed. We could have an authentic Bigfoot video with the beast practically waving at the camera and it won't matter. Only in recent times do we have cameras in our cell phones that we carry with us wherever we go, that wasn't true a few years ago. It doesn't matter how long we've had certain equipment, not everyone owns it or lugs it along with them.

Excellent portable Photographic gear has been available for something like 100 years now, with superb Cameras around since the end of WWII. They claim that PGF is "perfect" and insist that BF encounters happen fairly often ...but then claim that remoteness of habitat and "fear/shock" prevent anyone getting a chance of a clearly defined picture of a massive ape that just loves appearing in blurred or grainy images? A Pity Gimlin wasn't carrying a Kodak or Canon instead of a Winchester?
Anatomically hoax no. There are so few pics cos we've had such crappy cameras up until quite recently, couple that with the few BFs and the vastness of the PNW and the few people hiking around out there, and their apparent shock and surprise and fear during an encounter. Very good explanation just there. Plus these being's obvious intelligence and fastness. Most people would shit their pants and think safety first, that's just the way it is. I've seen pictures of Bears, Racoons, Wolves, Coyotes, Moose/Elk, Caribou, Cougars/Puma's, Lynx & Bobcats and Beavers. Good clear undeniable pictures clearly showing the animal they purport to depict. The cat's especially are extremely elusive but there are hundreds of perfect photo's of them available. I've even seen a beautiful picture of a Tiger taken by a photorapher moments before it killed him. Bigfoot does not exist THAT is why no such pictures exist of it. The "best" we have is PGF: HOAX

@39tommyboy 1. Most encounters are by chance, we don't generally know where they will happen. To trap, we would need to be fairly certain of where they are living. If we had that level of knowledge, we would have good video, photo and physical evidence by now.2. They are reported to be smart and travel in groups. A trap would have to be exceptional to fool and hold a creature of this size. You would still have the risk a companion would free it. Try trapping sometime, it's not easy.

The skeptics also have a problem in explaining why, if this is such a 'bad suit', professors with long backgrounds like Krantz or Meldrum would say this footage - this footage - is a real Sasquatch. And not say it about some other footage. The Patterson footage it is, but why if so bad... If suit, doesn't make sense that experts knowing their primate anatomy says good here. Ive seen special effects and costume makers from hollywood, they watched this film of the Patterson bigfoot and they said it would be very difficult to re-create a costume of that calibre even today. Back in the 1960's when this was filmed, they said no one in the business could do anything like that. They said look at the tv shows and movies of that time, the costumes were terrible and anyone could tell they were fake. Look how all the muscles move and react, you can't fake that in the 1960's

Vids are difficult to fake convincingly because of human anatomy, that's what always give us away and why only so very little bigfootage can be considered authentic. Like the mentioned. Most everything else is fake, which is why they mostly show a few seconds of shaky video of some guy suited up moving behind trees or something. Always covered by objects to disguise the shape and movements, had they been out in the open like Patty we'd easily see them as fakes. Easy to make hard to convince.

Also, there are nearly 1500 bigfoot sightings PER YEAR in washington state. And 3000 in all, in North america. I just found one web sight that boasts nearly 4000 in the U.S. alone. I found another sight that claims that there may be as many as 2000 bigfoot creatures in Washington state alone. If that is the case, why can't any legitimate researchers find even one. Mountain gorillas number less than 800 and can be found easily within 147,000 square miles of Uganda.

Few researchers are able to spend the time that might be required to search for these creatures in the way they should be. What do we have but a few groups of people here and there that can spend maybe a night or two before they have to leave? And when they do find something, it's not taken seriously anyway.

Yes. Videos are really difficult to fake though, only three I know of are absolutely real until I see otherwise presented they are PGF, Freeman, Marble Mountain. All genuine Sasquatches I'd say, I can smell fakes a mile away, they bear all the signs of being real, apart from their bodily evidence; no wild camera shakes or cuts or object obscured by trees, etc. That's all signs to look for revealing the bluffs out there, like Hoffman, that Colorado Patty butt imitation, Redwoods possibly, etc.

Excellent portable Photographic gear has been available for something like 100 years now, with superb Cameras around since the end of WWII. They claim that PGF is "perfect" and insist that BF encounters happen fairly often ...but then claim that remoteness of habitat and "fear/shock" prevent anyone getting a chance of a clearly defined picture of a massive ape that just loves appearing in blurred or grainy images? I've seen pictures of Bears, Racoons, Wolves, Coyotes, Moose/Elk, Caribou, Cougars/Puma's, Lynx & Bobcats and Beavers. Good clear undeniable pictures clearly showing the animal they purport to depict. The cat's especially are extremely elusive but there are hundreds of perfect photo's of them available. I've even seen a beautiful picture of a Tiger taken by a photorapher moments before it killed him. Bigfoot does not exist THAT is why no such pictures exist of it. The "best" we have is PGF: HOAX

If we had that level of knowledge, we would have good video, photo and physical evidence by now.2. They are reported to be smart and travel in groups. A trap would have to be exceptional to fool and hold a creature of this size. You would still have the risk a companion would free it. Try trapping sometime, it's not easy.

Shooting one is a bad idea since they're not even animals as we'd like them to be but 'people', at least more in witness evidence points to that, and new species aren't killed anymore to be proven real. hillbilly, you'd have to be close enough to see that it wasn't a guy in a suit...and then you'd see it's not an animal either...and then you wouldn't shoot. Even if you did shoot, you'd risk getting your head torn off by 'it' or its mates... There is no smoking gun to be found anywhere, no suit or test footage/candid photos from production to show it's a hoax. the bluff creek one is the only one that looks real and creepy sort of . If it is a suit , its bloddy well made and they would of practiced for week strying to get the movements right . They tried to reinact the bluff creek one with the best costumes around and couldnt come close to replicating it .
