My Ball Pythons are very content. They get all the food/fresh water they want, plenty of exercise, a nice warm place to lay and a cool side to relax, and don't have to worry about being eaten by larger animals. The only instincts a snake has is to survive..which it has a much better chance in captivity. Also, you've been scolded on this already, but they grow up eating mice/rats and maybe as "large" adults can eat baby chickens...one couldn't swallow my hand, let alone my body.

Just so y'all know, the "breeding" that's being done by these "designer snake breeders" is straight inbreeding. They're purposely breeding brothers to sisters, mothers to brothers, sisters to fathers, etc. This pretty much boils down to animal cruelty. Breeding unhealthy animals just to make a buck off the pretty ones. Ball pythons are great pets. Who the fuck cares what color they are?
