That is actually a pretty well though out kit, I was making a list of things to add, but you suddenly pulled out the athletic tape, the needle and thread, even the dryer lint, lol, making my list useless because you had thought of them.
I might suggest a compression bandage, but you can use the coffee filters for that. SO all I can add is
do you realize that statistics say that 85-95% of people that get caught in survival situations, DIE from exposure (hypo/hyperthermia) and dehydration???
where is your Cover??? where is your Container to boil and carry water??? You might want to consider adding a Combustion device that will still light even when wet like a firesteel and a more adequate Cutting tool...check out my 5 C'c of survival video....
grab a firesteel mate, it'll last a lot longer than matches. Also, perhaps put an emergency reflective blanket in there? It can be a great signaller, a shelter and a blanket. They are super-small and cheap as well... your local camping place should stock them.
Very nice kit. I like how you have a decent size container, which doubles as a water container or eating container. You could add a pocket folding stove which would fit in your kit nicely. See my stove videos. A small metal cup could double as a cooking pot.
Only addition I'd make would be to try and find some type of cooking pot. Maybe some type of can, short and fat, like a beef stew can. Or one of those old boy scout small pots..
bleach... after the bleach is 6 months old, it begins to lose its effectiveness quite rapidly. even if you keep it in a closed bleach jug. razor... cut a branch??? papaer clips... y not just hooks. good kit. have you tested for the weekend. alot of stuff u probably wouldnt use. test, revise, repeat. good hiking to ya
@Redwingnut198346 you can use a razor to cut a branch but it is very ineffective youd have to place it on the branch and then hammer it with a rock or something
you actually think your gonna cut a branch with a razor blade?? I'm not saying that it's impossible, but come on, it would take a day or two at least to go a couple inches without hurting your fingers in some way.
i have the same container! it came in a pack. got them as a free gift when i went to a casino.. lol

1. replace the rope with para-cord
2. a fire steel(lasts forever)
But not a bad kit, one of the best I have seen.
