And Maggie's doctor told the studio that she is not going back to work..until he said that it was all right..he also said"If she doesn't sue the studio for wreckless endangerment...she's a damn fool!"..The studio finally stopped calling her home and learned to shut the hell up.She returned to work on the film later.

According to the big 50th Anniversary"Wizard Of Oz"book..written by Messers:Fricke and Scarfone..The heads of MGM kept calling Maggie Hamilton's home to find out..when she could return to work..she ignored the calls for a time..but when they got to be abusive.Her Dr. took the call.
