With the board game, the door to a room counted as a space, you had to land on the door to be "in the room".. hence the reason for them not going into the room here when he stood infront of the door.. he was still once space off.
A strategy I always used in the real game that worked well was when you do your guess guess 2 things that you already have in your hand to single out the single things. That way you can trick the other people into thinking that you dont have those in your hand so they will mess up. Its hard to explain but trust me it works really well.
...the pc game was funny though cuz when its solved the murderer gets thrown in jail & each person does something different when it shows them get locked in the cell like Plum falls in the toilet (or something with the toilet)
...but the funniest thing is that i think i got that game from a cereal box!
this is hilarious....i wish i knew before that this game existed lol..... i had a pc game of clue and it had some creepy visuals like the shadow of a person hanging when u suggest the rope, the gun shooting at you, some lightning & thunder when it was loading ...all those things & the other creepy things i can't remember used to scare my lil brother & sister so much that i couldnt play the game in front of them...
I actually really love SNES version of the game. It's got a nice classic feel to it.
I did notice you made a one or two mistakes in the review though. In the Clue boardgame, you are only supposed to role 1 die. Now, I am aware that some later editions came with 2 dice, so I guess your protests about the one die can be excused.
However, one thing for sure is that being on a space in front of a door does NOT mean automatic entry. You actually need to roll into the room.
Awesome video game. I never knew how to play it and so I never won.
But what are you teaching us that we couldn't learn by playing? You just seem to be pointing out the obvious. Like the board game and the dice and your rolls. We can see all that. We can read too, amazing huh?
Well that's your opinion, and I respect that. I went a little over the top on this review. I think the game is ok, what I don't like about this game is that they decided that clue wasn't complicated enough for a video game, and that they needed to change the rules.
Yeah, most youtubers are usually either fanboys or think their opinion is god. The reason they are opinions is because they aren't facts; others can disagree with them and have a different one.
Like someone else pointed out before me, if you play on the detective level they don't give out random clues. You should play it on that level, it's a lot of fun. Also, this game is a blast to play with a group of people, more so than the actual board game in my opinion.
I would have been happy to field that one if anyone asked, and I might still have to if I actually get enough comments to make this one go onto page 2, because then someone might ask without reading all of the comments. I also wouldn't call someone that hasn't heard a song that you have a noob.
Actually, I didn't figure it out, but I got close. I had the person and the place, but I forgot that the candlestick was in the conservatory, instead of the wrench that I chose.
where to download this game?

I'm willing to bet money that Clue is played with only one die and that you have to roll into a room.

It's more like the board game on the detective difficulty. It won't give the random facts in that mode.
JMaxwell85 2 years ago
really, I didn't know that. I never upped the difficulty because I usually lost on normal.
Ender1555 2 years ago
@Ender1555 I just played it and it gives the random facts on Detective on both SNES and Genesis

You know what is odd? You roll one die even though it sounds like two.

Does each weapon and person really get their own theme music? I hadn't noticed.

To be fair, you can't assume that everyone knows how to play clue. I know people that don't.
