  • Try some bigger strings and more gain on that amp.

  • THIS IS best texas flood so far .....im in the proscess of learning it right now ,great stuff ..iwas wondering if you could teach the phrasing in between the singing....thankx

  • @bokeifis1 hey thank you so much!!! I will put in on the to-do list but warning...is it SUPER long :) So many tunes to do!

  • Wonderful Job Sir!!

I have watched a bunch of your vids and I now have a new found respect for SRV and you are solely responsible .

I was aware of his playing but could never understand the fascination with him as I never saw him as a real innovator.

I stand corrected. His approach to the instrument is a study in and of itself.

    Thank you

  • I was just wondering how you get that sound? any pedals or what? thanks

  • @WesMacGruber Actually going directly into LOGIC PRO and using the amp desginer in there...distortion and reverb only

  • Very instructive. I never even thought of playing 1/2 chords.... My nickname for what you said Stevie was doing, as not to get in the bass players way.... Very cool.

  • @mcarroll1031 "half chords" are essential! Nice, thanks for the good words, peace

  • nice work, man :D you got the groove!

  • Much to enjoy, glad to see you putting it out there for folks.

  • This is fantastic - it sets a new standard for on-line teaching - where others have integrated tab with the video - none is as clear and well done as is this. riffs are broken down into manageable licks - which creates a wonderful learning experience. i look forward to more of the same. Many Thanks.

  • @aeh0417 thanks! stop by facebook for the tabs and jam track...

  • Great stuff - you nailed it...

  • Ahhh.. so that's what a professionally made video lesson looks like. I have a guitar like that but I can't make it sound the way you do yet.

    Thanks for the effort.

  • @LowFlyer1200 thank you!

  • thanks!

  • fantastic lesson. you manage to give the technical info on what is happening in a way that doesn't feel like a lot of complex theory...most either avoid that altogether or are too heavy handed. Your videos are the perfect blend. thanks so much.
