I'm deciding between a d-45 and d-42.

A whole lot of people tell me the d-42 sounds way better because of the foward shifted braces wich produces a louder sound, more bass more mids and highs.

A very balanced tone aswell. more versatile as an instrument I'm told.

I'v never played either, but have played a d-41 wich everyone tells me it's no different than a 45, just way less bling. best guitar I'v ever played, hard to believe theres something better.

...not to mention the 42 is 3600$ cheaper

Martin guitars are the best guitars in the entire world. Seriously. I mean, I would like a Taylor or a Guild or something eventually, but it would be like cheating on a spouse for me. I would feel so... wrong. I'd probably call C.F. Martin IV to confess my sin. "Yes, Mr. Martin I... coveted another brand today... I mean, I am pretty ashamed, but... please forgive me"
