Wacraft did the same thing with their trailers, look at some of the original trailers..

you'll see massive battles, when in the real game your fighting one boar for about 2 mins,

so i hope darkfall can deliver on this.

It delivers for sure. Last night my city was attacked by a bunch of Mahirim and humans. We fought them off and gathered a war party of allies. After a short ride to their city, we snuck behind the walls and steam rolled them. 15 people got 3-7 kills each, and they had about 45 people in town.
