  • @Ci "The Sabbath day was sanctified from CREATION as a sign between God & His true followers"

Says who Ciaran, The 7th day at Creation, did not have any instruction to it...the Sabbath day given to Moses in Ex. 16 does..consider thou, did God go back the next day to the Job of Creation...No, he did not..the fact that you have to means that you are not resting as God rested..so that 7th day Rest could mean a TIME of rest..blessed from Creation that would signify CHRIST

  • The Sabbath keeping is not a requirement of the NC, so if one chooses it out of their love for Christ it is a very Good thing...when it is used to bash others, an instrument to condemn others and be used as a reason for them not being saved, or that they are of the devil...it just got legalistic...even wicked if you ask me, to suggest that a person whom Christ gave up His life for is not saved because of your own standard of righteousness...

  • @C "The Sabbath keeping is not a requirement of the NC" Says who? You? Mark? The Pope? Constantine? The Sabbath day was sanctified from CREATION as a sign between God & His true followers! Those born of God will honor the Sabbath day! History shows the early Church was keeping the Sabbath until about 135 AD when Hadrian made it ILLEGAL after the Jewish revolts! Is keeping Lev 18:23 not a requirement for the N.C either & is bashing professing believers who break it legalistic?

  • @ci that would signify Christ and the REST he would make available to us...that would actually cause us to REST as He did..those that enter THAT REST, rest from their work of sin...forever ..finally resting as Christ rest...which is Gods plan of Salvation..

  • @game..are we required to do them to be saved, absolutely not, we are required to do them because we are saved...my brother visit the sick and mentally retarded and wash their clothe..does he use this to say everybody should do the same..No, if we freely do something out of our love of Christ, why then are we bashing other who do not do the same...that is when it becomes legalistic..that is what I am against...

  • @game I am saying we are not to do things out of love for God, I would never say that...this is what I am saying,..we now have a New Nature, that hates sin and a cleansed conscience and the Holy Spirit to guide us into doing what is naturally written on our hearts to do..so we CANNOT sin naturally, because we hate sin...so what is left we are to pursue loving one another and to freely do good deeds, because we freely received salvation through the righteous works of Christ..

  • @game What scripture are you using to say if we obey God’ its legalism, and why do you clam keeping the Sabbath is doing our own works? when it is neither our own idea, but God’s command. or in any way to be considered work.’

  • @ljberryify Please read again what I said, You may have missed this part.

(Obedience from the heart out of love of Christ does not imply legalism.)

And the context of what I said, read again. Ps: anything out side the context of Christ-cross. see again.

    God Bless

  • @Bepps100 "I am not ashamed to suffer, because Christ also suffered.'

You are piling all your chips on the chance that you are going to be here "in that day" and THEN you will turn to Jesus Christ as your savior, and THEN you will start giving to God, and THEN you will starting worhsipping Christ.

As I have said before, the SIGN of you GOING will come before the SIGN of His COMING by way of pain in your chest radiation down your left arm.

And then it will be too late.

  • @Bepps100 "I am not ashamed to suffer, because Christ also suffered."

If you have not built a life of turning to Christ, loving and worshipping Christ, going to church, giving to the church, what makes you think when "that day" comes you will be able to suddenly change and do what you have refused to do all your life.

Will you suddenly have money in your budget to give, time in your week to convocate, and the desire to love and worhsip Christ?

If it ain't happenin' now, it won't then!

  • @mark

    Yep thats true.

But GENTILES who REPENT and believe God will also be excepted,

Your just trying to avoid Gods punishment.

Ac. 26:20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the GENTILES ALSO,

I preached that they should REPENT and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

The Elect ALL HAVE GODS HOLY SPIRIT.

ONCE THAT HAPPENS, God does not distinguish between Israel, or Gentile.

  • @Bepps100 "ONCE THAT HAPPENS, God does not distinguish between Israel, or Gentile"

All epistles speak of Gentiles, Greeks, Israel, Judah. The Book of Revelation speaks of the Court of the Gentiles in the Temple.

"The Elect ALL HAVE GODS HOLY SPIRIT"

Being the elect does not mean you believe. Those who believe have the holy spirit.

  • @Bepps100 "I preached that they should REPENT, turn to God & prove their repentance by their deeds."

That is not what you preach at all. You preach that ALL ISRAEL will be saved without repentance and without believing on Jesus Christ.

You only preach repentance for others, and you claim NO ONE will be saved BUT Israel. YOu are an elitist, who claims that you will be saived just because you CLAIM to be of Israel.

Don't start talkink like a Christian NOW unless you have become one

  • Thank you Cookie & Mark Let the word of the Messiah dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Col 3:16

  • Have a wonderful Sabbath everybody!

  • @ljberryify have a blessed Sabbath LJ

  • @ljberryify Blessed sabbath to you L.J. I hope you are well.

  • @Bepps100 "So was Paul."

I figured our resident Paul denyer would slither out from under his rock and happily report on the many transgressions of his archrival.

The difference between Paul and Calvin is that Paul had an epipheny on the way to Demascus, REPENTED, and became the greatest missionary for the Gospel of Jesus Christ this world has ever known.

John Calvin never recanted of his transgressions, and was rather proud of burning Michael Servetus at the stake because he disagreed.

  • @Bepps100 You might find it interesting the charge against this man that brought about his condemnation by Calvin as a Heretic.

Michael Servetus refused to call Jesus Christ the "Eternal Son" and called him instead "the Son of the Eternal God"

So, you have been taught well, Bepps. As you forever preach Christ as eternally the Son "the man of sorrows, aquainted with grief, meek and lowly"

And you reject the Son of the Eternal God. The Son, who IS God, glorified and to be worhipped

  • @mark0454 " Face it. You wake up in the middle of the night to see what I have posted"

this is hilarious, but you what, he really does ...AND SO DO YOU mark...lol lol you love each other!!!....in a weird sort of way, that is the beginning of a good thing

  • @Bepps100 "You are not chosen, because to be chosen you have to REPENT of breaking Gods Commandments,"

Nope. In order to have been chosen, I would have had to be Israel. Israel is the only Chosen prople. And Israel is God's chosen people whether they are in obedience or not.

  • @m "In order to have been chosen, I would have had to be Israel. Israel is the only Chosen people"

"God has CHOSEN the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, & God has CHOSEN the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty"1Cr1:27

"ELECT according to the FOREKNOWLEDGE of God the Father, THROUGH SANCTIFICATION of the SPIRIT unto OBEDIENCE & SPRINKLING of the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST: Grace unto you, peace, be multiplied."1Pt 1:2

    Is Peter a CALVINIST?

  • @ciaranofseir I am not arguing against predestination, election, adoption, etc. They are clearly spoken of in scripture many times. What I am saying is that ISRAEL is the one that is chosen, elect, adopted, predestined, foreknown and not us/Gentiles/Christian.

When these descriptive words are used, the passage is talking to or about Israel, not us.

I Cor 1.27 is talking about THINGS, and is also talking to Jews

I Peter 1.1 ...to the STRANGER SCATTERED..Jews are only described this way

  • @m You very CONVENIENTLY IGNORED Col 3:11!

"Where there is NEITHER Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but CHRIST IS IN ALL, & in all.Put on therefore, AS THE ELECT OF GOD, holy and beloved" Col3:11

It is VERY obvious Paul is addressing ALL THE CHURCH, as he is saying there is NEITHER "Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision" in the Church, but Christ is in ALL "therefore, AS THE ELECT OF GOD holy & beloved, put on tender mercies"

  • @ciaranofseir You very CONVENIENTLY IGNORED Col 3:11

No this is a very good verse to point out Paul is telling the Colossians to put on bowels of mercy, kindness longsuffering etc just as the elect of God have who are holy and beloved.

I am happy for you to discuss any verse you find that you think is directed toward the church, and we may find an exception.

However, it will not prove Calvinism, and it will not negate the designation of chosen, predestined, etc as speaking of Israel.

  • @mark I have shown you many verses written to ALL the members of the Gentile churches, referring to those members as ELECT OF GOD! You just keep insisting (regardless of context & passages immediately before & after, showing Gentiles are being addresed) that whenever he refers to Church members as the elect, he is ONLY speaking to Jews! How could I disprove this unless he actually said "Gentile elect of God"..& even if he did, you could say he was addressing Gentiles who were HALF Jew!

  • @ciaranofseir "I have shown you many verses written to ALL the members of the Gentile churches, referring to those members as ELECT OF GOD"

No, you haven't. And you have not read my posts and compared them against the verses I have given.

"Gentile elect of God" Even that would not do it.

    cont.

Paul may have been addressing a church, but the church was mad up of Jews who converted i.e. the passage in Thessalonians.

  • @mark "Gentile elect of God" Even that would not do it."

Yes I have showed you many verses where Paul was addressing the WHOLE CHURCH made up of both Gentiles & Jews & Paul in Col 3:11 was making clear there are NO Gentiles or Jews or Circumcised or uncircumcised in the Church but that Christ is in ALL! Then .. he goes on to say; THEREFOR as ELECT OF GOD.. addressing CIRCUMCISED .. UNCIRCUMCISED .. GREEK and Jews as One BODY!

What would a verse need to say to PROVE Gentiles are elect?

  • @ciaranofseir What would a verse need to say to PROVE Gentiles are elect?

Impossible. It would make God a liar for what he said throughout the OT.

Col 3.12 just move a phrase closer to what it is suppose to emphasise

(all those people in v 11) (12) Put on therefore bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness, meekness etc as (if you were) the elect of God, (who are) holy and beloved.

Who did God designate as, and call holy, elect, and beloved-Israel

  • @m Paul was addressing the whole Body & he was saying there ARE NO circumcised or uncircumcised or Jews or Gentiles in the Church! He was saying Christ is in ALL & he was calling the whole church the ELECT OF GOD! It is also OBVIOUS when Jesus referred to the elect .. he was referring to those who would be saved.. not just Jews!

"great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His ELECT from the four winds," Mat 24:31 This is when believers meet Christ in the air! 1 Thess 4:17

  • @ciaranofseir "and they will gather together His ELECT from the four winds," Mat 24:31 This is when believers meet Christ in the air! 1 Thess 4:17"

You are reasoning like a drunk priest again-"line upon line" Stay in Matt 24.31. The previous verse (30) answers your question "and all the TRIBES of the earth shall mourn"

Matt 24 depicts the return of Christ and the gathering of his ELECT-Israel.

I Thes 4.17 has nothing to do with this passage.

  • @mark,

"And He will send His angels with a great SOUND OF A TRUMPET, and they will gather together His elect " Matt 24:31

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the TRUMPET OF GOD. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air" 1 Thes 4:16

Being caught up in the clouds, is the gathering of the elect at the LAST TRUMP!

  • @ciaranofseir 'Being caught up in the clouds,is the gathering of the elect at the LAST TRUMP!'

Nope. You have simply got to stay in the passage to understand who He is talking to. The Bible NEVER,NEVER, NEVER says that God GATHERS believers.

Gathered to where? For what? However all over the OT & NT in every prophecy God PROMISES that that he would GATHER all the TRIBES (v 30) from the four winds of earth.

Why would God be concerned that the church is scattered and must be gathered?

  • @mark At the last trump is when the dead in Christ are resurrected from all over the world .. the dead in Christ and believers who are alive, will be gathered together from the four corners of the earth to meet Christ in the air!

  • @ciaranofseir "the four corners of the earth to meet Christ in the air"

How can I explain a statemen made up of 4 verses from 3 books of the Bible. If you will stay with the passage in Matt, it explains who the elect are.

If you will stay in John 6, it explains man's will vs. God's sovereignty

However, there is nothing I can do to help a "drunk priest" who explains the Bible "here a little there a little.

  • @mark

"For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." Mat24:24

"And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days."Mark13:22

So you're saying that is ONLY for Jews God shortens the tribulation, but not for believers? And that it is only Jewish believers, that if it were possible would be deceived by the antichrist, but can't be?

  • @ciaranofseir "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive,if possible, even the elect.Mat24:24

"And unless the Lord had shortened those days,no flesh would be saved;but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose,He shortened the days.Mark13:22"

Kinda makes you wanna analyze who is on earth during the tribulation, and who is not. And who and when is it exactly that we meet him in the air?

    Who are prophets given to?

    Enquiring minds want to know.

  • @ciaranofseir "here a little there a little"

This is the"here a little there a little way to teach the Bible and defend it:

Judas went out and hanged himself. Then said Jesus unto them; Go and do likewise.

The Bible said this! It is true! I can prove it! We should believe it! What's wrong with it?

It came from two seperate verses (Matt 27.5 and Lk 10.37)

The Bible isn't written that way, and it can not be defended that way. That is the kind of stuff you are asking me to explain.

  • @mark That is not what I am doing AT ALL! You are taking two verses out of context about different things & I am comparing passages about the same thing, the last TRUMP & the elect being gathered up to meet Christ in the air! In both verses the TRUMPET sounds! it is clear in both passages, this is happening WHEN Christ returns at the end of the age, at the SAME TIME.. so NO .. your example is not even close to being the same! You won't accept what the scriptures are most LIKELY saying!

  • @ciaranofseir "You won't accept what the scriptures are most LIKELY saying"

I accept EXACTLY what Matt 24 is saying

I accept EXACTLY what I Thes 4 is saying

What I don't accept is stringing several verses together to DENY what Matt 24 says. (I), ME, MARK is trying to keep YOU in context.

Matt 24 has a chronology. 24.29 speaks of the return of Christ to earth AND the angels that GATHER Israel, the elect, the tribes, who mourn. Does this sound like believers?

  • @ciaranofseir "At the last trump is when the dead in Christ are resurrected"

    -Does not say last trump

    -Only the angels come

-Prophecy speaks of an angel gathering Israel

-v 30 speaks of the tribes

-In the chronology of Matt 24, this is after the tribulation and before the 1000 yr Millenn

-The bible never says anything about beleivers being gathered

Scripture explains itself best within the passage.

  • @ciaranofseir "Gentile elect of God

If throughout a 1200 page Bible, God has referred to Israel as chosen, elect, predestined, foreknown, etc, it would take more than a couple verses to change this characteristic of their identity.

It was the antisemitism of Calvin, and his Replacement Theology that placed the church in all passages that were directed at Israel. Chosen, elect, predestined, etc was part of that Replacement Theology.

  • @mark0454 Hi Mark. What I am seeing some here r stepping out of the bounds.

Legalism manifest to cling to any doctrine that is above its place. If anything supersedes Christ to Christ is manifested in faith, hope & love, anymore then that it becomes heretical, it becomes legalistic. Obedience from the heart out of love of Christ does not imply legalism. but works for salvation does.

    God Bless

  • @ciaranofseir

"Replacement Theology" begins with the premise that God has cast off Israel" However, since there are so many passages AFTER the crucifiction that favorably refer to Israel as chosen, elect, predestined, blessed, holy, etc Calvin merely stated that the church is now Israel

And all those identifying characteristic used throught the bible to describe Israel, now are attached to the church.

SDAs and most reformed churches hold to the error of Replacement Theology

  • @mark In the O.T Israel was God's ONLY Chosen people! God has not cast off Israel, but has GRAFTED Gentiles in, and they will be co heirs with Christ! The Gentiles who are grafted in are as MUCH elect & chosen as Israel.. and Israelite's who do not accept Christ still have the WRATH OF GOD ABIDING ON THEM! Jesus was clear many from the east & west would SIT at Abraham's table while the CHILDREN of the kingdom would be CAST OUT where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth! Matt 8:10-12

  • @ciarano "God has CHOSEN the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, & God has CHOSEN the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty"1Cr1:27"

What does this passage of scripture means to you Ciaran?

  • @C It means God looks down at MOST of the great & mighty & passes them by! They are proud, self serving.. full of themselves & WICKED; & he has no pity of them.. He LEAVES them that way..He leaves them PROUD & VAIN .. to DIE that way & BE DAMNED! It means God CHOOSES those who are humble & poor.. weak .. & by the worlds standards NOTHING... and he brings them to repentance & gives them grace.. to bring to NOTHING the great & mighty of the world.. who will mostly ALL be DAMNED!

  • @ciara Paul wasn't humble, poor nor weak.. God armed him with a message of the Doctrine of the Gospel, that was considered foolishness to the Greeks..but Paul armed with only that foolishness spoke to kings, governors etc., and debated with the Chief Priests, Pharisees and Scribes who considered themselves wise in Gods eyes..

  • @Cook Paul said;

"in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness—2Cor11:27

"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2Cor12:10

"the foolishness of God is wiser than men," 1Cor1:25

    James wrote'

"But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” James4:6

  • @c Lets see what the scriptures has to say about what paul is referring to:

1cor1:... but to preach the gospel—NOT WITH WISDOM and ELOQUENCE, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

CHRIST CRUCIFIED IS GOD'S POWER AND WISDOM 18 FOR THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS FOOLISHNESS to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: “I will destroy the WISDOM of the WISE; the INTELLIGENCE of the INTELLIGENT I will frustrate

  • @Cook Yes that's all true.. and your point is? What I am saying is; God resists the proud and mighty of the world .. and gives grace to the humble.. to those of low esteem in the worlds eyes.. USUALLY .. but not always! Sometimes He may bring some great person in the worlds eyes to repentance too .. but this does not happen all that often.. it is USUALLY poor and humble people He brings to repentance .. while leaving the proud and the rich in their sins, to die in their sins!

  • @ciarano "Yes that's all true.. and your point is? What I am saying is; God resists"

You used this statement of scripture"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong" to support your claim that God has also refers to the gentiles as CHOSEN, I am telling you that is not the context of the scripture..for God is not saying we are fools, but that the message of Salvation, Christ Crucified, is foolishness TO THE WORLD

  • @ciarano 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Paul was not referring to himself as a person, but to the Gospel, and how it was being perceived by individual who thought themselves to be wise, philosophical, intelligent...

Paul CHOOSE to live the way he lived...for the sake of the gospel

  • @mark

No one will be saved without repenting.

The 144,000 of Israel who are the first fruits and will have already repented, BEFORE the land, sea, and trees are harmed.

    Like I have.

That's why they will be sealed at that time.

The rest of the house of Israel will not repent until after they have suffered much distress during the great tribulation.

Like you will, they will repent or die.

And they must prove their repentance by resisting the mark of the beast.

    From this tribulation will e

  • “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and NOT DO THE THINGS WHICH I SAY?" Luke 6:46

who were Christ speaking to...Mat 15:24 He answered, "I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel."...those are the chosen who were given the COMMANDMENTS OF GOD..could Christ be speaking to the gentiles about Commandments they never got?

rom 3:19 NOW we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are UNDER THE LAW, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

  • the thing with works is, there is always another revelation of something else that one is required to do..a time, day, year..to keep..one ends up serving these things and forget the Lord..so even the way of Works is geared towards getting one so frustrated and want to give up..that they beg the Holy Spirit to help them..that is when He shows you the way of GRACE..so all road leads back to GRACE..except the lukewarm, they have the opportunity of running from one to the other..and cant be helped.

  • @Cookiez Luke warm professing believers are people like YOU & MOST protestants! They are carnal people who still are in love with the world & things in it, who have NEVER really repented & just keep saying they trust the finished work of Christ while living in the practice of open sin! To be HOT, you have to OBEY GOD & do the things Christ says & DO the will of the FATHER IN HEAVEN! Without works faith is DEAD! Faith is not based on works..but Godly works will COME from faith!

  • @ciarano This is why you abide in sin...it is because you bear the Mark of your father which is from the beginning of time...a liar and an accuser...you attack me about things your father tells you which are lies...but I speak to the things that you have wriiten...Christ Prophets got their information from the Almighty and so what they spoke was true...since from I have encountered your posts..you have lied..Thou shalt not lie..bear false witness..thou shalt not bear false witness.

  • why does the Spirit hide your eyes from understanding Grace if you have chosen Works, because he is not the author of confusion...nor will Jesus Christ share His Glory with any flesh..so if it is Christ it is so and if it is Works it is so..the scriptures are filled with God saying I have set before you life and death choose life...so by this we understand that BOTH are set before us..people like Ciaran who fuses both, are not doing a good thing ..you have to choose one way and pursue it ...

  • @Cook It is YOUR eyes that cannot understand what grace is! And you are RIGHT.. Jesus Christ is NOT the author of confusion & the millions of HERETICS running around committing abominable SIN & mixing IDOLATRY & filthy sun worship days of Satan with His worship ARE NOT HIS, they are ALL of SATAN every single ONE OF THEM! We can know who are His by FRUIT.. by whether they worship Him in SPIRIT & IN TRUTH without mixing devil worship in with worship of God! YOU ARE OF THE FLESH!

  • @ciarano You have placed your lying, hateful, wicked and malicious tongue above Gods truth...so Thou shalt not have any other Gods before me..according to these you have no right speaking to me about the Sabbath...for you have never kept it...

  • @Cooki " if it is Christ it is so and if it is Works it is so." What you are saying is if you try to mix obeying God with faith it is ADULTERY, so you should just have faith alone without works! meaning you DON'T HAVE TO OBEY GOD or do the things Christ SAYS!

“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and NOT DO THE THINGS WHICH I SAY?" Luke 6:46

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, BUT HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN." Mat 7:21

  • @ciarano show me one example in the Scriptures where someone was declared righteous, because of what they did...they were declared to have KEPT THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD (righteous) because of their belief in God...all you have to do is provide proof in scripture from Adam down who was declared righteous because of Works they have done...

  • @Cook I did not claim anyone will be declared righteous because of works they have done, but the EVIDENCE of being born of the Spirit and being declared righteous WILL BE BECOMING RIGHTEOUS & KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD and if this does not happen, you have NEVER BELIEVED & have NOT been declared righteous!

"let no one deceive you. He who PRACTICES RIGHTEOUSNESS is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins IS OF THE DEVIL" John 3:7

    You have to PRACTICE righteousness!

  • @mark

Here is what the Saints of God do.

Re. 14:12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who OBEY GOD'S COMMANDMENTS and remain FAITHFUL TO JESUS.

    Here is what you do.

YOU try to remain faithful to Jesus, WITHOUT OBEYING THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.

Now you'll post a thousand other things, and not even address OBEYING GOD'S COMMANDMENTS!

To get out of this you really have to TWIST THE SCRIPTURES, CHANGE GOD, CHANGE JESUS,

    and COMPLICATE A SIMPLE PASSAGE!

  • Comment removed

  • @Bepps100 "YOU try to remain faithful to Jesus, WITHOUT OBEYING THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD

remember now the scriptures are clear.....if we try to attain righteousness by our works then Grace is set aside.....so how can you understands that the Holy Spirit is able to do the Job of fulfilling the righteous requirements of the law through those who accepts Grace..if you choose the way of Works the Spirit has no choice but to show u all that is required to please God...it is not so with Grace..

  • @Bepps100...it is not so with Grace..for the very understanding of grace is hid from your heart, and you are unable to see it...

I do not post these because I think you will understand them, anymore than I can understand how you can believe that you can attain righteousness by your works..it is but that you may believe that it is worth asking the Holy Spirit about

romans 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] FREE from the law of sin and death

  • @Bepps100 "Now you'll post a thousand other things, and not even address OBEYING GOD'S COMMANDMENTS!"

I have heard it said that there are 180 commandments in the NT, We MUST obey all.

You say there are only 10. Now, who obeys the commandments??

    Matt 5:21-48, Matt 19.17-19, Mark 7.21, Rom 1.29-32, Rom 2.21-23, Rom 13.8,9, Col 3.5-23, I Cor 5.11. I Cor 6.9-10, Gal 5.19, Eph 4.19-32, Eph 5.3-5, I Tim 1.9-10, Rev 21.8, Rev 22.14-15, I Tim 4:1-4, II Tim 3.1-5, Titus 3.1-3, I John 5.21

  • @game

many people today became what they think is a Christian, by repeating whats called the sinners prayer, along with one of those guys on the TV SCREEN!

At the end of the program, after they have wasted all of their airtime begging for money, they quickly have the viewer recite a few words.

This is not repentance, and it's the reason there are so many FAKE CHRISTIANS IN THE WORLD TODAY!

It's because they were converted by FAKE MINISTERS!

Many are going to hear, I NEVER KNEW YOU!

  • @Bepps100 (This is not repentance, and it's the reason there are so many FAKE CHRISTIANS IN THE WORLD TODAY!)

    I agree!!!!

True repentance is felt deep! To the point of tears! To the point of deep sorrow! When your convicted it is almost to much to handle at one time, My God My God,

  • @game11221

Every once in a while, we do agree.

  • @Bepps100 For me, The closer I became to Christ, the more I understood, the more I held to Grace the more I knew He loved me. The Spirit came to me, and convicted me, Like I said I can not put it in to words.

If I did not know of grace and the cross, I don't know what I would have done.

For me it was like, I believed then the spirit convicted me, so know not only I know but after conviction I felt it deeper then ever before. does that make sense to you

  • @Bepps100 Good Night!

    God Bless

  • @game

You said: U say repent then believe, How can u repent if u done know who u are repenting to

    Exactly!

Ro. 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?

And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?

And how can they hear without someone PREACHING TO THEM?

Ro. 10:15 And how can they PREACH unless they are sent?

As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

  • @Bepps100 "Ro.10:14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in."

Why did you start with v.14?Why not go back to v.13.

Ro 10.13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ro 10.9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord JESUS and shale believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED.

Repentance must accompany faith in Christ.Repentance without faith in Christ would make one a virtuous condemned sinner

  • @game

The problem is, once the people of today were preached to, SOMEONE FORGOT TO TELL THEM TO REPENT!

REPENTANCE should have been the first words out of the preachers MOUTH!

Ac. 26:20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also,

I PREACHED THAT THEY SHOULD REPENT and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

  • @game

The will of God requires me to Repent, I repent, the will of God requires me to Obey Christ, I Obey Christ.

The will of God requires me to keep the Passover that Christ instituted, I keep the Passover that christ instituted,

The will of God requires me to Remember the Sabbath Day, I Remember the Sabbath Day.

God is seeking people who will OBEY HIS WILL, NOT ANY OTHER WILL!

God Requires me to lay down my life, I lay down my life.

God is only pleased with those who OBEY HIS WILL.

  • @Game

No one will be saved unless they REPENT, any one who REFUSES TO REPENT WILL PERISH!

Lk. 13:5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Why would anyone try to trivialize this verse?

Not Repenting will cause you to perish, you would think that repenting would be a persons highest priority.

  • @Bepps100 (No one will be saved unless they REPENT) True

And no one will be saved if they do not believe in Christ! Believing in Christ is my first and highest priority! And, knowing He died 4 me, in my place He stood, Ya you bet I repent! Thats part of sanctification. We are worse than we ever expected but God is better then we can imagine

  • @Bepps100 No u quote Paul when it suit u, when it fits ur theology, but when he conflicts with ur theology u say he from the evil 1. So why quote him at all

You quote Peter (Here is Peter: Ac. 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be) Agree!!!

But the word talks about other things to! Like saved by grace by faith, works will not save, we are all sinners saved by grace (the believer)

    We should live by example

I am shout out loud, yes repent! never said not 2

  • @Cookiez

You can't preach the Gospel without preaching Repentance, Repentance comes before forgiveness!

When people are hostile to the law, U know they have not truly Repented, because those who have Repented LOVE GODS LAWS!

Ps. 119:97 Mem Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.

Ps. 119:120 My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws.

Ps. 119:18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

Those who have not repented only see death in the law.

  • @Cookiez

If our righteousness as followers of Christ, is not even better than that of the pagans we live around, then we are lost indeed.

  • @Bepps100 I LOVE YOU TOO BEPPS..I dont have all the answers ..I do know that it is not right to give anyone pagan or otherwise an impression that we are perfect giving them a false sense of righteousness that with their carnal eyes they cant imagine that they can attain, because we are not...WE GET BETTER DAILY..they will see that...when we love them despite where they are...they will feel that..that is enough for them to want what we have, i think...

  • @CookiezandBubblez

My concern is 2 OBEY GOD FIRST, not worry about how the Pagan perceives my obedience.

God expects us to OBEY him, if my obedience 2 God offends anyone, then let them be offended.

God doesn't allow us to water down his instructions.

So Should we dirty ourselves up so the Pagans will like us better?

    Why should I compromise God?

Lk. 21:17 All men will hate you because of me.

If a Pagan hates me because I strive 2 obey God, then let him hate me.

  • @B I don't think any of us are saying not to repent, I think we all believe in it

If u would have noticed what some of my comments were really saying

how can u repent if u don't believe in the 1 that died for u! If u don't believe that God loves u because ur not good enough why repent

If u believe God loves u that Christ died for u he took ur place, by faith u are saved, as u have the cross in ur heart, u drop to u knees & ask for forgiveness as the HS has shown u ur ignorance.

  • @g To repent you have to believe on Jesus, but true belief & repentance go TOGETHER! You CANNOT believe without repenting & you cannot repent without believing!

You SAY you believe & then REDEFINE sin to mean whatever you want.. so you can keep doing all the things you did before .. and just say they are no longer sinful, because the law is gone & we are under a new law which is "just love", which can also mean whatever you want! Even NEW AGERS say they have a law that is "just love"!

  • @g You CANNOT believe without repenting & you cannot repent without believing! Belief & repentance happens at the SAME TIME! It is IMPOSSIBLE to TRULY believe without also REPENTING of ALL SIN & it is IMPOSSIBLE to REPENT without TRULY BELIEVING! The moment in time you believe is INSTANTANEOUS with the Holy Spirit showing you what VILE ABOMINABLE FILTH YOU REALLY ARE & how you have sinned so heinously against a HOLY GOD you know you are thoroughly condemned & Richly DESERVE DAMNATION!
