  • thats my dad in the blue :3

  • @MINDYWAAAA

    Steve is your dad?

  • @L1Games Yup :D

  • @MINDYWAAAA

    That's awesome. He's a really cool guy!

  • @L1Games Haha yeah ^^, Nice review btw :3

  • @MINDYWAAAA

Thanks! I was pleased with it. Not really the kind of thing I usually do, but I was really happy with how it came out:) It inspired my recent Gamecube Q video and I want to do more in this style now:)

  • @L1Games That's awesome! :D Well goodluck with everything:) All you're reviews bring back a lot of childhood memories XD Looking forward to seeing more videos :D

  • damn, gotta appreciate this gem!

  • Hey Muzz, I loved this review! I'd been waiting a while to see this mysterious prototype you got to play.

I saw the famicom and Super Famicom games in the background during the interview and have been meaning to ask you if they are for sale. I recently got boxed Famicom with some games for a great price and I am looking for games. I would love to buy some when I am in the area next if they are for sale.

  • @OcarinaN64

Glad you liked the review:) I'm pleased with the overall positive response I've gotten on it:)

yeah, the famicom carts are $5.99 (unless otherwise marked:)

  • They seriously need to re-release this as a homebrew with some added levels of possible. Very sad that this was never got to see the light of day. The music and graphics are awesome. = )

  • this is rediculously awesome

  • Great now get a mother 3 n64 prototype lol

  • @metakight4

I have that.... Na, I'm just kidding. LOL

  • I still don't understand why someone who holds a rare title like this wouldn't release the rom. I mean I realize the money side but this is video game history, it should belong to everyone. I have a hard time having any respect for anyone who holds out of us gamers like that.

  • @rockguythirtytwo

Yes, but also consider that distribution of the rom can hurt the overall value of the prototype. Steve has expressed an interest in sharing the cart with others but if he does it and in what quantity im not sure. time will tell:)

  • Muzz i gotta question,

so the other day i was shopping, and i ran into a copy of metroid prime trilogy for wii, collecters edition (metal case, everything came with it, the manual, a story line panflet, and the slide off case) I payed 35$ for it used, (though the disk was in perfect condition, the only thing wrong was there was no orriginal sealing)

Did i come across a good deal? or could i have gotten a better deal?

  • @frizzykid100

sounds like a good deal to me. I believe they start in the $50 area on amazon.

  • @L1Games I KNEW! that gametrader was under pricing it! Thanks muzz, I appreciate it, and put up a video of it, and something about gamestop that i think you'd be interested in, do you want me to inbox it to you? or post it on your L1 games wall?

  • @frizzykid100

the L1 group is good. share with everyone:)

  • 2 people are most likely just into call of duty

  • i love your videos man its always interesting to watch

  • this is really neat. nothing makes you feel warm inside like hearing a great find story like steve told. makes you proud to be a collector.

  • DONATE IT TO AVGN

  • Hey Muzz this question might come across random as it relates to the video but Im curious as to how i can break into the video game industry? like what college courses/classes could i take so that i may get hired by a video game company & work in a field that i enjoy? with everyone losing their jobs in the recession & all, i see the video game industry in pretty good stability. hell, some companies are offering job listing on their site but i have no idea what to study. im in a community college

  • @Numero17x

depends on what part of the industry you want to get into. I'd say go with programming as the retail side of video games could potentially die out in another decade or so. If you want to go retail though, I'd say study business.

  • @L1Games

Cool, thanks for the insight Muzz!

  • thats an awesome find, and great review bud! i usually only buy games from fleamarkets, garage sales and thrift stores. but thats just cause im from a small town. if i had an L1 games in my town i would definitely shop there too lol

  • 8D That must've been the rarest of any prototype cartridges that ever was found.

Too bad a whole game was never released.

  • Great video!

  • @GamePowMasters

    Thanks! Glad ya like it!

  • Nice video Muzz. Very informative and well spoken, you should consider doing more review type video likes this of any other rare vintage games you happen to come across.

  • Glad to see you back, Muzz! :-D

  • looked for the video could not find it so i watched some others great job my friend

  • You showed me this in person :D

  • Awesome, I wish I had an atari or nes.

  • I'm surprised there aren't a plethora of comments about the 7/10 rating you gave here. It sounds really fair to me but we're living in a time where a 9 or lower equates to a game being a failure. As for the game itself though, it looks really good and it's too bad it was being developed during The Crash of 83. Like you said, it could have changed the game (no pun intended)

  • @countD8852

a complete version of this game probably would have gotten a higher rating. But yeah, I tried to be fair:) I'd say on average, games for the atari 2600 score in the 5 area. LOL

  • So its only a 3 level prototype?

  • @trema006

Yeah, I believe that was going to be the whole game.

  • @Cyantist2 They technically can, as evidenced by multiple surviving prototypes, but within the next 10 years there will be a lot less working prototypes as bit rot can happen at any time in an older eprom like that, regardless of conditions. I've got about 100 eproms here from arcade boards and have run into this problem before.

  • @Cyantist2

Agreed. I have Fairchild carts from 1976 that are still working fine:)

  • I really hope he has a rom rip somewhere safe, eproms have a 25 year or so lifetime before the data starts to corrupt, a lot of prototypes are soon going to be dead and some have already died.

  • Great review with your own style! Keep up the good work :)

  • this game looks fun as a kid. reminds me of the later to come popeye the arcade game where he collects hearts to win over olive oyl

  • Obviously 1 person doesn't appreciate some video game history. LOL

  • @L1Games 2 people and growing I'm sure. I mean it's video game history for god sakes, and these dislikers are ether jealoius or all they know is fucking Call of Duty.

  • @L1Games >_< but I like it :D

  • LOL @ the glitches at the end. Looks like that game needs a patch :)

  • Awesome Review!

  • Very interesting. That guy is awesome.
