Even if the same thing was happening, hip hop is different from classical music, in that there are strict limitation and definitions, such as the tuba sounds like this... and can play these notes.

Hip hop beats minus bpm is no bound by these limitations...

here is an honest question. Is he actually using ASL or is it SEE or PSE. I am not deaf or HOH, or CODA, but his signs just seem a bit different from what i've seen of other ASL videos. He seems to be translating each word of the sogn, instead of the conceptual interpretation of ASL.

There's no sign for escalator, tonic, literacy, and about 40% of the English words. I am just relieved I wasn't raised using ASL otherwise I would not appreciate the nuances and intricacies of the English language. However, my school and friends use ASL so I know it by heart.

ASL does allow you express all the different meanings encapsulated in all those English words - the variations in meaning are expressed through changes in visual parameters of movement, affect, space, etc. Adjectival information is expressed differently in ASL than it is in English due to the visual-spacial modality that allows diff. elements of meaning to be produced simultaneously vs. English which only allows one element of meaning at a time.

@unsilenced79 It looks pretty ASL to me - structure/vocab. Don't see any SEE signs, few concepts kept Eng structure but not drastically. Around here we call that "contact sign" (in bilingual people the 2 languages that come into contact can influence the communication behaviour of the person) I had the same feeling that something was a bit off in some parts but I think that might be a combination of ASL not being his first language and poetic license.
