I remember when my dad took me shopping and we came by this store, where they were selling all kinds of stuff for cheaper prices, than they were usually set to... well, my dad showed me this movie called "Elskeren" in Danish, (means L'Amant!) He told me, that this movie was so friggin amazing, that i just had to watch it! Well, we bought it. It was lying in my room for a while. Then one boring day, i decided to watch it, and its one of my favourite movies of all time now! I really love it! <3

I recently saw this movie, before I saw it, I had seen the cover of the dvd. I thought it would be alright, but i never watched it. I'm so happy that I did. This is one of the great romance movies I have ever seen. When watching it, I forget about the age difference between the two. When I hear the song and I watch her on the boat and she sees his car, I just start to cry. It is so bittersweet.

I'm not really into romantic films,but when I took courage to watch this obviously tragic love flick,it struck me & with this kind of soundtrack, I almost cried.I realized that I'm still lucky to be born in this generation because people are more open-minded when it comes to interracial & May-December relationships. I should say, I fell in love w/ the story & w/ the characters.The actors pulled off the characters very well.This story is so unforgettable that I will start looking for the book.

This was a beautiful book and movie. The soundtrack was perfect for the film. Even when you hear the music by itself, images of the ferry come to mind. You feel the humidity, the sweat on your skin, and a sense of farewell. For some reason, I feel that the most beautiful love stories are the ones where the lovers can not be together.

This is the best film i have ever seen. Even though it has been so many years since, it still stays on my mind and brings out unfathomable emotion. I commend a young girl to carry so much on her shoulders and hold it together without a drop of irrationale... The cinematography just takes you to another place, a place you don't want to leave, regardless of the scarcity.
