@SailorSam13 GO early and Leave early,I was there last year, its NUTS!! 5 riots, they locked down the subways for 4 hours, wine bottles being chucked every where, everything is packed to the gills, like you want to go to a bar, not going to happen, overwhelmed with people, O and if your a woman, go with a large group of people, because every french guy in the city aggressive flirts, like, "we will give you a ride back to your hotel, if you come back to our place and sleep with us" even taxis!!

no fireworks :( we came from the Netherlands to the eiffel tower and in Holland there's always sooo unbelieveble much firewerk so we expected like great thinks from the eiffeltower but there wasn't any of it, it was a bit dissapointing but it was really beautifull (sorry for my bad english)

This is a 11 -minutes lightshow which was extremely difficult to install ( by professional alpine mountain-climbers), the tower is 300m high! Come back to the Eiffel Tower on Bastille-day , and you'll see a breathtaking firework every year - or take a look at youtube to see the fireworks celebratingt the 120th birthday of the tower last August...

are you sure. i just came back from paris recently and i was shocked by how many homeless people there were all over the streets and trains. I heard the unemployment rate there is over 10% and its under 5% here in aus.
