This is just a really cool concept for the Cryengine.
@rminb010204 If I recall, the height map would not be perfect because I modeled large chunks of the terrain in 3dsmax. So you would have to re-fit the terrain and modeled parts together perfectly, which I did, and which took forever. (I am SpanishMackerel under a different account. I made this map and did the modeling and texturing. I made about 30 versions of this thing before I got it perfect. Years before I made various blood gulch maps for FarCry, so I was warmed up.)

@waikikigun You should! I played FarCry 2 for a while and while I enjoyed it I liked Crysis much more. It's a shame nobody plays it though; with todays cheap hardware running it on a 24" monitor shouldn't take more than a 600 dollar computer.

Probably in the demo you can pull down the console and enter "map Bloodgulch_TDM" to load the map. You'll be able to play around in it by yourself like that. It looks raw in Low or Medium settings but great in High and insane in Ultra High in DX10. This vid here is High. You cannot play this in the editor because it was not released with the .cry file, which is what the editor opens.
