@dearpsychonaut i actually think it would be harder to use try keeping a perfect tempo when you have to worry about things you usually dont (ie. the pedal hitting when your foot lifts up).

and traditionally if you move your foot in a double bass like way youll see that generally your foot comes off as the other hits down which would yield it sounding like a double bass on the quad pedals. so its not really cheating.. just different

this pedal is specially designed for heel-toe, if you can't play heel toe. you cant play with this pedal, you have to use the technique or you can't get this fast

he is not using such a pedal, he is using heel-toe in the video, if you hit the back of the pedal with his heel, the beater will swing

i am a drummer and i'm shure that i know more about this, than you just believe me ;)

btw these quad pedals are very difficult to play

this is the drummer of henker, these giant step pedals by sonor only make the 'heel-toe-technique' a bit easier

if you don't know what heel-toe is look a video about that or look for 'sonor giant step twin effect pedal'
