  • All I can say is that this guy had a really good hitch....

  • At least they saved the bike.

  • FIRST MISTAKE!! its not a 4x4, i learned the easy way to never go off the road if its not a 4x4.

  • Bicycle in this weather, I think not!!

  • Nice recovery, guys.

  • Howe is it whit the bike driver is he ok

  • Never hit the brakes when a trailer starts to fish tail - that's a sure way of making it flip. You need to gently accelerate to pull the trailer back into line.

  • Seems you blew the air bags out when it went up if you dont disengage the airbags they'll pump up until they explode trying to level the car's weight out

  • Many of these people commenting about the merits of towing a trailer with a car, seem to have forgotten that in the 1970s, the heaviest, most powerful passenger vehicles you could buy, were full-size Cadillacs and Lincolns. The town car in this video weighs more than an Explorer of the same year, and has the identical engine.

  • Your wrecker/recovery guys look pretty conscientious and did a good job not furthering the damage.

  • why evon bother with moving walmart junk furniture or partical junk be easyer just sell your funiture and just buy new stuff at the new place i would not matter the bouncing around the partical stuff just fall apart you have better luck getting better quality funiture trash picking it or the thriftshops or garge sales then cheep junk from walmart

  • R.E.T.A.R.D MAYBE you shouldn't have been speeding with a trailor on snow covered roads

  • Wow, that sucks! I would be very reluctant to tow anything with my car (same car).

  • thank god for the insurance lol i always rent with out

  • Yeah Ive been stuck in Cheyenne a few times because of the weather. Just watching this video made me think of that, then I saw your comments about the location.

  • I'll bet you skimped out on the Safetow, didn't ya?

  • GOD, Easy with the flipping over of the trailer. My grandmas still in there.

  • how was the car?

  • This sucks dude. At least the bike is OK. I have a Continental. FWD. Not for towing though...

  • walk under it a few more times dumbass

  • Yeah. Unless you converted the rear air bags to springs that car isn't designed to really tow anything. And, judging by how low it was sitting when the tow truck driver put it back down I'm guessing you still have bags. But, when it's that windy and slick your best bet is to just stop and wait.

  • its called HEAVY ASS LOAD!

  • '

is this driver tooo fast while windy

  • im from colorado...and driving up by cheyenne it gets hella windy even in my mercedes kompressor

  • @dtaylor2081 ya....it gets windy in your mercedes kompressor??

  • @dtaylor2081 Solution: roll up the windows, or turn down the blower on your dash. I'm sure that Mercedes has a "hurricane" setting on the dash somewhere...

  • its looks FREAKING COLD OUT THERE!!!!!

  • AYY HOW DID THAT HAPPEN

  • this was by wamsutter i delivered oilfield crap from casper many ,many times i hate i-80 and this shithole casper...

  • I would bet it had something to did with the U-Haul. Rotten, sons 'o bidges.

  • well at least you know u-haul trailer hitches are pretty strong

  • @waverider48 Indeed! U-Haul equipment may not look like much but it is stout! That big car hanging from the hitch impressed me. The box handled the weight without crushing even after the abuse of rolling.

  • Dont ever tow on windy days.

  • FUCKING WOMEN DRIVERS

  • Dont tell U- Haul lol

  • @mudder22k i pull a trailer with my v6 3100 all the time, my engines bigger than most found in small pick up trucks ans SUVs

  • I was in college in laramie, WY for a year. I watched an 18 wheeler get blown right off I-80. Never seen anything like itt being from missouri.

  • not bad ok just one prob how did that happened the car did flip nice driving

  • not bad guys...

  • this driver might be drive too fast while pull a trailer

  • probably, i don't believe the wind should flip this, it's not big enough

never speed while towing a trailer !!

  • what size is that Uhaul box? 5x8?

  • NICE RECOVERY, GOOD JOB GUYS

  • sterke trekhaak

  • wonder if they got there deposit back

  • wait what.. HOW?

  • Nice bike on the roof :D roflol

  • Hannibal might not be the best name to have on the side of a u-haul.

  • Tell the guy at the U-Haul place that the minor scratch on his trailer was there when you rented it!

  • U-FAIL

    *based on failblog*

    *no offfence*

  • Is that North Dakota?

  • seriously, i wouldnt even be driving a huge pick up truck in that conditions let alone some saloon car which handls like a bitch in bad conditions.

  • @228Ghost228 I'm going to be honest with you, I've owned a 1996 Ford F-150, a 1986 Dodge D-100, and a few other smaller trucks. None of them have handled nearly as well as my 1991 Town Car on ice. Not to mention, the Town Car has the same full-frame as a truck, with even weight distrib. This crash happened because the wind pushed that trailer off the road, the same way it would do just as easily to a semi truck. The moral of the story, please research a vehicle before lumping it in with others.

  • I don't get how it managed to stay coupled upside down. The tongue must have twisted 180 degrees.

  • i have a 4 banger car when i moved i just sold most of my stuff and packed my personal and basic kitchen things tied the matress on top when i moved in my new place i just found things or just get new or yoused stuff. That crap at walmart and big box stores thr thrift shop is the best at least it will stand up better then press chip stuff

  • WOW LINCOLNS HAVE WELL MADE BUMPERS!!

  • Wow, its amazing one strong wind can do to a trailer! Damn it.

  • hitch on that car is going to be fucked up lol

  • wow... didnt see that one coming...

  • I ll rather be at the rest area or cafe playing with other tralvers.

  • My old car (Subaru Outback 4 cylinder) had no problem pulling my Harley on a 4x8 flatbed trailer. It was rated for a Class 1 trailer (2k lbs). I even pulled a small jet boat from Pittsburgh to Charleston, SC and back. It went a little slower through the mountains (I couldn't break 70mph going uphill), but never to the point where it was unsafe or uncontrollable.

  • wow thats some tough trailer it did not fall apart so you did just put it back on the car and keep going

  • I WORK AT UHAUL AND I CAN SAFLEY SAY THEY WILL REPAINT IT Aand it will rbe rented out within a week

  • Nah man, That hitch is trash.

  • That U Haul trailer has one helluva strong tongue on it.

  • They do. I guess they are thinking that people are going to overload them all the time. The newer 5 x 8 trailers have a tongue and bar size consistent with a trailer over twice it's size.

  • I'm laughin my ass off here, reading some off these comments, people are actually thinking a normal car is not designed for towing a trailer, come on, in europe there are almost NO trucks, bc there are not practical, and pretty useless, look nice though. But passenger cars, like a volvo s80 can haul around 2500 kg...

  • Seconded. My elderly 100 hp Volvo 240 has no problem with my caravan. It's got a pretty high carrying capacity too, 1,500 pounds. That's an entire Mini.

  • I laugh, too! Most people saying "trucks should move trailers" seem to keep forgetting that even an F-350, especially with duallies, is really too *light* in the back for towing, anyway! lol

  • i agree also it may not be a car but my dads 25 hp zero turn lawnmower pulled my dads 2500 gmc seirra up our driveway and my driveway is fairly steep

  • wtf

  • Great recovery (damage free) !

  • Thats how we always put snow tires on

  • that looks like it was one hell of a ride on the way in the ditch!!!

  • that is why you dont pull a box trailer with a car

  • What then? with a donkey?

  • how about a truck you putts

  • Why would you need a little box if you have a bloody TRUCK?

  • so would you rather get your shit stolen out of the back of a truck, or keep it locked up in a lil trailer for a bit?

  • that car is just as heavy as a truck and has a motor that is just as big. The vehicle it totaly capable of towing that trailer and alot more. the real deal is the weather and skill of the driver.

  • Yeah but thats a powerful towncar!

  • Wheres front bike tire?

  • they must have been moving there stupid asses out of that weather and down to AZ! hahahaha

  • hope u got safemove buddy

  • I hope that nobody has been hurt friend, the wind was very strong and I have seen trailers become larger.

  • i found it most funny that there is a bike on the roof too. where would you ride a bike in that kind of weather----- bbrrrrrrrrrr

  • <3 ..

  • That's a Lincoln Towncar. It has a V8. It's more powerful than most SUVs you see pulling trailers. It was just way too windy and way too slick.

  • that lincoln has the 1st generation 4.6l engine that ford made...powerful for a car but nothing special...

  • @FaberFilms yes, however, a towncar's suspension isn't designed to pull a trailer and u-haul is unconscionable for renting one to you

  • @FaberFilms but to pull a trailer the power is not enough the car should be heavy and than something like this cant happen!!

  • @FaberFilms Ok, so thats why you don't put a truck sized engine in a car towing a trailer on an icey, slick road during a very windy day.

  • @FaberFilms

A V8 has nothing to do with the reason why a car shouldnt pull a trailer. The fact that a P.O.S. lincoln towncar doesnt have a full frame like a truck is the reason.

  • @xJMSports Are you retarded? The Town Car is one of the last cars with a full frame.

  • @FaberFilms Just because a car has a V8 does not mean it has more horsepower...

  • @sweetlikeADAM what world to you live on??? sure as hell aint earth

  • @AdmiralKakarot You obviously know nothing about cars. I guess that explains why you drive a Hyundai hahaha.

  • @sweetlikeADAM shows what you know. its a good car so dont talk shit about it. but if i was offered a 1970 Dodge Challenger with the 440 Magnum then i wouldnt think twice about not using that Hyundai anymore. however thats beside the point. Faber Films is right seeing as most SUV's these days have at the most a v6. HOWEVER, i would rather use an SUV to tow that trailer while driving in winter conditions anyway, regardless of the engine size. 4x4 is better than RWD any day

  • @AdmiralKakarot You are right in the fact that a larger VEHICLE SIZE(not engine) is better for towing a large trailer, especially with bad road conditions. But, you still don't get my original point that engine size and the number of cylinders does not matter! Subaru makes 4 cylinder engines that produce 300hp while Ford has 8 cylinder engines making 230hp. Honda makes 4 cylinder engines that make 200hp. Those engines with half the cylinder amount are making near or more than those large ones...

  • @sweetlikeADAM yea im well aware. Hyundai makes a 274hp turbo charged 2.0l I-4 and Ford also makes the twin turbocharged 395hp 3.5l v6 and Dodge has the 6.7l I6 turbo diesel. trust me i know the differences. the v8 that lincoln uses is a small block v8 4.6. the most it pushes for that car is about 240hp. however, IF it had the 427 big block then that would be different. no V6 or I-4 can keep up with that. but then it would still be in its current predicament.

  • @AdmiralKakarot Actually, yes they can. There are I4s and H4s out there making 1000+hp and I6s making 1400+hp. Don't tell me that smaller, lighter engines can't keep up. I will defend that until my death.

  • @sweetlikeADAM a I-4 getting 1000HP? i dont believe that for a second. but i have heard of an I-6 getting much more than that.

  • @AdmiralKakarot im a muscle car and truck guy and i have seen I-4s making 1000HP but i have seen V8's making 3000 and 4000 HP as well

  • @xmodrock well its new to me. i have never seen or heard of a I-4 make it past 300hp

  • @AdmiralKakarot youtube it... its very possible... it just ain't street legal ... evo's can make 850 easy... ken blocks new feiesta makes 650 and is capable of 850

  • WAS ANY THING IN THE CARGO BOX?

  • Yes, it was full, but the only real damage was to some Wal-Mart particle board furniture. And yes, I had the U-Haul insurance, fully covered.

  • I've done that before, got confused and hitched my trailer upside down.

  • Damn good job mounting the hitch... I must say.

  • Should have bought a Subaru mate

  • where did this happen? ive seen this very thing happen many times...all with u-haul trailers :S

  • In Wyoming, on I-80

  • @FaberFilms fuck you bitch

  • @oilfield666 It's not caused by the uhaul trailer it's caused by careless drivers..and in this case snow and ice.

  • @mompood know what trailer sway is? its cause by the towing vehicle (in most cases) being too light. load too heavy. it was the trailers fault and owners stupidity for attempting this.

  • omg! how could that happen that the trailer would invert and the car would be standing still...this requires the tow hooks to get twisted which is very unlikely!?!?!?!?

  • should have use his wheel lift to lift the car and then cut off the hitch or puillde the pin out of the reciever and then rolled over the trailor. Put the trialor on the deck and the car on the wheel lift of the deck-truck

  • Nothing happened to the hitch, the trailer popped off the ball and propped up the car by the bumper. No damage to the car whatsoever.

  • oh he fucked the u-haul..............lol

  • A few blocks of wood and a car jack could have fixed this mess. I wonder what happened to the trailer's contents?

  • Thats not a tiny ass car... Thats a 1992 Lincoln Town Car. They weigh quite a lot, handle very well with the long wheel base, and have plenty of torque to tow such a trailer EASILY... It's not the car's fault and neither is it the drivers probably. It just happens sometimes.

  • gots a big 302 motor to

  • i gots me one of them there big 302 them there motors too lolololololololololololololol hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • LOL

  • LOL! XD

  • U-Haul STINKS! my family got into a car reck this summer because of U-Haul..it was partly the trailer and STRONG WINDS!!!! : x :x :x

  • That's why I don't work when it snows.

  • lmao

  • sorta like a missing scene from the movie Fargo

  • was it empty, or were you speeding for the conditions?

  • this shit is funny

  • impressive
