I am not a fan of lounge versions of songs no matter how nice of a voice the singer has. The Cure just made this song great the first time around, and 3-11 and Adelle have just done slowed down versions that only had appeal because they did as artists. They were both strange arrangements of a good song and fall far short of the original. Adele can wail, but leave it alone.
@honson7769 This doesn't fall short of anything. I've head the Cure version, it was the first version of the song I heard actually. Didn't like it, but along came 311 and Adele and it spoke to me more then the original. It comes down to personal preference. Your opinion doesn't trump anyone's elses.

The Cure did a version of Purple Haze that I simply could not stand because it sounded nothing like the original. The Cure is my favorite band, and they should have left it alone. Adele has a nice voice but I just don't get as much feeling and emotion from this...then again, Robert wrote this for his wife, who he loves dearly, so I suppose it would be hard to get as much emotion into it to 'top' that. I'm a Cure fan myself, but I can appreciate Adele's talent, even if this cover is...ahem...not to my taste.
@lnvaderLuna I agree completely, some songs are just not for making a cover, except the band itself "cover" it, like DM enjoy the silence (remastered) or the unplugged version of this song.

She is just so great. I love the way she just talks to the crowd, like she's hanging out in her living room with them. So genuinely down to earth and real. Beautiful version of this song...sung so beautifully by her as usual.
