  • Wow, the Japanese voice actors are great and sound very similar to the American counterparts.

  • i love tiana,she was soo beatiful.

  • Lol, the voices sound so funny! But I tell you, when I heard "Friends on the Other Side" in English, I was very surprised.

  • "The Princess and the Magic Kiss"? lol.

It's cool that they're keeping the original music, though.

  • japanese people enjoy disney movies? since when?

  • Really good, but I miss the accents

  • in my book this is better than anime crummy 2 frame -per second anime. however i do give anime a plus for detail and story creativity, but disney still rules

  • no offense but this sounds really funny XD i mean the people fit the characters but it still seems kinda off....you know what i mean?

  • Tiana - Honoka Suzuki

    Naveen - Tatsumine Tansou

    Facilier - Motomu Azaki

    Ray - Hajime Komada

Mama Odie - Hiroko Arai (?)

All stage actors with more or less only bit parts in anime (except Arai there, no clue who she is). Seeing as that's usually the route they go in English anyway, I'm totally fine with it.

  • "good evening mr frog?"

"princess, I would like a kiss"

    WHY CHANGE THE LINES!

  • Usually, lines are changed to allow for better lip-sycing. If they kept the lines the exact same, the mouth movements would be horribly off.

  • @canarycharm to fit the mouth flaps...

  • @canarycharm

I think it's in order to make sence

  • prince naveen sounds soo sexy in japanese! well in english too, i guess prince naveen is diffinition of sexy xD

  • i didnt know i could speak japanese! "Princess story"

  • @ Lower conversation: It is true, many movies in Japan are in English with Japanese subtitles, or often times in Disney movies they keep the songs in English (the songs are the best part of Disney movies, of course) while the regular dialogue is in Japanese. Happy Feet was like that!

BTW, is there any reason why the title of this Japanese version is, Princess and the Magic Kiss? ...to be quite honest I think they should stay true to the story and retain the same name as the English version.

  • The Princess sounds like the Japanese Nani from Lilo & Stitch. I didn't think that this movie was being released in Japan yet. That was fast.

  • wow.....the voices are'nt that off from da originals this is pretty darn cool

  • @bambamboozles Really? They sound so different to me (except Ray, he sounds the same). But then again, I don't speak Japanese so I don't know what the Japanese equivilent to a Southern accent sounds like, lol.

  • Japan rocks!

  • that may be true, but the japanese public isn't entirely clueless. And besides, most of the movies ive seen while in japan, like Transformers and Robots, have been in english with Japanese subtitles. Its just the commercials that are in japanese, and they have an all-japanese version for little kids who can't read and older people who cant read fast enough, as well as the english version with subtitles.

  • yeah, usually in foreign theatres, they have the movies in english with japanese subs. same thing in thailand. and some movies are in both languages with subs switched :)

  • I love watching Disney movies in different languages. But i like the english one most usually (because i can actually understand everything they say in english)

  • wow... the voices are pretty close..

  • @AmsterAmy You have a point there and I agree. I've learned a lot from this movie and I live halfway across the world from America. I just hope that there is..well, maybe a dual-language thing or DVD where people from other countries can actually get a taste of the N'awlin's culture. :)

  • I'd love to hear Friends On The Other Side in japanese.

  • it's not bad, but original's the best!

  • Yeah, no one can do a Cajun accent like a...well, a Cajun, lol. I really wanna see this movie in other languages, though. Especially French. :D

  • haha in japanese? interesting but i think you'd have to see this movie in english to get the full experience of the accents and the terms of new orleans

  • The part at the end with Naveen licking his lips and Louis gagging cracked me up. xD

  • Wh - Why is it called "The Princess's Magical Kiss"? O.o

  • @mina352 Technically it's "The Princess and the Magical Kiss" but I guess it's because it appeals more to a Japanese audience.

  • Japan's releasing it in 2010?

  • I would watch any animated Disney movie in any language, it would be epic no matter what!

  • love this trailer

    i knooooooow i'm a japanophile :P

still seriously loved the VAs totally awesome 5starz ^^

  • this is really cool! i'd love to see more international trailers :D

  • I like it!

  • i hope the songs would be dubbed too. lol. That would be fun. Naveens voice sounds familiar. Who is it?

  • This would be something fun to see in Japanese.
