  • Is this what the class of 46 vets won the war with? Maybe we need it now,

  • I love this song so much, and my daughter does a tap dance solo to it as well :)

  • Yes, you heard a guitar. This is a much newer recording of this classic song, and I'm curious who the band is and when it was recorded.

  • @ssbbleader Glenn Miller used a guitar in some of his recordings......

  • @ssbbleader :: Is it a newer recording? Not GlennMiller original recording? I think you are right, judging from trumpet and drums after 2:40. But they have kept some of the "violent" good stuff :)

  • Perfection and patriotic, when needed the most! Beautiful. Very moving, in a good way.

  • did i here a guitar?

  • this is the fattest bass i ever heard in a swing record!!!

  • the best musician ever

  • Gracias amigo por subir esta cancionota que es casi un himno. Si es o no la Orquesta del Gran Miller, lo dejo a los especialistas....en todo caso su sonido es fascinante, cautivante pegajoso y bien logrado.

  • Everybody is starving for real music like this...

  • Das ist vono!, Kalivoda

  • @kalivoda731 :-D myslis, ze ti rozumie??? :-)))

  • @7310543

Ale rozumí. Je to ohromnej flák, za který se v padesátých letech rozpouštěly kapely.

  • @kalivoda731 ano viem, rodicia hovorili ake boli 50te roky v ceskoslovensku :-(

  • This song is amazing, I've had stuck in my head for days.

  • One complete and utter asshole does not like this recording. :-p

  • Es realmente la orquesta de GM? No me suena a su sonido original ni a su arreglo.

  • Why does today's music suck so much. Screw Rap, let's go back to Big Band and Swing music. At least it has style and class to it.

  • Esse som é divino. A melhor música de todos os tempos!!!! Fantástico!

  • solo

  • maybe a standup bass

  • they had bass guitar back then?as a featured instrument I hear one

  • @Syzygy60 no eso es un contrabajo creo amigo

  • dunno if I was born and raised in the wrong era, but I can tell you I am thankful that this sound has been preserved so that we can all enjoy it today!

  • the best

  • Always reminds me of my dad he loved this and so do I

  • this is my favorite song on my mp3 player

  • I remember the first time I heard the great Alton Glenn Miller I was 4 years old my dad "my best friend " introduced Glenn's sound, his style of arrangment, that was and still has not become a thing of the past and most likely ever will . I am 44 now and my son still blast glenn's sound some times a 1000 watt stereo can fool you its live at 20 my son still listen to Glenn's music I think It's a tradition now . LOL thanks Glennyou are the man !!

  • I'm looking for the sung version of this -- I think it's called "We must be diligent."

  • @JBurdoo I think it's "We must be vigilant".

  • This isn't even a Glenn Miller recording. Sounds like a later stereo recording, perhaps the Glenn Miller Orchestra but way after 1944.

  • Hey, I have this exact version on Itunes! I realized it was a match due to the loud and defined bass tone. And the style of the trumpet solo.

  • The best recording of this song on youtube! Thank you!

  • @Eastwood560it may be, but certainly not the best recording/performance. This version lacks life and is over-produced. Miller's studio version cannot be topped.

  • i liked every day this famous musician.
