  • 1:51 "ffiiinnnneeee ill go over it... PHYCE!"

  • I bet that horse is thinking 'Mate, just fuck off!'

  • he's like "how about i walk backwards instead? yep that good for you? thought so!"

  • Good job, kid. A crop would have definitely help, as I am sure many other people have told you, but you make do with what you have. The circles, when your horse is trying to rear or buck is good. A horse's spine needs to be straight to buck so engaging a "one-rein stop" disengages their hind end to stop the buck.

    Keep on your feet, kid!

  • Crop and spurs ftw. Big western spurs and a Waterford bit :) lol kidding of course. Well done she did a fine job it's hard to control a stubborn horse like that.

  • Well done!!! :)

  • that horse looks like it likes to play mind games, the horse doesnt look like ees scared

  • instead of tight circles you should have made him trot in a circle a few times then go to the jumpat a trot and if he sitll refused do more circles and make it a pole and go over it until he gets over the jump

  • stop kicking and pulling at the same time

  • your aggravating him, just give him a break! you need to respect horses for them to respect you! im not saying give up, im saying just focusing on getting him walk before you even go back to attempt the jump and never ever pull a horse round in circles like that, its not fair on them, how would like being pulled around in tiny circles being jabbed in the mouth?

  • @TheAmyLeo I'm pretty sure he was aggravating his rider, too... And if he's aggravated, IMO that's too bad cause he blantantly ignored his rider and that's not ok. Also, pulling a horse into a tight circle is a fair punishment for almost killing the rider as this horse did here, and I've seen several trainers do that because it makes them pay attention (which is exactly what this person was trying to do). ;) Not trying to be rude, I'm just saying that the horse obviously wasn't respecting her.

  • pull him in a tight circle and get him going then eventually start going straight.. then he has no option

  • my horse does that, it's scary. After a few minutes of asking him to walk, he goes nuts. last time it happened. he ran into a barbed wire fence after i bailed. i've tried circles, crops, light spurs, and nothing works. he just literally goes ape sh!t. I won't jump or go over a trot with him anymore. good job on staying on.

  • @DollarJumper There is obviously some deeper issue with your horse such as physical pain . What other way has he got to try and tell you then reacting the way you describe. Horses are not born bad they become that way so maybe look deeper into why you are getting that kind of behaviour because spurs and everything else will not give you the answers.

  • @TheAndreana2012 He has been checked out by a vet and there's nothing wrong physically. But he IS going to go back within the next two weeks to double check, he hasn't been ridden over a walk or trot or jumped since last November. Even when I ride him bareback he does this so I'm pretty sure that it's not my saddle but I am going to get the vet to double check.

  • @DollarJumper I'm getting something about pelvis area on the left hand side to look at. Try just putting your hand it that area gently and think about pushing energy through. Sounds strange but I'm a healing and animal communicator. I'll send some healing too but I can definitely 'feel' something on that left side. Try it out anyway; nothing to loose and your horse will thank you if you help him feel better.

  • @TheAndreana2012 I'm going to try and no it doesn't sound strange at all. I have a friend who can is a 'whisperer'. i'm running out of options with him. and i love him and have too much fun riding him to let him just be a pasture horse. he didn't do this when i got him, so it happened when he was with me but we're not sure on the time frame of the injury.

  • @DollarJumper he's only 10... too young to not do anything. only started jumping at 5.

  • If you keep kicking, your horse will become numb to that, and won't listen to yu anymore.

  • well done for staying on ! <3

  • What a stubborn little shit! :O

  • I wonder how long till your horses sides are dead from all that kicking. Did you notice he walked when you stopped kicking. He is not tacking advantage and for all those experts on the floor giving you advice it was taking your attention away from the horse who did not have a clue what you were asking. Please put the ground work in before getting on and just kicking a horse; it is this type of thing that leas to 'problem' horses that sometimes end up being put down because they get dangerous.

  • @TheAndreana2012 i agree, where i ride we squeeze instead of kicking and it works just as well. I always think we wouldn't like to be kicked in the ribs so neither would a horse :)

  • @DontQuestionPirates You are so right. When we begin to respect them and think about the world from their point of view then we might actually learn something and become more evolved as a race. They are so sensitive but so many shut down because of behaviour like this or go the other way and become dangerous.

  • @TheAndreana2012 and like im not an expert or anything i've only been riding for a year and a little bit, yeah i think like instructors should show people how to respect horses not just how to ride the,

  • @DontQuestionPirates I don't know why people think turning in circles will get the horse to understand her more. We forget that horses could do us harm if they wanted to and it is only because they are gentle respecting creatures that they don't. They deserve at least some respect in return. I do animal communication and healing and work with a lot of horses that have been messed up through human actions. Its not about kicking and pulling them around at all.

  • @TheAndreana2012 yeah i agree, like a horse has enough power to ignore you, like all that muscle verses you its clear whos going to win. Yet half the time they choose not to hurt you. And i bet thats a nice job like really rewarding.

  • @DontQuestionPirates I love it and I can tell you the way we work with horses is drastically going to change in the near future. I organise healing camps where terminally ill children get to work with my horses and me; we are like a healing team. Its magical and there really is so much more to them than just riding. I also work with rescue charities to help their horses have a second change and train them to heal people.

  • Love this! use to ride a horse that did this haha. But at some point you just need to take your hand and smack him, because he's just taking advantage of you.

  • I hope that wasn't the instructor talking in the background. If it was she needs to be fired.

  • I would get the crop and smack him once hard to tell him im the boss do what the fuck i tell you or u get hit.

  • @Bunderfulove, that is true, I watched again and didn't notice, but not getting off was a good choice and she sat his bucks well (:

  • It is so horrible! Bad boy Gabriel? No! I feel sorry with him.. Everything what you did on this video is absolutely disaster! It is only horse´s defense.. He survive this bad situation(when you dig him like a nutcase..) and you teach him be blunt.. His reaction is ok.. If I were this horse I would dig you and I hate people.. :(

  • your hore is crazy but when you kick try nudging instead of kicking him that helps morex

  • @horses4evazyitoggx alsoty not t opull his head to one side too much!x

  • you have a "nice" horse. how old is he/she?

  • hes kust like nawwwwwwwww... mabie tomorrow. humm lets playy yayyy!!!!

  • if i was the horse, i would have decked her.

  • Good you managed to stay on at some moments. But you all just seem like a bunch of idiots really.

  • @CharlotteHHCoyle a part from the horse of course.

  • Oh.my.gosh. Learn to ride the horse.

  • HAHAHAHA i really never saw a rider who's bad like this and such a patient horse! my horse would rear and would trample over her again and again! xD really CANNOT believe it...

  • and its the amazing chicken dance on the horse again i think u need to stop that tbh hes just like wtf is waak waak waak waak horse " PISS OF WILL YA!"

  • Its so sad that everyone is allowed to ride... Get those people away from the horse! It's fucking scared and all you do is kick it and pull around on the reins. You just hurt it!! :-(

  • 'keep your hands still while you're kicking'?!

    Just don't KICK! Wtf?!

  • Use your voice not just your freakin legs-_-

  • that must have been so annoying!!!

  • do you sstill have him?

  • quack

  • That kid needs a lesson with my intructor, if that horse had done that with my instructor he wouldve had dirt chucked at him and been whiped. Thats somthing called persistance and good schooling :L

  • ornery piece of work he is...... i wouldnt put up with that for a minute.

  • Comment removed

  • Keep your hands still it doesnt make the horse any quicker!

  • maybe if someone lead the horse over the jump first it might help!! just an idea!!

  • + nudge sorry not kik..

  • 0:11 ur err ment 2 sit still no offence :P

  • You did a good job staying on.

  • You did pretty well to stay on when he was bucking and rearing, I'd say. I would've fallen hard xD

  • good job of staying on but this is why you must carry a whip or crop at all times :)

  • @EmziDavies210794 umm theres plenty of waysother than haveing a crop or whip to make a horse go faster... if i even sit on my horse with a whip/crop he's spinning around and trying to take off and doing anything he can to try and move because hes terifyed of being hit. But if i cluck or swing my reins on his neck he useally stops being stupid

  • @1233Maya yea but you letting him/her get away with murder because they arnt listening to your leg and my horse was like that a first you just have to make them get used to it otherwise this will happen ..... :/

  • @EmziDavies210794 no my horse is an arab and a barrel horse so his problems almost never involve not moving. I can get him to gallop with out kicking or useing anything other than clucking. And he dodnt wanta move when i got him but i only used a crop one time and he freaked out so i never used any whip thing again and i got him to go from a horse that wouldnt move to a barrel horse (he's still learning but still)

  • good job staying on!! ;o

  • maybe try growling at him/her?

  • lol the horse is like "nup no not happening, defnately not" How old is the horse?

  • I think you did fine, you stated in the description that you're not a professional, but you know, everyone here who wrote stupid hating comments obviously is, right?

I honestly just think that this horse was throwing a fit. Just like toddler's throw tantrums, horses do, too. He didn't feel like jumping that day, so he acted like a little diaper boy and and stomped his feet and said no.

However, that head jerking crap that he was doing was just plain shitty.

  • How about getting off and then walking him over it first and getting him used to the jump before y9ou go over it with you on his back? o.O

  • if that were me, there would b serious crop action action taking place -.- little shit.

  • @equestrianstar1

No umm you dont use a crop when a horse is confused you use a crop when the horse is being a little pest. That horse wasn't being naughty that rider who i dare not call a rider was flinging her hands around, kicking the horse, moving in the saddle, 3+ things at once!! The horse is not gonna move.

  • GET HER OFF!

  • you should go over the one with no wings first...

  • so to go forward you yanking in a tight cirlce ... Dumb Ass!

    go learn to ride .-.

  • @minietheminx It's actually an emergency stop, since he was being a little shit and bucking and rearing.

  • obviously you don't know how to ride u r not using the right aids to tell the horse to walk and pulling his head like that will just give the horse a sore neck !!! heres a thought maybe you should let someone more experienced to ride him and so he will learn instead of kicking him you will make his sides go lame !!!!!!

  • @MegaCrazychick12345 thats right it is not the correct aid to ask for walk and she needs is to let some one experienced to hop on him

  • Just saying with my experience, she was doing fine. She can't let him win when he doesn't want to go over a jump. I think she handled it fine also, she didn't start crying and saying she wanted to get off, or stopped and let him win. Good job! (:

  • @Gallopfree24

yeah but she didn't do a good job, she was flinging her hands around, kicking, pulling on the reins, moving in the saddle, i didn't hear any voice controls... it's better to tell the truth than to make her think that sh d right, cos she didnt

  • Should have gave him one big kick and shouted walk on not wak they dont take it in as much as walk on

  • @Catlin99x And making his head get put roung like that thats just going to piss him of big time

  • You can't ride for shit.

  • After watching the video for this amount of me he really doesn't wanna walk over the jump!

  • if u keep doing that hes going get mad and buck u off just saying with me my horse never gets mad at me cause we bond and i dont kick him i use the aids to ask for walk trot and canter here ur kicking him and he dont like it he needs training and ur never going to be a good rider if u dont take lessons

  • @kirstensunny Not being funny, but do you know the horse? Nope...so what exactly gives you the right to judge? "he's going to get mad and buck you off"...you sound like my little brother, who knows nothing about horses. I know that you do, I saw your videos, but still, you have no right to judge other people. And the rider has obviously had lessons before, because she actually knew what she was doing? And she managed to stay on, and she was actually riding correctly...

  • @FallenAngelDream i can tell that the horse does not really wanna go over the jump soo why is she making him do it does not make any sense just saying

  • @FallenAngelDream and also every time she kicks the horse gets mad and shes not using the correct ads to ask for walk just saying

  • @kirstensunny just saying, just saying, just saying...jeez, if you're just saying, why bother? Nobody really cares for your opinion, I know I wouldn't if it were me and any of my horses you were talking about-especially not when you sound like an unreliable little kid. But I won't go there. She already stated that she knows what she did wrong, you don't need to tell her. You don't really need to tell me either, I can see for myself. Not everyone will ride like you, get used to it!

  • i think you handled the situation pretty well considering his attitude. you didn't lose your cool and continued to calmly direct him towards the jump

  • woah your a bit over horsed lol my horse refused once and never did it again cos as soon as he refuses he gets a smack on the arse lol

  • @DeathKitty123456 Haha Jess! Fancy seeing you here ;D

  • @JaymeeLS eurgh its you haha :P quit stalking me jaymee what have i told you about that ;)

  • Face the facts he ain't gonna do it!!

  • he looks like he has never seen a trotting pole in his life...

  • if you cant get your horse to move foward, just lean and kick, it works for my pain in the butt horse

  • not to be mean, but you need a rider that can controll a horse, this horse is mastering the girl its taking the mick out of her

  • @ModellHorseGal and shes getting the horse all mad by kicking it which is not the aid to ask for walk -_-

  • Your pulling back on the reigns while telling him to go. Try loosening them up and use a calm voice. Even if he makes the slightest movement forward give him a ton of praise and then repeat

  • lol so im not the only one with this prblm! Doont worry, i have a pony that does the same thing

  • @paulinakatiek that's what both my trainers want me to do! ;D

  • you can see him getting more pissed off with every waaak

  • you might wanna turn him around and go a little further back so he can actually see the jump....

  • @FroggyandIssac she did

  • @equine247 yeah but after like 10mins of flapping with her legs? :L

  • @equine247 she was kicking because he wouldn't move and at a jump that low it doesn't really matter

  • You must never pull on the rains so much, I am very glad you stayed on that one ;D but what I would do is really first try to calm him down and then sit lightley and urge on if that doesnt work canter circres until he shows that he wants to stop then try it again, thats what I do with my horses and it works I don't beat them at all.

  • very well sat with the 'tantrum' :)

pulling harder with your hands and kicking harder will just upset the horse. what i would advise is that you walk him away from the jump then 20m circle a pole on the ground and wait till he is calmer then tighten the circle till hes walking next to it. then lay the pole on the ground particularly if he has never jumped before and get him to stand near the pole then eventually stand over it, then get him to walk over it then slowly raise it into a small jump.

  • you should of got a crop and use it

  • heh show he/her who's boss

  • Horse - no. You try jumping it , I'm tired and hot, get off.

  • Where do you keep your horse? I want to come and jump it. He looks fun! (joke dont tell me your adress xD)

  • Dont flap- kick

    Walk- not wak

Let your horse walk around the jump first.

  • @Laaurenjadee its hard to let him walk around the jump first if they won't walk haha

  • Comment removed

  • Did you get over the jump in the end?

  • It helps to kick hard every 5 secounds rather then flappingy your legs hand the same problem once.

  • i know know your horses fave shape. a circle XD

  • Haha, what a bastard! He's got a real character, I love the way he just stands there like a mule and turns round and looks at her feet kicking him on, then just pisses off and bucks and rears, I love cheeky horses like that!

  • lol....is he yours?

  • I guess thats a 'no'.. then?

  • quack quack quack. Sorry, I just had to xD

That happened to me too. I got him over after some time though xD

  • Next time, I'd recommend tapping him on the shoulder with the end of the reins xD

  • turn it around and trot up to it ? use your hand if you have no crop i do :')<3.

  • i think you done very well, its not easy when a horse wont move, lovely horse by the way.x

  • stop wiggiling in your saddle it irritaes the horse so it does not move x

  • My goodness there are a lot of very rude people!

You sat his antics very well! We all have days like this, there are times when I can't get my horse moving forwards either!

Very well sat and ignore all this stupid comments :)

  • I think he's taking the p***... not sure how I would have handled it differently, but then again I'm not the best rider in the world either! Hope you got him over it in the end, maybe a leader would have helped. He totally planted, my arab would do that, took some getting her going again but the trick was to keep her moving once she started.

  • @MissEmmaWade i dont think u shud be saying that you dont know that horse or his background so if u dont have anythin nice to say dont say anytin at all beacause she knows her horse better than u

  • Comment removed

  • he ain't going over that jump!

  • sorry to break it to you, but he aint gonna be a showjumper!

  • you are the worst rider i have ever seen and i have see alot!

  • @mayoizmad bit harsh

  • @mayoizmad would the worst rider be able to hav that good a seat on an out of control horse ?? no so all the people that are making mean comments think about what u are going to say

  • @XoXDARAoXo im sorry i was a bit harsh but to be perfectly honest i would of handled it differently and a tip i have learnt tell him who is boss :) sorry again i wasn't thinking nicely

  • Completement planté..

  • was he scared for the jump ?

  • and also CLEARLY your not an experiences rider!if i was with my instructor and i ride like that shed prob KILL me if u had someone who new what they were talkn about with you u could have done it!

  • take it from farther away and at a trot or canter and noyt from like 2 feet away at walk or as u call it WOOKK WWOOKK!

  • Niooo dont keep kicking him! Your confusing him! Youre kicking and tossing your reins around, hes gonna throw you off! Its three kicks then a whip!

  • i completely agree with MissEmmaWade. You should have had a crop on u and stop kicking him! If you want him not to rear, QUIT KICKING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try haveing him go over the jump on a lunge line then try while mounted. WITH A CROP!!!!!

  • -Bad Boy Gabriel-

he is barely bad, maybe if you could ride he would respect you more and therefore do what you are asking off him. Stop giving him mixed messages and kicking the crap out of him- do you want him to have broken ribs or something? poor horse:/

  • you are kicking him and flapping your arms like a chicken and he clearly doesn't give a crap !

  • rubbish rider :L

  • He wasn't happy on jumping that; perhaps turning him away from the jump and focusing on something else for a few minutes to get his attention and then trying the jump may be more successful.

  • Telling him to walk won't make him go much faster - if the horse keeps refusing like that turn him away, focus on something else then approach the jump again.

  • Keep your hands still when you kick! And dont put your hands out to the side when you wanna turn, keep the horses head straight. If you had circled the horse (properly) and tried clicking/kissing he may have responded better. Personally, I would have used a crop. They're not cruel if you know when and how to use it, plus if someone gives you the crop AFTER you're on the horse, he knows you have it so usually he'll respond better.

  • keep your hands still while kicking !

  • The filmer shouldn't have just been saying "Keep kicking" Did it ever spring to your mind that you should go over and help?

  • OMG congrats for staying on i wud have fallen out the side door

  • All you did was kick the hell out of him. Just kicking and saying walk isn't going to work. Why didn't you try clucking or kissing? If you turn a horse, their feet have to move so that's a good way to get them started. This horse is sour and it's your fault. All you're doing is making him mad. You deserve what's coming to you.

  • it kinda sounds like shes saying quock

  • I think using a crop would have made this situation easier and more bearable for both of you.

  • no matter how many times you throw the reins forwards, the horse is not going to move. it doesn't work like that. oh and try squeezing with your legs insted of beating the shit out of your horse.

  • I think you need a good job staying on and that the horse was more then likely taking the pee out of you well done for pulling his head round when he was pissing about, next time carry a whip and use it so as not to deaden his sides x

  • WAT THE HECK has no1 noticed she was in walk i dont care if u disagree i am not a horse tortuare unlike u and even I use a crop just carry one dont use it it makes a diffefence i carry 1

  • when i say walk on to my warm blood she goes right to a power walk or tap her with my legs she goes from walk to canter

  • @fjordchloeanderton haha when i was little i had a shetland that did that she comeated in the shetland grand prix (and won) now i have a stallion that gallops of if u hold him still while other r trotting XXXxxx

  • @indiwindi101 say riding helps the disabled and in comps u can win moneyXx

  • @MiAbRaMbLeCoCo thanks, will try that lol x

  • @indiwindi101 worked 4 me XXXxxx

  • not the horses fault at ALL! your sittin SLAMMING ur legs back and forwards against his side screaming " walk walk walk walk walk!"

that must be really irratating for you too but if you got proper instruction you mite have been able to do it sooner

Also dont rame ur hands up his neck!

  • why are you all giving her hate?the horse clearly wont go over the jump she can let it away with that.. jeez guys yous would do the same.

  • @EveluvsJBxx WELL DUHH SHE WAS WALKING WAT DO U EXPECT

  • @MiAbRaMbLeCoCo the horse was big enough to step over this:L can you not see the size off it?my horses are 14hh and 13.1hh and they can step over it.

  • @EveluvsJBxx yeah but the horse couldve walked over the jump, its not like it was 4 ft high. and personally i think the teacher should've walked the horse over the jump.

  • I understand he was being naughty, but that's not the way to deal with it

  • you should lean back more and sit down, don’t half stand and squeeze before you kick and don’t flap your legs, carry a whip if you're horse is likely to do something like this, and if he's not going over the jump then get him going and go large, don’t keep on driving him into something he clearly doesn’t want to do, and don't pull with your hands, squeeze with your legs and sqeueeze with your hands, yanking his head won’t help, If he really misbehaves then someone can lead him over the jump.

  • you need to kick harder... that's not gonna get him going at all...
