  • This song sucks. Listen to real music like Nickelback.

  • This is the kind of song I can just listen to over & over again...

  • I got this when it first came out. dave grohl was at least a little honest when he admitted to ripping off BM. props for rosemary, bob mould still rocks! This is from the original Husker Du from Morgantown, WV, 1983!

  • This whole cd is so awesome. I was in High School when it came out and I have so many good memories from listening to it.

  • Bob Mould is genius, this is one of the BEST power-pop songs ever!

  • Condoms save lives. STOP the needless spread of HIV.

  • why can i relate to this song so well??? gee....dont know??

  • Great band. i wish they would reunite.

  • and the tech?

  • fuck you top of the brb - where were you 6/16/11

  • funny how some songs can bring tears to your eyes even when the music is beautiful and upbeat...love this tune.

  • @strif109 Oh, boy - how right you are. "Change Your Mind" is a perfect example of of pop perfection - happy music, sad lyrics, hooks out the wazoo.

    Cheers.

  • Great pop tune, classic!!! Doesn't age at all.....seems as fresh today as it did 20 years ago. Mould is classic!!

  • Thanks for the memories.

  • @forangeljr

I used to jam the ever loving shit out of copper blue back in the day, and to THIS day, there aren't too many bands that can give me the same rush.

    Thanks for the upload brother.

  • hanks for posting, brings back good memories, Copper Blue is still one of my all time favorite albums.

  • @frankc32 Wow, what a subtle reaction.

  • @pandoranoid, I always try to tailor message to the given audience...

    Cheers!

  • @NotMichaelVoet: Bob is one of those artists that you really have to listen to over and over again to understand. He is a genius with regards to layering sounds. He uses guitar different than a normal guitar player would, he uses it more for effect and melody than rhythm. His hooks are brilliant and his vocal melodies and "harmonies" are unusual. I know this because I'm writing songs with a guitar player friend, and trying to emulate bob's style is extremely difficult, maybe impossible.

  • Mould = God

  • Who doesn't love Husker Du? Or probably Bob Mould.

  • go dad (Malcolm)

  • i allways loved this song i saw husker du in salt lake city at the indian center 1984.. wow time flys ......great band

  • Bob Mould FTW!

  • I've been a fan from "HuskerDu"...days...Bob is a god...good to see ppl other than me get it!!!

  • @munkefuk I was 26 and listening to 70's rock when a friend handed me Zen Arcade and said you need to hear this. Wow.

  • NOBODY KNEW

  • If he were straight, he'd be mine...XD

  • Man these were one of my favourite bands in the early nineties... thanks for bringing this classic to YouTube :)

  • aww i miss 120 minutes

  • "Planned Obselescence" @ :54

  • Copper Blue is my favorite of Bob's work. Just awesome.

  • Bob Mould and Sugar....music that helped me pull myself together when I was at the lowest point in my life. Life got better, and I am forever grateful for the great music that meant so much to me back then as it still does today.

  • @stevejpyro, Bob Mould rocks, no explanations necessary!!!

    Cheers!

  • One of the best songs and albums of its time. Classic.

  • Brilliant album, one of my favourites of all time.

  • Agree wholeheartedly. This album and song under rated to the max. And splasher just love the word ennui. A classic crossword clue or answer.

  • copper blue a seminal album.

along there with the roses second coming.

    and pearl jam ten.

  • Shaxan, could you please upload Your Favorite Thing? Was on YT for a while, but was deleted..........thanks for all the other vids!

  • i uploaded it once, but it got deleted

  • @shaxan Was that the video they filmed under the 183 overpass construction in Austin, Tx?. I lived a couple of blocks from there at the time and have been trying to find it.

  • sweet as a nut

  • this album was always very underrated..

why people dont listen to good music anymore?

  • It seems dumb, but "Copper Blue" really changed my life in an indirect way. Discovered them on one of those weird "Alternative Music Monthly" video compilation from the early-to-mid '90s and immediately fell in love with the sound. Kind of got shaken out of a Seattle-induced bout of ennui by the power of the melody in this song. I wonder how many other people were wrenched out of the world of grunge by Bob Mould?

  • @WeGotSplashers fuck aye "copper blue" ruined me too

  • I played this one for my dad back '92 when he was 50 and I was 16, and he said.. "... It sounds like the Beatles ..." ( which is a big compliment obviously, but even more so when my Pop, who doesn't really like anything post-Beatles admires it, too...GREAT TUNE BOB :)

  • @nonewmccarthyism, just well-fucking said.

    Cheers!

    frankc32

  • Bob Mould is a genius!

  • From Husker Du to Sugar to DJ Bob Mould. Copper Blue is one of the top albums for me.

  • does d.grohl/foo fighters have to pay bob royalties? guess alot of people should have to. man what a song.

  • what's the connection with bob to foo fighters?

  • The connection is every band inbetween

  • copper blue is their best album

  • you're left alone with something

and i hope for you it's one thing

that something you and yours can

hold and hold as something special.

  • This song absolutely kicks ass. It's pure and raw and honest and sincere. I could listen to it (another) 1000 times and never tire of it.

  • IMHO, w/out a doubt, a true perfect album! Every song is amazing. And what a great tour!

  • Gonna go purchase this album! Thanks for sharing!

  • perhaps the most perfect pop song of the 1990's. Bob Mould is so underrated.

  • it would be great if bob mould and robert pollard teamed up and did an album

  • Not sure if Bob could put up with Robert's short bursts of inspiration.

  • Good to see this up again. One of the best songs of the '90s.

  • bob has a knack for catchy songs but still with that edge to them......love the guy......reaffirmed my faith in pop music.....

  • Gee-angel,why do you make me feel so Helpless?

  • Great memory I have with this song is sitting in a car with some friends, in the back seat right next to what turned out to be a future ex-girlfriend of mine. This song came on the radio and she said "oh, I love this song!" So we both started singing it together. Pretty cool.

  • c. Rykodisc 1994. And Bob Mould for the world outside of North America. Used by permission. All rights reserved.

Bob owns every song he's ever released. So all you Mozart's-in waiting out there, stay in school. So you don't get schooled.

  • Mould is one of the best...we may never experience someone like mim ever again...modern radio will gaurentee that

  • Anyone know where this was shot?

  • Love him. I met him in oz great guy

  • GREAT song!

  • Thankyou. x

  • Thanks for posting!

    Why weren't Sugar bigger ?

This is great. I nearly wore out my Sugar CDs back in the day.

  • cause most people have their head up their ass

  • @DJkevvykev grunge and britpop, simply as

  • @DJkevvykev, for lack of a better answer, it was Mould's evasive "I'm Not Gay" bullshit that kept him out of the mainstream, and it was totally deliberate.

His new bio sheds a lot of light.

Bob Mould is a special human being.

    Cheers!

    FrankC32

  • @DJkevvykev i did hear that copper blue sold 5,000,000 copies!

a band would be lucky to sell 500 today.

  • @DJkevvykev amen brother!

  • I friggin' LOVE Sugar and this is about as wonderful as it gets!

  • Absolute masterpiece! Looked for this video so many times on here! The first Sugar record is a classic! Thanks!
