actually you are right, the lead character in this maze is Ida May, one of the main characters in Motel hell. Alot of these mazes are based on movies and there are easter eggs and secrets throughout mazes suggestion inspiration. Its cool if you're a Haunt fan.

They are there to scare, not talk.

the pigs selling human meat does make sense, it's an ironic sense cause humans sell pig meat. and the sign has a pig! and saying things is scary, too. it adds to the mood. and i'm not just singling out these 3 mazes. it goes for all the monsters in all the mazes. that's myself included. look at the streets, they talk, don't they?

You have to remember.. streets are able to create and develop their own character, which includes speech. Maze monsters have more of a limited character development and mostly rely on body movement to get scares vs. streets which uses sliding and other various techniques.
