This years wasn't as good ): Cause there were like shit loads of starter points, and i was stuck in the one marshaling area and didn't know how to get to others, last years was more fun, two sections, more hotter guys to touch ^_^ lol xD

  • @ThatKidIsOnCrack Yes I love it very much and much much longer than 20 minutes :)

    Thanking You for your support!

  • Well im straight, but i must admit i do like the mardi grae. I went with my GF las tyear and it was a blast.

  • Glad you enjoyed it. It really is great fun :)

  • Mardi Gras was great! I got tons of great pics as part of the Walk with Pride project -- nice video

  • Thanks so much and I am really glad that you enjoyed it :)

  • HAPPY TO BE GAY :D

  • Exactly. Happy Mardi Gras :)

  • hahahaha, bunch of gay faggots. hahahahaha.

all gays are dissapointed with who they really are. being gay is a form of emotional mask cause they are unhappy with themselves

  • Another closet case me thinks :)

  • Do these people do something good for society? Seriously, I am interested to know.

  • Do you? Yes they do. Doctors, nurses, fire fighters, medics :)

  • They do promote their skills. More to the point...why are you seeking out Mardi Gras videos? :)

  • @irocivan How old are you? 10? Don't be such an idiot. I'm glad to see people supporting the gay community. Unlike you, Jackass.

PS: I was there too! :) Happy (Belated) Mardi Gras!

  • Thanks so much and I hope you had fun. A happy belated Mardi Gras to you too :)

  • @Zidrien You are a Moron if you are proud to go to those kind of events. Seriously body, go out from there and learn how to find peace and real love. At least try it.

  • @irocivan If you think that I am homosexual, then no. I am straight. But I am happy to support the gay community, and that DOSEN'T MEAN THAT I GO TO THESE VIDEOS AND POST HATE COMMENT LIKE YOU, YOU INTOLERANT PIECE OF OF SHIT! IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT THE GAY COMMUNITY, THEN WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT THE VIDEOS??? ARE YOU GAY SIR??? IF NOT, THEN DON'T GO TO THESE VIDEOS!

  • @Zidrien I also support the gay community, so cheers to you, I can't stand people who come just to ripp them, I think that they have just as much right as us straight people, I am against however violent protest, but since they are not, im all for them.

  • Primo vid bro. Looks pretty wild and lots of fun. Will definitely go next year. Cheers.

  • Thanks buddy. You will have an awesome time :)

  • Willian, you're the most happy guy that i've seen in all my life. Congratulations! You're inspiration for all of us. Hugs.

  • Thanks so much and you really do inspire me with your very kind and encouraging comments :)

  • Wow, this looks amazing!! I'm hoping to go next year, I've never been!! One question I was hoping you could answer- do you have to be 18 to go, because I'm only 16... Anyway, thanks so much for uploading!! :) x

  • hi there you will have a gtreat time. i loved it and yes you can go at 16. have a great time.

  • You can be of any age. I'd suggest getting there early, or taking something to stand on, or being tall. I went twice, got there early but never saw the parade. Being short and asthmatic, the taller people stole all the oxygen and I ended up in the back of an ambo on both occasions.

But I've gotta say, if you miss the parade, check out Hyde Park the next morning. Everyone's constumes are ruined and they are looking pretty bad, but funny!

  • Awesome, that's good about the age thing- and height is no problem. As crazy as it sounds, I'm 16 and 6'7' tall! Thanks very much. :)

  • Wow I am only five foot seven :)

  • haha I went for the first tme when I was 16! there are even babies there with their mothers. You cant go to any clubs of course. Make sure you go next time!

  • It is awesome :)

  • Wow, Aussie guys are so frickin hot. There was this hunk over in Dublin a couple o' years ago, with bllonde dreads and a red bandana, was he hot!

    Where is he now? Sniff

  • Aussies are so hot hehe :)

  • What would happen if everyone thought it's ok to become gay or lesbian?!We would not make more babies...and no families so it is not ok for me....since I can't change anything about it I am just going to say be who you want to be pal...just think about what I said.

  • Yes and for me it would not be an issue as gays and lesbians do have babies and families. Like you say be who you want to be :)

  • You really captured the atmosphere -thanks.

  • Thank you so much. I really appreciate it :)

  • lol the person chasin after the life gaurd and some one says "i'll have what she's having" lol too funny :)

  • Lol that is my favourite bit too. Funnily enough I actually know the life guard lol

  • Thanks for posting this!!!

  • Thanks so much. It was such a fun day :)

  • Well done Kensington ... I loved your video. I have just moved from Sydney to the UK, South West area. This brought back some awesome memories of a wonderful night.

  • What is the name of that song you are singing and who is the artist ? " it's good to be alive, to be alive."

  • I love that song. It is French singer Patrick Hernandez and Born To Be Alive. A young madonna was one of his backing dancers when he toured :)

  • The song is called "Born to be Alive" - Disco Factory. You can find it on iTunes

  • great video, hoping to make it out to Oz for Mardi Gras 2010, so keep your fingers crossed!

Can I ask how to find the song at 3:02? Its one of my fave songs but would love to hear the full dance version.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there and thanks so much. I really appreciate it. Mardi Gras is great fun and you will have an awesome time. Now I believe the song is I am What I am by Hannah Jones available on Almighty Records. I hope that helps :)

  • The song is called "Born to be Alive" - Disco Factory. You can find it on iTunes

  • Great job with this buddy. But, i need ur help, I want to make great videos, but I do not own a camera; how do I make better videos?

  • Hi there Onionfresh, you can get some cameras that are not expensive. The trick is to film what you enjoy and you think that others will. Everyone has their own style. I am sure you will be great :)

  • Nicely done William

  • Aussie soldiers died for this.... Idont think so

  • I hope not. I would not want anyone dying for any cause.

  • Oh really, edancri?

Thre have ALWAYS been gays in the military organisations of the world. But unti morerecent and enlightened times the gay military men and women had to fight and even die for freedoms for everyone else that they would NEVER be granted.

    SO PULL YA HEAD IN!

  • so jealous... wish i went!!!!!

  • Lol thanks so much. I really hope you make it one day :)

  • was there from 6 in the afternoon til 9:30. the parade was scheduled to start at 7:45 (as I was informed). WAs getting tired waiting, it was getting late. So I just took some pictures and left for home. It was supposed to be my first time to see the mardis gras. Oh well, no regrets. I was able to sleep. haha

  • Yes we started on time. I hope you enjoyed it :) It was great fun this year.

  • Actually it started soooo late. We were there from 6. It was past nine and I couldn't see any parade. I just took photos of where the parade was going to start and went home. A bit frustrated coz I wasn't able to see the parade.

  • I was marching and we started at about740pm and I had finished by about 830 and was walking home by then. Where were you standing? Were you in the right place? Dykes on Bikes started much earlier than 740 pm.

  • It also had to start on time because of the tv coverage and advertisers.

  • Excellent, nice to know it's a world event.

The weather was so perfect this year, and you all looked fabulous!

  • Thank you so much. We were so lucky with the weather :)

  • Wow, Brilliant! I enjoyed watching. You must have been up all night. What a great time.

  • Thanks so much. It was a very long day and evening :)

  • Wow, that was a lot of fun. Thanks for posting this for us William. Great to see SaintFletcher there too. :)

  • We both had a lot of fun :)

  • Thanks so much for sharing this video. I was at the Mardi Gras in 2007 ... this brings back so many fond memories ... keep up the good work. Roll on July 1st ... another step forward for humanity.

  • Thanks so much for your support. It means a lot :)

  • hey merrick...fuck off

  • So I have to keep quiet because you don't like what I have to say?

Why don't you fuck off you queef.

  • And you opened and responded to the video why exactly?

  • Because I have a right to free speech.

  • merrick, i think that you are an ignorant and intolerant person. just ME being honest!

  • That's perfectly fine, I accept that.

It's just my opinion and I should be able to freely express it.

I'm tolerant, I tolerate gays, I just don't like them, I think the intolerant ones are the people who are trying to silence my opinion because they don't like it.

  • Nobody has denied you the right to your opinion, seems to me like you have a persecution complex. I can't help but wonder why someone anti gay would open a video titled "Sydney Mardi Gras 2009". Maybe a little curious and insecure about your own feelings?

  • Not really, I'm just a fan of kensington25 and vow to watch every video I'm subscribed to, even if it's against my beliefs.

  • Merrick, I didn't know you were like THAT.Hey, I don't like most gay people either. But I had fun. I will fight for the rights of equality no matter what, as well as your right to disagree. Even if it is just an insecurity problem on your part. I just don't know what you are afraid of. If I don't like blacks, does that make me racist?

  • Hey William, I really wish I was with you now in Australia - life here in England is so boring.. :(

Good luck in the march at the Mardi Gras. Hehe, sorry, but I have to chuckle at 03:13 - 03:18.

    Alix X

  • Thanks Alex, it was great fun :)
