For what it's worth, mate, I'm backing you up on this. Marvel has become more popular recently, and die-hard Batman fans these days are full of it because the movies are such a success, but, nothing will change the fact that Superman is THE definitive superhero. He kicked off the whole Superhero line and made it popular for the world. Batman even started out as a small-time vigilante in his shadow.

Nothing can ever top Supes ;)

Superman is awesome, when he's written well. But that rarely happens, except with this series, John Byrne's, Siegel and Schuster's and the Fleisher's versions, with a handful of creators since.

Batman has it much better. Batman comics and the Batman Animated Series are of equally high quality, Superman's had far more pitfalls.

Having said that, both Animated Series were awesome and I really think the DCAU needs to make a comeback.

apparently this intro originally intended to be a short story similar to the intro to Batman The animated series, but the studio ran out of time to make it, and instead had to settle for using various clips from various episodes. I really wonder what the intro would have looked like. BTW supposedly the part at 0:33 where superman is flying through the night sky, is a small part of the abandoned idea and so is the ending where supes ripps his shirt to reveal the "S" symbol

I like DC and Marvel. It's pretty silly to be all like "Marvel sux ass lolz" or "DC is ghey" when it's obvious the two companies really need each other for the comic industry to stay afloat. Plenty of writers from one company have written for the other and are friends with those who write for the other company. Without one, the other would fail spectacularly as they rely on the competition for sales.
