Of course with WWII those prevention plans were proven to have been in vain. And Yugoslavia's breakup since 1990 as well as Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in 1990 both prove that the Superpowers meddling in small countries affairs doesn't work in the long run. Just look at all those former British, Spanish, and Prtuguese colonies. They're all independent today. So much for the rich and their political cronies forcing their interests down everyone's throats.
Should've added to my second to last post that Romania has been known as such officially since the 1860's when Moldavia and Wallachia which were seperate nations and or provinces at various times before the 1860's,
united (1864?). But the modern version with Transylvania included began in 1920 after Trianon when the superpowers allowed a landgrab by countries surrounding Hungary of the lands then belongong to Hungary, so that
Many Wallachs were for unity with Hungary as when Vlad the Impaler who was a border count
for King Matthew of Hungary warred with the Ottoman's. Historically, the voivods who ruled Wallachia were divided in allying both against and with the Turks at various times.
Romania was created by the superpowers in 1920the same way that Yugoslavia was. So the politicians, especially during communism were desperate to hold on to their power. Ceaucescu was sort of like Milosevic.
I should've added that the part of Wallachia known as Muntenia is actually the part of Dacia that's considered the cradle of Romanian culture, since Dacia did include Transylvania in Roman times, but was inhabited by Bessarabians, Celts, Gepids, Thracians, Huns, and Romans at various times, whereas the Vlachs or Wallachs are only mentioned from the Middle Ages on and then mostly as living from the southern part of the Carpathians to the Black Sea and down towards the Balkans.
I know where it is, my mother has a cousin who attended college there.Besides it is hair splitting to argue whether that area is Banat or Translvania as historically,Parceum, the lands of the Secui, the Moldavian and Bukovinan Csangos, and the eastern Banat were all refered to under the umbrella term of Transylvania. BTW,most Romanians I know, consider Dacia the birthplace of their culture, not Transylvania, because Transylv. was either part of Hungary or independent through much of history.
gong.., you're partially correct actually. I checked the Renaissance era map I have, and Timisoara is part of Banat which along with Transylvania was part of Hungary before Trianon in 1921. However, that is not Southwest Romania today, it is Centralwest, as the area historically called Dacia south of the Carpathians is were the Southern parts lie. Timisoara is in the former County named Temes surrounded by to the East Krasso-Szoreny, to the West, Torontal, to the North, Arad counties.
Of course if you already know all this history, and were only joking, I'm sorry for having felt the need to explain, but there are many uninformed people on this subject who can be misled.
It seems to me, pokbacsi100, that you are not romanian, so you could make mistakes regarding romanian geography. Timisoara is located in a region called Banat, situated in the south-west of Romania, Banat is different than Transylvania. About Transylvania, I should say that the most important detail about it is that it is the cradle of romanian culture. That is, if you know it's history.
Historically, during some centuries Transylvania was independent before, and many Transylvanians want independence again so neither Romania, nor Hungary can railroad it's
own interests. Of course the powerful politicians don't want to lose their grip on power or their careers, (like Milosevic and his buddies), or their sources for income, taxes, so they don't want to give up an area that has many natural resources. This is really what it comes down to everywhere in the world. Greed!
radupanait, you're 23, according to the pic next to your name, you must be, 'cause you look young. This means your parents already learned altered history in Communism's schools. Timisoara was Temesvar before Trianon
in 1920. But don't take my word. Look at the map. It falls above the old Carpathian Mountains border, so yes, it is part of Transylvania, which use to be part of Hungary and since 1920 is part of Romania. The commies
categorized it as a territory rather than country.
Paco evocando a suprema musicalidade deste mundo, com as pinceladas sonoras de seu mago violão, em momentos de sinergia pura com nossa alma...gracias ao YOUTUBE
This video has some of the best interaction between Paco and the audience that I've seen so far out of several YouTube vids. Paco usually keeps a straight face with the classier audiences, but you can tell here he's enjoying some of that "lowlife" reaction. Of course in Transylvania, common folk tend to know real music better than elsewhere due to the many villages where farmers and gypsies still play excellent traditional folk music, Hungarian,Gypsy,Saxon,Moldavian,Wallach, etc.
@pokbacsi100 MICHAEL TSARION IS A VERY COMPREHENSIVE CONSPIRACY RESEARCHER/LECTURER/AUTHOR. DR. BILL DEAGLE AND JORDAN MAXWELL ARE HIGHLY INFORMATIVE AS WELL. P.S. MELTING EUPHORIA IS A HOLISTIC PSYCHEDELIC PROG ROCK BAND THAT IS NOW DEFUNCT BUT HAS FOUR STUDIO CD'S ND ARE SIMILAR TO OZRIC TENTACLES AND GONG.
@pokbacsi100 Today you can find young players with more gas and more left hand dynamics but none of them has this ability to marvelous the audience with this combination of tecnique and musicality that Paco has...long life to the master!!
